I have a 2009 Silverado 5.3 V8...notice this shudder while driving, I guess it is under light acceleration...but also a small knocking sound in the engine for a little bit when I first start it and drive it. Would this gizmo be for both of those issues or could the knocking sound be unrelated? Thank you.

My Silverado is a 2009 5.3 V8...when I first start it and drive it for 30 seconds or so I hear a little knocking sound in the engine. Then sometimes while driving it'll just kind of shudder, like something startled it. Is that the kind of thing this device is intended to fix? Really don't want to go to the dealership and just have them start trial and error going everything if I can avoid it. Thanks.

I want to like the GMC but it seems really busy. I lean toward the Ford because it resembles classic and modern features. Toyota is too foreign looking and dodge is dated which I can appreciate. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
