Hell yeah good shit. Keep the videos rolling. The CalTracs are easy bolt on and they do help a lot. I done a couple sets here and there and I know a few cars making decent rwhp and hooking with them.

I think the benefits of direct injection out weigh the cost of doing a major upgrade to the fuel system. Because the Direct injection system is there, they are able to step up compression from 9.5:1 on the older LS engines to a more impressive 11.5:1 which in turn gives you more power and its easier to make more power under boost. You could always do away with the Direct injection and run adapters to throw whichever LS intake you want with traditional fuel injectors.
How can I do this to my 17?
for high boost motors you want lower compression, for NA power you want high compression

What do you think about speed engineering twin turbo kit that they have available for that year make n model .. I have 15 silverado crew cab I seen the on3 all over but I wanted to go twin . In the kit there precision turbos
Get an extra injector controller and add some injector bungs on the charger pipe before the throttle body to add more fuel. Cheaper way to add fuel. Been around a long time

i just did the same to my 16 but i added a l86 manifold, acv and injectors and am running an open down pipe from the sounds of the power you guys made with stock injectors and intake i think i should make 6+ on about 10lbs easy
Yes you can for sure. We just didn't have enough fuel system. You should have a bad ass truck.

It's all stock right now. You should be ok as long as probably maintained

what sort of ECU tuning, if any is required? does someone sell a canned tune for this setup? A buddy of mine wants to turbo his 2015 L83 truck but doesnt want to upgrade his fueling system if he doesn't have too.
On low boost you don't have to upgrade much. But you will need tuning. What most gm cars are tuned with is Hp tuners.
If you want to be considered one of the fastest cars in the country then you gotta go to HPP
Just watch a street outlaws show or a no prep racing event then you’ll see a bunch of cars HPP is has had their hands on

Also, does it have to go on the dyno or is there a like a tuner chip thingy to download to the truck to make everything work properly? Should work alright. Maybe a pipe cut or so. Tuning would be exactly the same

How would this run on a lifted 7-9 inch 5.3 Silverado ? I have a 2018 with 35’s and 24x14’s, would this work without needing any internal work with transmission etc?
I think it would run great. We haven't done trans work to the few we have done. But the big tires itself are hard on the trans. Add a turbo might not do anything but if you beat on it alot it could.
Heavy wheels and big tires with presumably stock gears in the diffs are very hard on the trans. Adding a lot more power via a turbo and the trans will hate its life even more. I suggest changing the gears in the diffs first, which will help a lot with getting that stock horsepower to the ground. When properly geared it’ll get the truck moving a lot easier so the trans will be happier. Then add the turbo and run it till the trans pukes.😂
you shouldn’t have lifted your truck and put it an expensive ass wheels in the first place if you couldn’t afford to properly re hear your truck or put a nice trans in it lol

Nah! We send you a complete kit. Now, if you try and make big power you will have to upgrade a few things

If you keep them under 800 hp they do pretty well. Of course with a good fuel system.
I have a 2018 Silverado single cab 5.3 and plan on doing this myself. Is it true bolt on? if not what do I need to buy?
It's pretty complete and pretty much bolt on. Now, when you do the downpipe to exhaust. You may need some fab. If you stick with stock exhaust it may work just fine. Nothing a muffler shop can't handle. I can find out with my tech tomorrow if you would like. To give a better idea.

I know this is an oddball question because labor can vary greatly depending on the install and tuning, etc, but what is the labor on a kit like this with the Caltracs and tuning?
I called and they told me roughly $9-$10k when the kit is $2700

@@obieworley4396 depending on what you have already and need the kit is around $2,500 or more from ON3. The kit for an 07-13 Silverado isn't even available right now as far as I know. I got the complete base kit with the 70mm turbo, 55lb injectors and single 320LPH E-85 safe fuel pump plus the return fuel system, manual boost controller, vaccum block, fuel pressure regulator and all the hot/cold side piping with the intercooler for $2,300 used, but it only had around 8k miles on the kit so it was well worth it. Saved me nearly $2k. Lol.

Not yet. He wants to run low boost for now. When he turns it up he will probably build the engine.

The engine could handle 800 easy with the right fuel system.
They have 70mm turbo all the way to a 91mm. Just depends on the power level your looking for.

How will this kit handle with towing?
We have a couple customers who tow with them. They said" it pulls way better" but they only tow in low boost.

How is fuel mileage after the turbo? I have a 15 and need this lol
If you daily it and drive very easy it’ll actually help a little with mpgs. Not alot but you could see like a 2-4 mpg increase. But you won’t. You’ll not be able to keep your foot out of it from all the power lol.
Direct injection has been around since 1916 because is makes more power through better atomization, with the added benefit of fuel savings. It was relegated to areo, race, diesel, and high end street engines because of its high component cost. Because manufacturing is more precise now, and emissions and fuel efficiency are important, we now have DI. Cost and complexity suck, but its cheap performance.

lmao if you drive a clapped out truck like that and can’t even afford an ls swap then you definitely can’t afford a proper turbo kit or even a proper fuel system and tune… not to mention your little v6 won’t take boost for crap and even if it did a bolt on v8 truck would walk you

The base kit is not expensive, we have them on our website. They're about 2.5k, I put the link in the description if you want to check it out. You can upgrade to the 76/75 BMF Turbo which is +$599 if you were trying to chase bigger numbers

How much would the kit and installation average cost?
i have them same kit... kit itself is 2400+ depending on upgrades and you can add probably another 1400-2000 on top of that for injectors, new intake, gauges etc.
If you buy it all through us we usually knock off a few hrs of installing price

The kit is great just a few little modifications. Its pretty much bolt on . It will need tuning afterwards though. I really don't know many shops out there. Now I, 've had people ship cars here thru UShip at pretty reasonable prices. Sorry i wish knew someone to send you to.

@@HPPRACING I just finished a 2016 tahoe with the l83 with a 76 mm turbo and need some tuning I also went ahead and deleted the on demand active fuel lifters. Do you know where I can get this animal tuned I have HP tuners pro dealer level SCT Drive advantage 3 and easy Link and a few others I do a lot of tuning for diesels but this one here is been a pain in the ass

That's what they told us to do for the install. We we're wondering but the manufacturer told us That's part of the install. So far, we've done a few and no issues. If any issues though i will take care of the customer. And definitely update y'all

Yes sir! You can run more power with the stock motor as well. But you would have to run e85 and upgrade the fuel system.

So far no! He's on 10 psi. Hasn't pushed it hard until he gets a fuel system

🆕️Great video but I still don't understand why people go through such lengths and trouble to make a big heavy slow truck only a little bit faster when you can spend the same money and get a used Corvette only a few years old and beat the hell out of that truck.
