- By chance I came across a Ford Mercury dealership closed decades ago, and it is loaded with stuff. 2 buildings, an attic, 2 trailers, a parts department, and 2 old dealership trucks. Parts, wheels, vintage tires, marketing literature, documentation and more. This place is awesome! Contact info of the seller is as follows: Phone: 931.716.2428 or visit midtntreasures.com

I love the Fairmont sign! Very cool. It was nice meeting you guys at power tour
Christina and I enjoyed meeting you all as well. You are a special family. The sign is yours next time I get out your way.
❤❤❤
@@whattherust My two favorite you tubers in one place!
Ya'll should do a collab. That would be cool! 😎 Awesome sign! I knew it as soon as I saw it: Josh would love that! 😁 That place was a time capsule, just like Toohey's. I've never seen so many genuine NOS parts in my life. The old bias Uniroyals were cool, but it would cost a fortune to ship, I imagine. And the Ford Capri sign.....just wow! Would look great on my wall. Love that stuff! Thanks for sharing, Richard!
@@davida.p.9911 That would be awesome, David. Thank you for the idea and the long-term support.
What a time capsule! It's hard to believe that it still exists.
All I can say is wow.! I'm speechless.! Brings a lot of memories.!
This reminds me of my first job after high school -- the local Chevy dealer hired a bunch of us to clean up and organize the parts department --- talk about needing a shower after work...
Congrats on finding that treasure trove.
That sounds like a pretty cool job! Appreciate you watching ❤
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍🇺🇸. Congratulations on the fine ! Richard please keep in mind I your means one American business is no more ! Hope who owns it now fines a home for most of that stuff ! You Ford guys better take a good look ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍🇺🇸 Congratulations
WOW car parts paradise! You and Christina must have really enjoyed browsing through all those cool car parts. Christina is such a cool lady to enjoy all that automotive stuff too!
She sure is. Always there to keep the excitement going.
Amazing to just come across a find like this. I was wondering what was in the mechanics toolbox above the Fairmont sign and the other ones. Thanks for plugging my channel!
YEA WAY 😎 COOL Richard & Christine! That Was Awesome to Go Through That Old Ford Dealership! You Two are So Lucky to Find This Kinda Places & 👀 See All This Amazing Stuff Just Sitting Wasting Away! I Really Love ❤️& Enjoy Where You Two Travel & Show Us Subscribers This Cool Stuff!!! LOVE ❤️ Your Channel Richard & Christine!! From AL- "The Snoman"!!
Thank you Alvin ❤ I always wonder what we'd find if we looked. These things just seem to find their way to us. Appreciate your support ❤
You took the words out of my mouth! Sleeperdude would love it!!
That's a significant treasure trove of new old stock parts, and a full time job for someone to sort & catalog everything.
Yeah, we are very busy!
I was about to say that, and looks like someone is doing just that!
That is quite the collection of old ford stuff. Cool find
This is just an amazing collection , everything here you’ll never see again
That would be a Ford man's dream he could around in three for a whole week that was a lot of awesome stuff great video tbank you both Richard and Christina
You're welcome Dale.
Another great video and what a cool place! I work in a parts department and that place gave me OCD and I don't even have it! I'd hate to be the one to have to clean that place out.. Oh for useless info - the VW wheel looks like a 14" Bus wheel for the 1964 - 70 model years and the VW grille looked like it was for an 80 - 84 Jetta. Great scores too, love the green exit sign and the motorized sign, curious to see what it did!
You know your parts! Thanks for the info, Alan.
Those keys bring back a memory from my early teens. My mother had locked her keys i our 68 Oldsmobile. I went in the kitchen junk drawer and pulled out all the keys my father had kept over the years and found that the keys from our 54 Oldsmobile were a match for the 68 (I never told my parents how I managed to unlock it).
Great story. My Dad had a "universal" GM key that seemed to fit every GM car I tried it on.
I saw some star wheels like wagon wheels that look like a basset inertia wheel. They are a six hole wheel, top of the screen at 7:32. On the shelf there is a silver one, middle of the screen there is a white one. Those are cool.
Then those keystone wheels!!
U two were meant for each other ❤❤
We hung radiator hoses on those belt hangers with some clamps designed for the hoses.
Richard you Christina found another hord of car parts. Wonder what year they closed up. Unbelievable variety of Ford Parts. Just can let your imagination run wild. Thank you for the tour. Great video! 💯💕✝️👊👍
I received conflicting info as to when the dealership closed, but at least 20 years ago. Ford ordered it shut down, as is the case with many small-town dealers.
I love going on your Adventures with you both.
Thanks for another guys !
Amazing! It's almost good that I wasn't there, I'd have dropped a bundle. I'd love to have the Keystone Klassics for my '63 Falcon gasser project, but shipping to AZ would be more than the wheels.
Thanks for sharing! Looks like I'm going to have to make a trip to TN with my trailer and a pocket full of cash....lol.
Definitely! Appreciate you watching ❤
I love this kinda stuff.
That Fairmount sign would be a great gift for Josh at Sleeperdude Richard . The new colour now for exit signs are green . They no longer say exit they have a person walking. I’m thinking that they are trying to make a lot of signage International now. Thanks for showing us around the old dealership.👍👍🇨🇦
Right on, I picked up that sign for him. Glad you liked the video.
Thanks for making this video Richard!
If anyone has any questions, hit us up at that phone number or fill out the form on that website.
If you see something in the video you want - please mention the time stamp of the video where you saw it so we can help you find it!
Great video! Neat old stuff! Cheers! Hope you are doing well, Richard and Christina!😁🛠️🔧👍
Thank you Billy! We are good.
My first car was a 1979 Ford Fairmont. The plaque with the golden shovel looks like a groundbreaking momento. They may have added an addition in 1973 and had a groundbreaking ceremony.
That could be, since there were multiple buildings there.
Wow there are a lot of treasures there! Great video!
Good for you! For thinking about Sleeper Dude! You should contact him! He could utilize some parts from that dealer!
Your a class act for thinking about getting that sign for him!
Colorado
Thanks Anthony. I saw him on Power Tour and let him know about the place.
@whattherust Good Man! Remember, Rust NEVER Sleeps, so says uncle Neil Young. Stay safe.
Colorado
nice find guys-all the things you may be able to use or even hang around your shop!!
Right on.
Cool find of car parts
Wow I wanna get in that place I'm a Ford man that's a dream for me
It is worth the trip.
The molding was often a dealer installed option/add on.
I would LOVE to get my hands on some of those manuals and books !
Reach out to the contact in the video description. I don't think those are going to sell for much.
I saw the cooler almost a minute from the beginning. It's on the top shelf.
wicked fun! thanks for this
In the 90's and early 2000's, I worked in a Ford Parts Department. A lot of this obviously goes back further. My Dad went to work in a Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership in 1978 and went on with a Lincoln Mercury dealer from 1979-2000. Boy this stuff takes me back to my childhood! I could spend forever in this place!
That Super Cab pickup is either an 80 or 81. Those two years, FORD was spelled out on the hood with the grille without the Ford emblem. Also, the fender emblems are 80-81, as they changed the style in 82. 82 was also the first year with the Ford oval on the grille instead of the letters spelling out Ford on the hood. Someone replaced the grille with an 82-86. Another way to tell the year, is the location of the interior door lock. 80-81 had the slide lock, in 82. It was up by the window like most cars and trucks were.
Glad this brought back good memories, Tom. You are correct about the year of the extended cab truck. Another clue is the clear directional signal lens, which was changed to orange in mid 1981 (around there anyway). I have always preferred the hood with the FORD letters on it. Those interior door locks on the 80-81 are terrible. This was a big error in quality for Ford.
If someone buys this, they would have a gold mine of oem parts. Can't even imagine how all of this is worth and would take at least a year or more to inventory the parts.
Yeah it's a real treasure trove. Every day we sort through inventory we find more really cool stuff!
That's amazing; Someone needs to buy the entire contents and figure out what's there to really make some money.
Nice show sir good shop Nice Garage 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍😃😍
❤❤❤appreciate you watching.
LOL....Christina doesn't even give Richard time to answer one question befure she's asking another 🤣🤣
But, I get it... I'd be super excited too. 🤯
Very cool to see great walk around
Glad you liked it. This place is amazing.
those huricane rims were used on the GENERALLEE ON THE DUKES OF HAZZARD I HAVE 8 SETS OF THOSE RIMS .
8 sets😮 that's actually cool information about the Bo and Luke's car. Appreciate you sharing ❤
And then Keystone's those are sweet those are worth every penny of what they're asking
Rims are $25 each the ones in the service area are $35 each. What a deal! Appreciate you sharing your knowledge and watching ❤
Most all are made in America. Remember that folks. Like a snapshot in time before things got so insane. When you needed something it was decent quality and made here. Lots of memories. I used to go the Ford dealer for parts for my 66 Bronco and they'd put a film in the microfish on the parts counter and locate the part number. Wow, how I miss that America!!
Right, I miss that too. This is one of the reasons the parts in this dealership are valuable. All US made.
Lots of cool stuff... The patina (rust) boys would love to get their hands on that Ford 62?
Thx for bringing us along...
Glad you liked it, Gary.
Thanks!
Thank you very much Terry!
Insane richard that had to be exciting going thru there
It was! We love stuff like that. As always, we appreciate your continued support❤
@ 6:58, ET IV unilug aluminum slots. I had a set on my '71 Cougar. @ 12:13, the poverty caps are '64 Ford. Used on big Fords and Fairlanes and, I think, pickups too.
I love those ET slots.
Sleeper dude should be at that sale to he was just in New York State josh u need to get there
Oh I know. Did you see how excited Wa was? Priceless. Appreciate you watching ❤
Does black four lugs are called Hammers and they come in all different lug patterns and sizes they're aftermarket
Good to know. Thanks for the info on these wheels.
Nice find
Pintos had 13" wheels and also some Mustang II, 1974-1978. Maybe some Ford imports, too.
I know that it's not a realistic wish, but....
I truly wish that someone or some entity would purchase all the inventory, catalig it etc.
It saddens me deeply to think about all of those historical pieces of America's automotive history being destroyed. 😢
There is! Can you believe it? There's a number and email in the video description 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated ❤
Some treasures.
I have been to several old dealers that have been shut down for years and most stuff left behind is junk that could not be returned to the main warehouse and warrenty take off parts.
You have excess to a lot of classic treasures.👍
Everyone does😊 it's all for sale. Appreciate you watching ❤
The Dickel whiskey bottle looks like a bong 😵💫 LOL
😂😂😂
Brilliant
really enjoyed watching your video and its content
Thanks Gary❤ much appreciated
Hi y’all from west Alabama hugsss
Those three boxes have rare "Knuten Valves"
Yeah sleeperdude is Fairmont crazy the newest one he bought is cool but crazy looking also but it's actually a one of a kind car just because who built it and my goodness sleeperdude would go broke there hahaha
You know John, he's so fair on the prices you don't feel bad about buying more than one normally would. Appreciate you watching ❤❤
@christinarust6957 well that's good because a lot of people now days wouldn't be so fair they would be trying to get rich and well I don't see any point in doing that and it helps someone else out and of course I like watching your videos because honestly you can never tell what you two will be doing next
man i wish someone could find a boat load of Karmann Ghia parts haha
😅 ❤
Mustangs and Escorts probably still ran 13’s in the 80’s
Amazing. And to let it all go into a disorganized mess and not have it catalogued for future sale is so heartbreaking.
It would take an army of experts to get it all figured out.
I'm sure there's some obsolete Ford parts guys that are going to get in on that and cherry pick it. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it, Gary. There is a team cataloging everything. They are the ones running the web site listed in the comments.
@@whattherust that is refreshing!
And good to hear.
The golden shovel was probably presented at a ground breaking
You got it before "American Pickers"!
This reminds me of that abandoned auto parts dealer you did a video about a while back. What became of that place ? Did the owner sell it all ?
Sadly we were told last month the new owner couldn't wait any longer to start renovations and the remaining items were removed. Most of the items worth saving and still in usable found a home:-) Appreciate you watching ❤
Love videos like this very cool.
Thanks Dennis. Appreciate you watching ❤
Back in the day, dealerships actually were required to stock parts to facilitate repairs. No such thing as overnight shipping.
That's right. I remember when Airborne and FedEx got their start with overnight shipping, maybe the late 1980s?
Richard, The cluster you picked up at 12;57 is for a '68 Camaro
Wow, I would not have expected that in a Ford dealership! Thanks for the info.
Some of the old bias-ply tires in the trailer around 30:45 are probably desireable for somebody doing date-correct restoration. Even to put an original spare in the trunk of a nice car is cool.
I hope there's going to be some nos escort parts going up for sale on eBay soon after watching this!
All that NOS stuff is worth its weight in Gold on eBay!
The Keystone Classics are worth a lot of money. Especially to Mopar guys.
You can L👀k on the back of alot of factory wheels in the spokes of the wheel and theres a good chance it will have a manufacturer (ford/chevy etc.) Stamped on it.
Those hurricane style rins were early 80s ford econoline and truck rims and the slot wheels were probably freewheeling ford rims
That is great info. Thanks!
@sleeperdude would probably like some of those wheels
Richard, the two hubcaps at 12:05, I "believe" are 1964 Ford Galaxie, XL, or 500 hubcaps..
Thanks for the info Howard. I should have grabbed those.
Ford lover's paradise!
❤ yep
I can hardly see how this Treasure Hunt comes to an end. How will you walk out the door? And can you carry what you're taking?
My truck was packed full! You're right, it was tough to leave.
That ford truck looks like it had a 82 and up grill because the 1980 and 1981 had the no logo chrome grills with the ford letters stamped on the hoods
All those specially tools and parts is crazy they didn't sell them off when they closed.
The story I was told was that the owner was hurt badly (emotionally) by the forced closure from Ford. He held onto everything in the hopes of a future reopening that never came.
Do they have any front fenders for a 1955 Ford Fairlane I'm looking for some of those in the hood
12:08 those hubcaps are for a 64 Ford. I have those on my 4 door 64 galaxie.
Thanks for the info. Very cool.
You looking good Bro
Thanks! Feeling good too.
Those old wooden dollies would be cool to restore
@@adventureswithedna one of those was built just like what we used to use in cotton compress to move 500lb cotton bails.
It was still a FORD dealer in 2007 according to maps
The new owner bought it 2 years ago and said it had been sitting for 20 years. The 1998 news paper I found in the truck that was sold with the property makes me think possibly 20 plus years. That's my Columbo skills at work 😂 Appreciate you watching❤ Have a great week.
How does this even happen, what a find
This dealer was shut down by Ford. This happens fairly often to small-town dealerships.
Ford five lug with Large center holds fit Suzuki samurai and sidekick and geo tracker jeeps ! But center hold must. Be large
Good to know. Thanks for the info Victor.
I also saw a grinder in that shop. If you can't buy some of this can you give me the information so I can make arrangements to buy?
The contact info is in the video description.
Love too buy that 61 Chevy Impala bubble top 2 door ? 🙏🏿🙏🏿🤔
I don't know what that green cooler is doing there, but if you can get that for me I would appreciate it, and we can make arrangements to get it to me. Of course I will pay for it.
Can you tag the time in the video where you saw it? I can see if I can set it aside for you.
What about the bubble top and sky liners??
None of the cars are for sale.
Any ford Aerostar parts ? Looking for tail lights
Long time subscriber here. I’m interested in the Dickel Whiskey Bottle.
I thought someone might want that, particularly since the box is intact. Just reach out to the contact info in the video description. They will help you out. Thank you for your long-term support.
@@whattherustThank you! Peace to you both. ❤
Richard you and your wife should go back there and rearrange that plce😂😂😂.
Before I see it I'm guessing Cam shafts in the wooden box
If your going to look at NOS Ford parts learn to read part # first letter tells decade followed by number year then actual part for what it fits helps getting right part first time
