My Man bows down and delivers death.
What a humble samurai.
bro got sniped... not cool.
They were in the show for like 2 minutes but they were some of the coolest characters. They all embodied duty, honor, and bravery
That three cut combo draw was 🤌🤌🤌
Yeah yeah. But that one shot to his throat right after 😂😂
@@GiangNguyen-ik4tc cowardly tactics. Bringing a bow to a sword fight.

Kiyama: "They are not ours to order"
Also Kiyama: "Lady Mariko must not be harmed!"
that was a reminder ..
Both are orders that they need to adhere to, that Mariko and the cohorts can't leave but Mariko should also not be harmed.
@@haroldcruz8550 "Quest objectives: ..."
Mariko "Miyai, would you please take charge"
Miyai "...Leroooooooooy Jennnnkiiiins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...."
Love that part
This Scene and Show was top tier 10/10 absolute fire
One of the most powerful scenes certainly. The indomitable spirit of her coupled with her grace and skill.
The regents looking in disbelief that Ishido would let this happen
Mariko walking towards the remaining guards and then slowly backing away. Love that scene.
those dam archers taking out the most badass samurai escorts.
That samurai with 3 cut combo is no actor. That guy just cut the persons finger to prevent him from drawing his sword. removing the blood from his swords, sheating it was just amazing
Taught Iaido for 10yrs ish. Yeah that opening cut is always meant to cut the fingers or wrist. Superb technique!
Honestly if that guy tells me that 'Mariko-sama leaves now.' after cutting down two soldiers no problem, then I'll better let Mariko-sama leave now.
Toranaga was a mastermind for this! He used everyone and every possible thing😂😂
Everybody talking about the amazing samurai with 3 slashes but I find Mariko's elegant but fierce fight much more captivating. That woman is a queen tier actress
Hosokawa Gracia, the real Japanese noble woman that Mariko portrays actually did die by ordering her servants to stab her through the door. Since, she’s a Christian, she couldn’t do a seppuku or die by her own hands.
And the servant who killed, a noble from the ogasawara clan, committed seppuku right after she died.
Actually it's not clear if It was her to order that or if it was her husband
@@carolinagaggero5806It seems that the order was from her husband but Garasha did not resist it.
Such display of honorable bravery and loyalty to duty is simply astounding. They embrace death as the utmost fulfilment of their duty. Those archers are a holes though. They killed the 3 slash samurai without a fight. 😢
If only the armoured fighters' breastplates covered juuuuust a bit more of the collar 😅
the archers are pretty good too !
Guy at 2:28 is like the living embodiment of the chad Yari Ashigaru unit from Shogun 2
yari wall undefeated
The way Anna was welding the naginata was quite impressive 😮
That's what happens when you forget to put technology points into shields Japan
The Japanese favoured mobility over protection. When you are being showered by mongol arrows or shot at by muskets and cannons, a burdensome shield will only make you easier to kill.
@@Ixtzalit the mongol part is actually wrong, they didn’t have shields because they believed in honor and the katana is a two handed weapon along with the bows and spears they used. When they ran into the mongols they were seriously outmatched because they didn’t have shields. If it wasn’t for the storm that destroyed the Mongol fleet they would have been destroyed.
@@SunDogGod Honor has nothing to do with it but rather because of the style of their warfare., Samurai's primary weapon is either a yari or yumi both are wielded using two hand hence little room for a shield.
Show is 🔥🔥🔥.. this scene man.. intense!
I wish Netflix had this mini-series.
This scene kind of reminds me of the shootout in s4 Barry finale with how a standoff suddenly devolves into complete chaos with death all around.
This scene exemplifies bushido
Bushido was a myth

I'm flashing back to The Life of Brian.
This scene is so anime
Gotta run Ghost of Tsushima again then...but this series is 🔥

Why did you chop this up so much?
He's avoiding copyright infringement claims by doing that. He did it to avoid having the video taken down.
They really shot the only good samurai in the lot firsthand
These are like my characters in kenshi.
Death before dishonor, Bushido at its finest!!
When a gamer girl enters the lobby
A shameful dispray.
The only reason I watched the show thus far was the armored samurai scene...
If only archer doesn't exist, they have a chance 💯, or kill more, but not a chance leaving osaka for sure 😂😂😂
Castle of Osaka is huge and like a maze. Just google its layout. Even Chuck Norris cannot escape there.
They are heavily outnumbered, all of them knew that they are not going anywhere. The attempt is more of a political stunt, Mariko did it to show that they are being held as hostages.
The stumble after getting shot in the neck always reminds me of ue4 muscle animation. when you shoot a model in neck basically.
Funny part is that by this point historically bows went completely out of use except for hunting and such. Original book’s author really did not know the technological part of history well. These were wars where teppu/gun and spears plus armor ruled. This been going on for a while.. while invasion of Korea samurai used guns only, but bow was abandoned even before that.
However the scene in the book is better. There her guards fight the opponents 1on1 till none of them are left then she tries to get herself killed but fails without wounding anyone.
WHY?! Why would you change almost every detail from the book? Why change uniform colors, number of men, weapons used, sequences ... almost every detail that made this one of the most memorable parts of the book?!
Wasn’t Killing a samurai by arrow considered to be a coward action?
No. Archery was very well respected in Japan. In the West it's considered cowardly.
No.
@@fredfry5100 sounds about right, it was just something I heard.
In this situation probably was. Not like the archer was in any imminent danger.
The bow (yumi) along with the spear (yari) were the primary weapons of the samurai. The katana was considered a secondary weapon. '@fredfry5100', apparently you don't read history, the bow was widely used in both east and west so it would not be considered a cowards weapon.
Stupidest scene ever. She can barely walk in those sandals but can hold a heavy staff, swung it around, and fought.
You’re a really unhappy person. It’s called suspension of disbelief.
She can walk. It is how ladies were taught to walk at that time. Small, delicate feet were prized. Large feet and large strides were not considered beautiful or fashionable.
That was the women's fashion to walk in a kimono. Body straight up and taking small steps so you look like gliding instead of walking. But that doesn't mean she cannot fight. Mariko belonged to a noble family who plotted and killed Oda Nobunaga in real history. Unlike peasants noble women were taught to defend themselves. And btw its not a staff, it is a naginata, a weapon of choice by samurai. If you still have any doubts, search this in youtube: Yoshin-ryu Naginata-jutsu - Japanese Kobudo Demonstration
@@aquilifergroup you're triggered much.
