Revving Up the C5 Z06 Fuel Pump to Maximum Power!
I can picture the missing rubber plug for your carb. It has a flat bottom with a stem sticking up that you pull through the hole on the arm. Bowl vent valve or something like that.
an SOS soap pad or some 0000 alt steel wool and some water will shine those bumpers and chrome everywhere like new and get rid of the rust! Then give em a good polish! You'll be glad you did! Ha! Ha! Oh and the alternator is probably correct! Didn't have much electrical in that car! Love your videos! Oh, at the end.....No whitewalls. BooHoo!
@@kevindoxey I'll try the steel wool trick. Thanks for the kind words!
Lol hilarious about the part of “that’s the car that rolls off the cliff “ in CHiPs
@TierodMcslush Every single episode! Thanks for watching and commenting, my friend!
People never think about how dried out fuel hoses, brakes, seals & gaskets can reek havoc- today's ethanol blends work to dry hose out even faster, fuel pump diaphragms, and destroy carb seals, gaskets, etc. Wix oil filter is 51515, and they make filters for a lot of packaging companies/private labels. I never use Fram; factory, Wix or Baldwin
@olikat8 I just talked to the original owner. He's excited to get a ride in it when it's on the road. I am, too. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@mohawkgarage I built a 410 using a 428 crank in a '73 FTE 390 block- big hint from my machinist buddy who loves Fords. Use the 428 CJ oil filter adapter, really helps oil flow which is very important with top-oilers...
@@olikat8 Cool build!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!
The other carb. is an earlier model. They are fairly close all the way back to 1957. The hole is just a vent. There probably was a plug attached to the arm. Gas will shoot out that hole if the float is stick.
@theprinceofsnj That's exactly what happened. I'll be installing the rebuild kit next. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I don't know much at all about Fords except that they're harder to work on and more expensive than Chevys. Lol

I just wanted to make a comment about the gumball machine that you found in Kentucky that still has the toys in it. I worked for the man who invented the acorn bubble gum machine back in the 1920's and I would ride around with him restocking them in different states and I definitely remember Kentucky having to drive across creeks to get to the stores .His name was Lee Smith and he passed away around 1983. So if the toys are still in it that we would get out of his closed down airport in Charlotte which he used for the business then you definitely have some vintage gum ball machine toys.
