Wheels and tires have got to be the number 1 mod on my list. It makes any truck look so much better
I agree.... speaking of, what wheels and tires are on this truck?
I just bought an old Chevrolet Avalanche 2004. And I have a lot to do! I hope that Silverado 2014 will be my next! Good luck with everything! Greetings from Russia!
One of the best videos you all have done for the GM trucks, keep it up!
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Keep these videos on the 14+ Silveradoâs coming!
We absolutely will! Thanks for watching! -Zach
Agreed! Your product reviews are really helpful, theyâve helped me out a ton already. Already ordered some stuff for my 2015 Iâve only had 5 days
@@AmericanTrucksChevyGMC what size/brand lift and what size/brand of wheels does that truck have?
@@AmericanTrucksChevyGMC what are some upgrades for a 2018 4.3 V6 Silverado?
I like the lights.
The taillights are fine unless you have stock led like I did on my 2017 and I have still yet to find a aftermarket set that will work
Really need an install video for those running boards.
Lol
Why?
What about jump seat to console swap. I want to put a console in my 2013 2500HD but I want the newer style ones like 2014/2015 etc. vs the 2013 console. Is this possible?
new sub have a 2017 lt 5.3 lookinf for led taillights and blacked out headlight cover and fog cover
What lift kit is on this truck? Specs on wheels and tires as well?! Itâs perfect.
Hey there thanks for these upgrade tips. I have a 2017 GMC Sierra SLT too, but I find the stock backup lights are too dim to see anything when I back up in the dark. I have a long driveway that is hard to navigate at night, so I need brighter lights to avoid hitting anything. Do you have any suggestions on what kind of upgrade lights? I've tried brighter LEDs but still not great. I'm certain GM doesn't hold a monopoly on this problem because I have a Toyota with the same problem. Thanks in advance.
Nice! Thanks man. What about fender flares?
Gotta be careful with flares, truck has to be clean dry and dirt free.
One mistake and fenders will rust
What Iâm going to do to mine is a husky floor mats,a bed cover, led head lights, blacked out led tail lights, bullet antenna, trailer hitch, bull bar,and black rims with wheels Iâm going for a full black out
Hell yeah brother!
Those tail lights look sharp. I just got a â16 Silverado last year and Iâm loving it. The first couple of things I did was under seat storage rain guards on the windows and a bed cover. Next Iâm looking into tinting the windows and the cold air intake.
Howâs it going so far?
How it goin m8
Life got in the way so havenât done the tint or cold air intake yet but just got a new job that pays more so hopefully soon on both
Well hows the job going man đ
2014 bolt ons and tuner videos plz đ€€
Will those axial smoked tail lights fight on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500?
Cool video
Thanks a lot for watching! -Zach
Nice video and sweet truck. Is that lifted or leveled? Wondering about tire and tire package also. Sizes?
The truck in this video is clean and not over the top. Very clean appearance, blinds in with the truck, and itâs simple.
Thanks for the kind words, Bobby! We appreciate it! -Zach
@@AmericanTrucksChevyGMC I literally want to send you mine and have you make it identical hahaha
With the air box why would I need a K& N cold air filter upgrade? Please educate me. Thanks.
Buyer Beware! I bought a pair of mirrors from American Trucks for my F150. After just a couple of months they no longer locked in place and I had to constantly open my window and push them back into place. Very dangerous. American Trucks said that they only have a 30-day warranty. When I expressed my displeasure, they offered me a $27 credit. Wow. I had spent over $1400 there this year. I told them to keep their $27.
In the future, you should check out boost auto parts. I've had their tow mirrors for over a year now and they have held up great. I've put them through it, off roading, going the speed limit ;) and through multiple car washes where the machine has banged them up or bent them backwards. They've never went out of place. Some mild shaking from what i heard if you're going over 100 mph, but I'd definitely recommend checking those out.
I second this. I've had the Boost tow mirrors for four years. I added every option except the electric motors & second mirror heater. No issues.
I bought a set of those led tail lights. I live in the Salt belt after 1 year, and 1 winter season tail lights failed due to the salt sorting out the resistors that are installed in a bad location on the tail lights them self. So redesign is a must, or a company needs to make an item that will close the gap behind the taillights.
I noticed that last night on my 2018 when I had a taillight out, nice big holes back there for the rear tires to throw everything at the back of the lights.
i would love some advice on new tires and rims for my 2015 silver.
I just went from stock size to a 20â wheel on my â14. Got my wheels on custom offsets website
Is this a leveling kit? Or a lift? And what size is this? This is a perfect height..?
Should be mentioned the catch can should be checked much more often If in sub zero temps
I've got a 17 Silverado 1500 lt. I also had the windows tinted, front floor mat, inchannel window vents, hood visor, new exhaust system, and a magnuson supercharger. Oh and my Winston brush gaurd. I might have to do a video of it.
Yes
As far as Iâve seen they donât make the oil separator for the 4.3L model Silverado.
Where did you get the canister at for the oil
Fantastic
im glad a got a 2018 Z71 with the color-matched front/rear. Chrome is not this trucks friend lmao.
Also, I feel that a CAI is not going to do a thing over stock (besides noise) without a tune.
I just bought a 2017 with the 5.3 and I want to turn off the cylinder deactivation.
What tires and rims you have on??
I hear so much back & forth about cold air intakes not being necessary, not being worth it, etc etc, woudl love to see some tests showing it's truly a step up. And woudl it matter on 6cyl 4.3 or 8cyl or, both?
Modern vehicles come from the factory with âcold air intakesâ. Companies that claim a hp increase after installing their intake are tuning the ecu to get said increase in hp. Doesnât make sense for the average consumer to spend close to $1000 for 10 hp
@@kylebradley7751 HP, no, but what about gas mileage?
@Aiming Wanderously I have a silverado a will not be putting a Cai. I had one on my tundra abs it made zero difference. It sounded cool and maybe increased throttle response but nothing other than that. Just my opinion
I put the JLT catch can on my 2017 Silverado LTZ 5.3. I was amazed at the oil/residue it catches. I can't believe that these direct injection engines are dumping that garbage back into the motor.
Iâve had the same reaction on any vehicle I put a catch can on lol, makes me wanna get a rebuild
@@lolsk9136 Direct injection and turbos are for the birds. Bring back the Vortec.
It's why I always say its an "all pros, no cons" kind of mod. It's easy, and it works. -Adam
You guys gotta do an AFM delete. It's the active fuel management system cutting your truck down to 4 cylinders. What they don't tell you is that while the AFM is active it is still vacuuming in the 4 dead cylinders and pulling oil and burning it. This contributes to the oil usage on your truck and frankly I didn't see any changes in milage. If anything it got better! Highly recommend đ A hell of a lot smoother to drive too
@@bradyanderson6840 If you have a 6-speed, you can set the gear to 5 in the manual mode and it won't go into 4 cylinders. I also bought the Range Tech and that works for about $200.
How many inches is that lift kit I want my truck like that
What was the brand on tail light?
First thing I usually do is remove the running boards..
That's exactly the first thing I did. Took them off and sold them And debadged my truck.
HAHAHA me too! Good call. I would only keep if the truck is too lifted.
What size lift and tires are on this truck
I just got 2018 LT 5.3 does anyone know what kind of cold air intake would be best ? Or would it best to leave it stock since thatâs whatâs itâs designed for ?
Its best to leave it stock unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. Most factory intakes now are "cold air intakes" and any claims you see from aftermarket ones are including a edu tune as well to get whatever they claim. Spending over 1k for an aftermarket one and a tune to make like 15 hp is not worth it.
Ainât not a damn thing cold about that intake buddy at-all đ
Is this truck tungsten metallic? Looks really good
I bought a 2018 silverado 1500 ext. cab LT about 3-4 months ago, I have the same color its called "Havana Brown" its sharp.

Can anyone recommend a lift that requires no permanent modification to a truck like no cutting or trimming of frame or anything and whatâs the highest I could go if I went the route of no cutting? For a gmc 1500 2018 rwd
Donât lift it if itâs 2WD SORRY NOT. SORRY
Depends on what kind terrain you plan on truck on. If itâs a street only truck you could get maybe 4-6 in if the kit doesnât cause you to move the drive shaft angle. If itâs desert style I would go with dirt king UCA and king shocks or fox 2.5 . Which will give you a 3 in Lift but more travel and a better ride. And you could add a 3-4 spindle with the uca arms the list goes only depends and what youâre willing to spend
Go with a leveling kit it's a cheaper start
Generally speaking, you can find good lift kits up to about 3.5-4" that won't require cutting/permanent mods to the truck. When you start seeing kits that include differential drop brackets, crossmember, and relocation brackets of other kinds, then you'll start grinding and cutting components. Rough Country, ReadyLift and other have really nice lift kits that don't require cutting things up! 2WD truck are a little tricky, definitely less to choose from in the aftermarket, but generally you can find some good kits! Hope this helps. - Adam
@@jesusruiz3723 Dumbest comment ever. Congrats. Of course you can lift a 2WD truck.
Question could you easily swap a 4.3 for a 5.3? Is there a difference on transmission
Just sell your 4.3 and buy a 5.3
Easily? Just the fact that you're asking that question on CZcams- the answer would be no.
Can this fit the z71?

I just bought a 2017 chevrolet silverado ltz 2lz midnight edition and I put it on the freeway I pushed it to the limit and it top out at 99 mph have you done any videos on that and how to get more from my silverado thanks in advance
Possibly has a governor installed to limit max MPH, you should be able to get over 110 easily with the 5.3l
Sorry reading old comments but thatâs 100% governorâŠSilverado could probably do 120 without it
What kind of lift kit does the truck have!!!
QUE PASA ADAM!!
i think toolboxes are pretty easy to install and should be equivalent to the tonneau cover
Does the tail light replacement bring down the value of the truck should you wanna resell it

I have a question I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 lifted and I do not see a splash shield for the engine underneath it everything is exposed once you lifted the truck did you use an aftermarket Splash Shields?
@E. Tamplin It's the Z71 4wd it has a 6" fabtech lift I figured it would have came with the plates but there is nothing everything is exposed

Hi
How many inches on the silverado?
6" lift with 33" tires! -Zach
i have a 2015 silverado, but itâs a v6, do you recommend lifting it?
I am also curious about this. I have heard that life kits can place undo stress on components because the angles are steeper.
i say do what u want.
@@nathangoddard8115 I drove a 98 with a v6 with 3 inch lift in the back and 3 inch torsion bar keys up front and never had any issues
You probably have the answer by now, but I also have the 6 cylinder in my 2017. I put a 2.5 lift on front and a 2 inch lift on back. It will stress your front axles so you do have to install a front diff relocation block as well. But it is super easy to do. Also installed lt275/65r20 Nitto G2. No noticeable ride disturbance.

Expand your vehicle selections. 2020 GMC Canyon specifically. Honestly surprised you have the Ranger but not the Colorado on there. Colorado is a lot more popular and the newer models have been out longer.
Mod number one should be disabling the motor destroying tech called cylinder deactivation. Its been what 15 years since this garbage was introduced manufacturers STILL can't make a system that doesn't end up blowing up the motor. It doesn't matter if it's GM, FCA, or Honda they all fail eventually and either require a new head or a completely new engine
Shhhh..... I make a lot of money off of fixing these issues.
45 mins to install taillights?
I think they forgot mention that's after drinking a 2-4.
Why does the front of the truck sit higher than the rear? Look bad.
Anybody notice no step on passenger side đ
