Hello, I plan on buying a new laptop soon and I am not going to be using it for very demanding games or anything like that. I'm mostly going to use it for work and a bit of gaming here and there, but I'm facing a dilemma regarding which laptop to buy. My two choices are this Alienware, the x16r2, or the Legion Pro 5i. Which one do you think would be best?
I love the Alienware X16 R2. It's been a really consistent gaming machine for me. Lenovo's good too, but their pre-installed software out of the box can be quite annoying. The design of the Alienware is also very cool compared to the Legion.
Hello. Great video. I need a little help. I need a recomendation for laptop (because I travel a lot) to can use AutoCad (2018-2020) for interior design working drawings and 3DsMax for modeling and rendering. Is a laptop with the following specs or simmilar will do the job : Inlel Core i9-14900HX - 24-Core (2.2 GHz up to 5.8 GHz, 36 MB Cache, 55 W) - RAM : 32 GB (2x16) DDR5 - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, GDDR6 - 8GB ? Lenovo Legions are great options, HP Omen 16 is also good, however, if you are looking for those specific specs, actually Alienware or Razer have this options in their websites
Great vid! Did u encounter overheating when using the laptop closed on a stand? I have an x14 r1 and using the laptop closed causes throttling immediately
Nope! Was playing cyberpunk for 2 hours and sustained 140 frames. God Of War 120 frames for a few hours straight. Even Warzone I was able to play for hours and I was getting realllly good frames. Just make sure performance mode is enabled and it’s good. Fans will just get a bit loud but not too loud.

U r not supposed to close the lid on top for all gaming laptops. There is an air in take vent at the top of it. U r making it hotter
I need help choosing a laptop between Alienware x16 r2 rtx4090 or rog zephyrus g16 rtx4090 I know the major difference is the oled screen but idk which one I should go for can you help me choose as if it was for yourself
If you want the best performance go for Alienware. If you want portability, great for creative work and want OLED. The G16 is awesome for that. 4090 on G16 isn’t bad. But 4090 on the Alienware is 2-3X better.

Between Legion 7i, G14, g16 and this Alienware which one would you recomend ?
So... I think best bang for the buck performance wise goes to the Legion 7i (with their always on and off discounts), but if that's not available, I'd go for the G16. It's still powerful but you get OLED and the best speaker in any gaming laptop in that category. I do love the Alienware as a desktop replacement though. I use it til this day as my gaming PC.
One question I have is, if a 14.2 inch laptop big enough for my 12 year old? (I’m thinking about purchasing the M3 MackBook Pro 18gb 512gb for him)

If you prioritize gaming and want really good graphics and frames, get this one. If you care about thin and light form factor but can still game, the G14/G16 is best.
Quick question, what’s the longest you can have the RGB touch pad on in the Alienware command center? Only a few seconds breaks my heart because I love RGB 😢
Yeah it seems like it’s only a few seconds. Can’t seem to find a setting to have it on all the time. Will ask my contact at Alienware if there’s a way

Oh yeah definitely! 4090 on G16 has lower TGP so performance isn’t as good. It’s decent but it’s not bad. This is just a beast for a Core Ultra 9 laptop.

This laptop looks cool but ur right, this shouldn't be $3k lol - I got the Legion Pro 7i for around $2300 and I can game and make music and edit photos but battery life is terrible lol
Every gaming laptop's battery life is terrible though haha.
How's battery considering the core ultra
