🙋♂️THANKS LOU AND DENNIS,FOR KEEPING US IN THE PINK 😁🤗💚💚💚
Hi Budget Audiophile Life-long, You're welcome, Lou
Wow. That is a gorgeous car! The story was that the stylist Bill Schmidt had been scuba diving in the Bahamas and the reef sharks he saw gliding through the water inspired the lines of the car. There's a guy in Indy named Phil Shafer who has a convertible in Amethyst that had belonged to his grandma. Would love to see the two cars together! Thanks, Lou.
Hi Tom, Happy to read "Wow. That is a gorgeous car!" :-) Would be fun to meet Phil and share that car too. You're welcome, Lou
Truly lovely car. Enjoyed it lots. Thanks to you and the owner for sharing this gem with us.
Hi Watt, Happy to share this "gem" with you, Lou
What a scarce piece of Automobile Art...a Mid Century Moderne Masterpiece. Thanks Dennis and Lou.
High praise CJ Design :-)
Both bazaar and beautiful car. He has kept it in beautiful condition. love the hood ornament and bazaar AC vent system. Same exhaust run as the Continental of the same year. Thanks Lou, you got the details.
Hi Alex, My pleasure sharing the details with you. You're welcome, Lou
The air conditioner is in the trunk. That's why those clear tubes come out of the back.
Happy Independence Day! An American car for an American holiday. What a beautiful car in pink.
Hi Cars Are The Best, Happy Independance Day! Happy to share this American car with you :-) Lou
Gorgeous. One of the styling masterpieces that can't be improved, like the 61 Lincoln or 65 Riviera. And Y-blocks have such a great sound. This is a bucketlist car for me. You can tell how understandably happy Dennis is with his new acquisition...lots of bling in his garage with this Lincoln parked next to his Cadillac!
Hi Steve S, Happy to read "One of the styling masterpieces that can't be improved" :-) Lou

You're absolutely CORRECT!
There are very few cars that I personally wouldn't change a thing on... The '56 Lincoln is one of those... They're absolutely gorgeous
Hats off to his father. What a wonderful car.
Hi RJ, Happy to read you enjoy this "wonderful car" :-) Lou
Very nice Lincoln - definitely a unique colour! Very clean example with great lines.

Stunning car - the 1956 is THE most beautiful Lincoln ever built.
High praise :-)
It's just gorgeous inside and out! It certainly has left an impression upon me, and its completely understandable why it did on Mr. Price, too. What a treat! Thanks, Lou!
Hi TheGunfighter45acp, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this "treat" :-) You're welcome, Lou
Holy pink guacamole this one is a most stoopendous example of operational object de arting. Jimmeny crickets couldn't have presented this magnificence any more spectacularly. Thanks Lou. This is the best show on Y-Tube.
Hi gnewb e, High praise :-) You're welcome, Lou
What an amazing car and in such original condition. It's what luxury should be. Thanks for sharing Lou.
Hi AllanK, Happy to share this "amazing car" with you :-) You're welcome, Lou
Gorgeous car. I always loved the Ford concept cars of the early '50's like the XM-800 and Mystere, and this car was the closest actual production car to their styling cues. Very elegant tasteful lines. One of my all time favorites for sure.
Hi Joseph, Happy to read "One of my all time favorites for sure" :-) Lou
Arguably, the ‘56 Lincolns were among the most beautifully designed ones to roll off the assembly line. And the pastels color palette with matching leather interiors topped all other manufacturers’ offerings. Beautiful car!
Hi Noel, High praise of the design of this car :-) Lou
What a beautiful color, that one close up of it when you were opening the door I seen the sparkle and richness, The matching steering wheel and interior were perfect match as well, sometimes interior colors don't match up that good, the attention to detail back then was so awesome . What an era of luxury automobile manufacturing.
Awesome car Dennis and thank you Lou for showing it
Hi Scott, Happy to read the details you enjoy with this car :-) You're welcome, Lou
THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE, ALL THE NEW CARS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE STYLED AFTER A SUPPOSITORY.
WHERE DID THE STYLE GO? ONLY 4 COLORS WHITE, SILVER, GREY, BLACK, BORING.
Suddenly it's 1956 again! 👍. Lou, you've done it again! Today July 4th. What a great celebration of the GREAT AMERICAN Luxury Sedan. For 56 Lincoln was the most striking of Luxury vehicles from the big three. As I recall, Lincoln For 56 was given an award for styling by some engineering organization. 🏆 Lincoln was the last to offer a full size RWD Luxury Sedan. Fortunately have a 2007 Town Car Signature Limited which will literally carry me to the grave! LINCOLN, what a Luxury car should be! 😎
Hi RICK 0e, Happy to share this "GREAT AMERICAN Luxury Sedan" with you :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
In 1956, when I was 11, my mom's cousin from TEXAS came to visit. THIS is the exact car she and her husband showed up in. It was Pink. It had those airflow tubes in the rear window. It was warm 80° plus the day she arrived in California. She made sure she was wearing her MINK STOLE ! THEY were in "OIL" !
HI fob1xxl, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Moms Cousin from TEXAS car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou

One of the most beautiful cars that Lincoln ever offered. Great colors, and air conditioned too!
High praise :-)
There's a man who loves his Lincoln. He got hold of a beauty
Happy to share this "beauty" with you :-)
The "car of the future" ... (just before the promised "hover car")... what a stylish beauty ! Love the AC tubes from the back window to the roof and all the attention to detail, lines and badging. It's a rolling commercial !
HI CDN Citizen, "It's a rolling commercial !" GREAT LINE! Lou
I think those tubes were so cool...but most folks thought they ruined vision provided by the rear view mirror.
Lou , you continue to knock it outta the park, especially with very rare bird as always Thank You and please keep'em coming for us.
Hi Kevin, Happy to read my batting average is high with you :-) You're welcome, Lou
Wow!!!! Such a beauty!…, and it sounds even better….
High praise :-)
Wow, Lou!
What an incredible Lincoln!
The '56 Lincolns were probably the best styled of the Fifties, next to the MK.II....
Hi Slick, High praise for the styling of this car :-) Lou
20 years agoI was very near to buy a exactly like car in same colorcombo, but it was a unrestored convertible in awesome condition. - I didn`t bought it., I was a IDIOT and one of the most stupid things in my whole life. - When I see this beauty, I got tears in my eyes! - Thank you Lou and thanks to the owner for showing this car on your channel Lou!

Gorgeous Lincoln! Pink! ❤❤
Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-)
You're right Jaime, This one has too much to share. I agree the air conditioning unit is sure different with those clear tubes. My pleasure sharing this "automotive gem" with you, Lou
Now that's style! And the exhast notes are an added bonus.
HI Delray Shaffer, Happy to read you enjoy the style and sounds from this car :-) Lou
My parents bought one used in "59. Mom and Dad decided to get it painted at Earl Scheib in a black over yellow color. I don't recall the original color but odds are it started out something pale. The car turns up in some of our earliest home movies. I remember riding in it with its white interior.
HI TralfazConstruction, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Parents car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Beautiful 2-door hardtop! Designed by John Tjaarda, who also designed the 1955 Lincoln Futura, which it resembles.
Hi Dejael, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Lou
Love that Amethyst color!
Happy to read you like this color :-)
wow! Ive never heard of this model and wow is it gorgeous, amazing design cues and the color suits it perfect, wow Im blown away, Lou you have a good eye for cars that attract us gear heads.
Hi soupercooper, Happy to receive a "wow!" from you :-) Good news! Here is one more for you, Lou czcams.com/video/ziEEAdOezV4/video.html
I TRULY BELIEVE THAT 1956 WAS ONE OF THE BEST YEARS FOR STYLING, LINCOLNS, FORD CROWN VICS, NOMAD, BELAIRS WITH THEIR 2 TONES, ON AND ON, GREAT YEAR.
Hi David, High praise for the styling of 1956 :-) Lou
@@loucostabile I WAS 10 AT THE TIME AND ALREADY LOVED THE BEAUTIFUL STYLING OF THE CARS, AND THE BEAUTIFUL COLORS, HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT 4TH LOU, KEEP THE GREAT VIDEOS COMING, MY GRANDAUGHTER GOT MARRIED TODAY, DAVE
Great car Lou!! One of the classics of the 1950s. The Amethyst Pink looks amazing - but the Wisteria (Purple) looks even better!!
Hi Tiger, Happy to read "Great car" :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you, Lou
This really brings me back!...While stationed in the Navy in San Diego, 1970--I somehow found a jewel of a 1957 Lincoln Premiere. Turquoise color, 4-door, with that 368 engine (for 57, the hp was boosted to an even 300) The car at that time had only 33,000 miles on it...and I bought it for $800 bucks!...Being a young idiot about cars, I decided to sell it less than a year later. Over these last 50+ years now, I have not seen more than a half-dozen of these excellent cruisers, here in the Seattle area. I have read, that the 1957 model was not popular with Lincoln fans...and in 1958, Lincoln changed the styling dramatically, and stuck with that new look, for over a decade. The 1957 model year sported large fins--not appreciated by the wealthier car buyers, I guess!...that model year was the lowest-selling year of the 1950s, for Lincoln.
Hi Curbozer Boomer, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I saw one exactly like this one when I worked for a grocery store in 1963
Hi Wayne, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Nice ride, just think back to the late 50s, what a dude you were in that car.
Hi Scott, Happy to read you enjoy this "Nice ride" :-) Lou
One of my favorites!! I'm very jealous Dennis! Best of luck to him! Absolutely stunning!
I'd drive it every day!
Bit of a "hot rod Lincoln" rumble to it🤙👌
Hi DJ G, Happy to read "One of my favorites!!" :-) Lou
WOW!! He scored big time getting that car!! It's beautiful. I had a 57 Lincoln, but Ford put those Batmobile fins on it and it just wasn't as clean as the 56. That AC is super rare. I read that AC was an $8,500 option in todays dollars. Can you imagine? Most homes in 1956 didn't have AC.
Hi JWelchon, Happy to receive a "WOW!" from you :-) Glad to read you had a fun car too, Lou
Absolutely spectacular!
High praise :-)
One of your best Lou! Love the Y Block
High praise Sam :-)
Back in the late 60’s my sun aunt and uncle had a 1956 Premier 4 door hardtop. It had been their main vehicle until 1967. They kept it as a secondary vehicle. Another uncle bought a 1957 Premier from a collector who had died back in the early 70’s. I remember it had a white leather interior.
Hi Dave, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Aunt & Uncles car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Beautiful car. Thanks for showing it guys.
Hi Donald, Happy to read "Beautiful car" :-) You're welcome, Lou
What a beautiful classic! That's a car one don't see everyday! There aren't hardly any 1956 Lincoln Premiere on the road. I find the air conditioning system quite unique! That has to be a first for me. It has a healthy sounding engine, and that Amethyst and white paint scheme looks real sharp! On another note, I saw your Dodge Viper in the background! What a beautiful car Lou! Happy July 4th!
Hi Michael, Happy to read you enjoy this "beautiful classic" :-) Yes, the Viper made a cameo appearance in the background. Happy 4th of July, Lou
Our neighbors across the alley had a cream-white 1957 Premiere with cream and turquoise upholstery, factory AC (I loved the tubes) and a Continental Kit. The car was so long that their garage door couldn't close. They owned the only fountain pen sales and repair shop in Downtown Los Angeles and made a good living. They replaced it in 1965 with a Ford Country Squire Galaxie station wagon.
Hi John, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your neighbors car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou

What a fantastic, beautiful car! I've never seen one like it before. I imagine the air vented in the ceiling was quite innovative at the time
Hi Steve, Happy to read "What a fantastic, beautiful car!" :-) I agree, that air vented ceiling is quite interesting, Lou
Hello Lou! I was just sitting here messing with my phone, and i typed 1956 Lincoln Premiere in the CZcams search engine just to see what I would find. And I found this - another one of your fabulous videos on another fabulous mid-1950s car. The LINCOLN PREMIERE FOR 1956!
Now here we are in 2024, and a car like this is not what we see every day now. Lincoln was going up against Cadillac (as usual) and, over at Chrysler, Imperial was in its second year as a separate brand. Packard, meanwhile, was in its final year before the arrival of those "Packardbakers" that eventually drove it to its grave a short two years later. Many choices for luxury car buyers in 1956. Those were the days!
Thanks again, Lou, for another video. You always bring out one great and interesting video after another!
Hello Know Bodies Full, Thanks for sharing the CZcams search is bringing you to a video I've done. You're right, you don't see this car today. Thanks for viewing and sharing your knowledge. You're welcome. Thought you'd like to see this one, Lou czcams.com/video/ziEEAdOezV4/video.html

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Really enjoy your videos.👍🏻
Hi Pat, Happy to read "Awesome" :-) Glad you're along for the ride, Lou
Hi, Lou! Nothing like having a big ol' pink Lincoln breathe fire in your face to celebrate the 4th! LOL! By the way, if you think this back window is slick, you ought to watch the back window of any 1956 Chrysler Corporation four-door hardtop. You'll definitely want to demonstrate that if you ever get the chance.
Many thanks to you and Dennis for this video Premiere of his new pride and joy! Enjoy the fireworks, and Happy Birthday!
Hi iswc27, Happy to share this fire breathing Lincoln with you. Hoping you see many fireworks and thank you for the Happy Birthday :-) Lou
Nice 67 year old leather interior, smart repaint - kept original exterior color; excellent show. . . :>/
Happy to share this car with you :-)

High praise :-)
I've always thought the 1956 was the prettiest Lincoln made.
Add in 'factory air' and you have the rarest.
High praise :-)
Hi Lou, a other great car from the US, great show. 👍👍.
Hi Philip, Happy to share this "great car" with you :-) Lou
Stunning and rare. Maybe not beautiful, but it is a time capsule of how life was. And it is still not as ugly as a modern Honduh or Toyoduh!
Hi Carroll, Happy to read you appreciate "Stunning and rare" :-) Lou
Beautiful car ! Should be called Jackie Kennedy Pink !
Nice :-)
It's interesting Dennis says a friend had this same color car in the early sixties. One of our neighbors had this same color scheme on a '56 Lincoln circa 1964. So it brought back some childhood memories.
That engine sounds ferocious! And it looked like it has a padded dash, unusual in '56.

Nice :-) Happy 4th of July!
The styling and color choices in the 50s made the best era of Automotive industry that Lincoln is cherry condition
Hi Larry, Happy to share the cars from this era with you, Lou
Lou, my neighbor had a '57 just like this one except for huge tail fins. One very strange option was an automatic starter system. It would start for you and be nice and warm in the winter or it would kill the battery trying to fire up. Strange, very strange option. His was Aqua with a white top. He was an older man but very sharp about this car.
Hi Dale, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your neighbors car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I've always seen the 1956 Lincoln as THE prettiest of all Lincolns.
The 4-V was progressive linkage and under full acceleration, the rear barrels opened which was like dropping into a lower gear.
Hi Jerry, "I've always seen the 1956 Lincoln as THE prettiest of all Lincolns." High praise.
Imagine using the same materials in a car today. This car looks as though it's a work of art as well. In my opinion keep all of the computer crap and give me this old school technology any day of the week.
Hi Robert, Happy to read you appreciate this "work of art" :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing. Lou

my '56 premiere, 2 dr. hardtop body has a chassis and floor and trunk pan from a 1969 t-bird. the '69 429 engine w/ c-6 auto trans, all 4 wheel coil spring suspension, front power disc brakes and duel master cylinder. the rear wheel openings moved forward 4" to fit the frame, and the rear fenders/fins and trunk lid are shortened 20" to fit the trunk floor of the "69 t-bird.
Hi Timothy, Happy to read you have a fun car too. Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Amazing car!
Happy to read "Amazing car!" :-)
Another beautiful vintage car, Lou! I've been watching your channel since 2020. I absolutely love the color combination and the unique A/C system. I was curious if the A/C still worked. I love how the rear passenger windows go down in a unique way! Truly a beautiful car. Good luck to it's new owner...I know he will cherish it.
Hi Jerry, Happy to see you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Yes A./C works. Lou
@@loucostabile My name isn't Jerry; it's Dawn.
You need to show us his '59 Cadillac too.
Here you go. czcams.com/video/JyEDN-H0r_A/video.html
One of the few cars where I probably like the sedan as much if not more than the hardtop. Amythest is totally appropriate for a 2dr or a covert, but I'm also partial to Wisteria. More conservative on the sedan I think. Love the front door panel treatment - so artistic; jewelry. There were significant mechanical improvements to the 57, but it just wasn't as clean - and the 'canted blades' while probably a market necessity, just didn't quite do it. I always liked the knight's crest logo, tho never knew what its association with Lincoln was. It lasted about 15 years, but then the star motif completely superseded it w/o any real explanation except 'hey, it's a Continental star'. 1956 was so clean - got design awards - that it was high water production mark that would stand until 1969 when the it was surpassed only because of the great success of the Mark III. Unfortunately Lincoln today, through neglect and poor parent comnpany choices is almost irrelevant today and will probably be dropped barring devine intervention. Hard to believe they were nip and tuck with Cadillac production in 1990. Cool car, props to the owner.
Hi Joe, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the details you notice, Lou
Funky car, has such a long looking trunk, but has very nice proportions
Happy to read you enjoy the proportions of this car :-)
Beautiful car! I like the "tuck and roll" seat upholstery. In 1957 they would offer the popular "button and biscuit" upholstery that would be seen on Lincolns and T-Birds into the early 1960's. The air conditioning system required a
whopping 6.5 pounds of Freon (the R-12 good stuff) compared to around 3 pounds in today's cars. I will email an interesting article to you an the A/C.
Hi Biblio Bill, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car. Thank you for sharing an article on the AC too. Lou
The way they got those rear windows to go up and down is pretty clever.
If the brochure isn't showing a 4-door hardtop, does that mean that they didn't even produce those? If so, Lincoln missed out on a vital market share
Happy to read he details you enjoy :-)
That is a sweet car. Let me know if you ever come to western mass.lou. here in the Berkshire it's hard to find classic cars. Sometimes at cars shows I guess. Would love ❤to meet you out here someday Lou. I watch a lot of your videos. I live em
