- Here's a pretty cool build we did on this Silverado using a On3 Performance Hot and cold side kit. Also using a VS Racing Gen2 78/75 110AR Turbocharger, Tial MVR Wastegate, Tial 50mm Blow-Off Valve. We did a Custom 3.5in Custom Exhaust. Truck is on a STOCK Fuel system as well!

What engine is in it? That wasn’t the 5.3 V8 out of the 2017s?
Did you have to add a tiap to get it to tune right or were you able to adjust the torque tables to get it to run right?

I have a 2017 2500 6.0. What would you recommend for transmission upgrades if I done this same setup. I've done the pricing and the researching for this kit. Plus I pull a trailer for work and drive highway alot. Planning on doing a small btr cam and heads also. My truck has 4.10 gears too.

Hows the factory exhaust hookup to the turbo kit?
Unfortunately the stock exhaust won’t hook up to the kit. You’ll have to get a custom cat back or buy one.
How was the install? All the parts come? Did you have to make any modifications?
Seeing as how it’s a on3 kit it probably required a little bit of modification to make it fit
trans is huge on this setup. I killed mine. now circle d stage 3 billet upgrade. I have the BMF turbo and more boost but fuel is issue.
how did your tranny die ? how did you fix it ? is there anything to prevent it from blowing ?
@@4-matic212 slipping and burned up fluid. Bypassed thermostat all together and radiator lines. AC line and derale trans cooler with fan. And tuned the trans many times.

What year did GM go to the 8 speed from the 6 speed? This truck needs a cam with a larger fuel lobe.

17 6.2 has 8 speed
My 17 5.3 has the 8 speed
2016 was the first year option for the 8 speed. Thing tows awesome for a 5.3

We’re using HP tuners for tuning.
So stock motor , stock transmission can handle it ?
trans will wear faster for sure.
not sure about the ecotecs but the 5.3 vortecs would hold together for a long time close to 15 pounds of boost make 6 or 700 hp

Install its right about $1500 and tune I’m really not sure about that. That’s something the tuner will charge.
Is that truck using Amsoil with the build? And did you still use the OEM recommended oil viscosity did you up it to a 0w30 or something?

if it's that new a tune might not give you much as those newer 4.3 actually make decent power.
Tune might give you another 5 to 10 hp if your lucky but I'm also not a tuner so who knows
