Thing with Finns is that despite them being conscripts, they still perform quite well in exercises. Only like a year ago US Marines tried landing on a beach defended by the Finnish conscripts and the Finns won.
Of course this doesn't mean that Finns are better than US Marines, as attacker always has the disadvantage, but it does mean that the default tactics won't work against the Finns.

This is the way my Finnish (and Swedish) brothers - along with our allies in NATO. Now we no longer have to be in this semi-reality of tip-toeing around each other's policies. Now the Scandinavian peninsula will be one integrated battlefield with 3 brother-nations and our shared friends being integrated into our defensive mission of deterrence.
On top of this - our friends are also on the eastern side of the Baltic. Now Nato has staging areas to the North - much closer to the West (without NATO needing to go around or over neutral airspace of Sweden, on top of staging areas to the south-west in case someone loses the plot and wants to bully our friends and neighbours.
I mean - we have already cross-trained for more than a decade. But a "united Scandinavia" within NATO is a game-changer that will affect the NATO QRF forces. Including that the NATO marines now can land in Sweden and drive across fast if the Baltics - instead of entering Norway and stage here during a critical situation (Like NATO is reinforcing everything except where the non-member friend is being attacked. If Finland and the Baltic seas are compromised - Norwegians are allies and can start shipping people and gear while Northern Norway is landing areas for marines with a quick roll over to Finland (and of course vice versa if the western flank of Norway is under distress).
Scandinavia is going to work as we were always supposed to do. And in fact - now we are big enough to buy more time for our allies to deploy. 150 gen 5 fighters, 200 gen 4 fighters, 3 nations of special forces, armoured and Naval capacities (before we even discuss our eastern and southern friends on the eastern side inside the Baltic or our friends of Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and the UK arriving first to our common Boreal and Arctic landscapes and cultures.
Suddenly we have 3-400,000 well-trained quick mobilization people "on-site".
And in case anyone wonders. Scandinavian armies have never been geared for invasion (since the last few hundred years). Nations being prepared to defend themselves is a zero threat to others. Norway habeenbeing funding father of NATO since 7 decades have for those 7 decades made it clear that we never were going to be a staging ground for an agression. Something Sweden and Finland will fully adopt.
A safe and happy neighbour is a peaceful and calm neighbour.

This is a bit confusing. Technically a very small part of Finland is part of the Scandinavian peninsula, but Finland is not considered part of Scandinavia, which consists of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The name of the Scandinavian Peninsula comes from the name of the area, consisting of those three countries, and not the other way around. To me more precise, the name comes from Scania or Skåne as it is called in Scandinavia, which is the southern part of Sweden, which was part of Denmark for hundreds of years, also at the time the area got the name of Scandinavia.

Not really, the Russians will just remove the grid square the sniper/s lying in with a non-stop 12 hour barrage of rocket and artillery fire. Its what they've been doing in Ukraine for about the last 2 months. You don't fight wars/battles in accordance with your opponents strength's, you fight them in accordance with yours. Furthermore, what would a Russian soldier be doing in Finland or a Finnish soldier be doing in Russia? Putin/Russia has zero interest in Finland or any other European state, he has clearly stated his war (SMO) aims and has stuck to them without deviation. Pray for the sake of all humanity that the above scenario never comes to pass, unless you really dig radiation or being vapourised.

Rifles (and other weapons) emit a laser(you can see the emitters in few shots) when they are fired and the bands on the helmet, and vest, tell you if you were hit and where, and were you wounded or killed. They can also simulate indirect fire.
After the exercise you can view who moved where, who was "killed" where and by whom. That can give good lessons especially for leaders when you can see what mistakes you made with positioning or movement and what you did well.
