    That weight is just very very good. Tools and motors weighting only that is very impressive. Also the bike looks really sweet. Congratulations Gary.

      Hey Jun, this is Gary, I needed a bike like this to keep up with Bart when he does a 20 mph social ride on his gravel bike. But I also like how easy it is to put on my bike rack, and I feel a lot better after the rides as I don't have to push myself so hard.

      TheBicycleRider A social ride of 20mph? Hahaha man I’m going to start looking at those bikes too.
      I will socialize with you, forget about Bart ha.
      Bart is just a beast.

      Hey, I'm Gary and that's my personal bike. I needed that bike to try to keep up with Bart. I'm also the camera guy for these videos.

    Secret weapon for Shure! It is very stealthy and Gary is enjoying the sneak attack on us .

      Haha that is awesome. Electric bikes are awesome. I think they also make you push harder when you ride with them just to experiment that part of man vs machine.

      @@junboo8730 , I love your comment. It hits home. Short story. after a long day and the bike shop yesterday it was my mom's birthday. I was kind of tired and almost drove my van to her house for a little birthday cake. I decided instead to get on the e-bike. After a block of feeling the speed that this bike was pulling me I decided to stand up and hammer! It was very thrilling and definitely woke my brain back up. I ended up hammering all the way to her house as fast as that e-bike would go The streets were empty and it was in my own personal race track. I did the same on the way home for my mom's house by the time I reached my house my legs were screaming so if people say you can't get fitness on a e-bike maybe they're just not riding fast enough!

      TheBicycleRider Awesome real story. Haha Bart I think that if you are in a motorcycle you will be searching for the pedals to make it go faster.
      You motivate people without knowing it. Awesome stuff.

    Hi, how does it behave when the battery will die? Is cycling movement more problematic due to integration with electric "engine" ?

    • @joonlee920
      @joonlee920 Před 2 lety +2

      When the motor is turned off, there is no resistance that I can feel; the bike rides like a slightly heavier gravel bike. It's an awesome bike that I use for exploring.

    Ya'll should check out the 21 turbo vado sl. It is a flat bar creo . Same motor, frame, battery, geo etc. Just in aluminum. 3300 bucks

      @@rasmusbj no dought the vado sl has a 2 degree slacker head angle, makes it way better off road, 500 mi. So far its a killer ride, ive put on bigger tires, and it is a perfect gravel bike that just happens to be electric

    Hello there , thank you for this great video 👍🏻! Does this saddle work like a suspension during riding? I am really interested in that wonderful bike

    • @TheBicycleRider
      @TheBicycleRider  Před 3 lety

      The saddle doesn't give you much suspension, but I think the gravel tires help a lot. Also, the Future Shock on the front works great.

    What are the battery storage watts and NM output? What’s the range time/distance/power setting?

    • @TheBicycleRider
      @TheBicycleRider  Před 3 lety +1

      The battery in the down tube is 320Wh, and the motor is 240 watts. It doesn't have a lot of torque. The assistants that it provides is very smooth. You don't feel a jerk when the motor kicks in. There is no throttle, so its a lot like ridding a regular bike in many ways. It give me just enough boost to ride with faster riders, and it extends my range a good bit too. I'm about 270 lbs and I've had a few knee surgeries etc. I get about 40 miles on the built in battery, and another 20 from the battery extender. The power level is very adjustable from a phone app, so you can preprogram before a ride, and then you can choose between 3 levels from the controls on the bike. I turn it up and down during the ride depending on who I'm riding with, and how I'm feeling. The bike is light enough for any bike carrier. For me it's been a great bike.

    • @TheBicycleRider

      Its the Topeak Aero Wedge Velcro Pack. I got the large size for $19.25 from Amazon
      www.amazon.com/Topeak-TC2261B-Wedge-Strap-Medium/dp/B000FIE45O/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?dchild=1&keywords=AERO%2BWEDGE%2BPACK%2BModel%2BTC2262B&qid=1585861973&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-1-fkmr1&th=1&psc=1
      It's just the right size for me, and it's easy to access on and off the bike rack.
      I usually carry a spare tube, tire tools, tube patches, multi-tool, wallet, cell phone, and I have a little room left over.
