Man that thing is really coming along. You know what my buddy does with his aftermarket camera, he wraps a piece of red reflective tape around his hitch receiver it really pops on the camera and keeps him from backing up too far. Also, maybe it's time to reach out to a glove sponsor. Looks cold AF there.

Biggest complaint I have on the backup cam on my ZR2 is it accumulating water when it rains and I can't see a damn thing behind me when backing up! Love the content look forward to more!
I agree. I think people on the fb group and forums looked into upgrading ours, but deemed it almost impossible.

@@matt13ross i do think they should've come like that from the factory too since the current screens are a bit on the small side. this one is probably just as big as the ones in the ram 1500's and everyone love's how big they are since you can do split screen settings but it's a good thing they have aftermarket parts to add a bigger screen and a better hd backup camera.

my back up camera on my 2018 silverado just started glitching out. so this is great timing. i'd love to be able to turn it on while driving with a push button to check my trailer hitch or small load etc...
That would be helpful, not sure how to make that happen though.
Awesome videos! I didn't read to far down or hear you say, but I think if you were to reconnect that white wire you cut by the camera, you would get the lines back. Not sure, just a suggestion.
I'm going to try that, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I think I'll get the lines back, but they won't move with my steering wheel.
It’s wierd that my 15 sierra sle double cab came with factory bed lights mines the trim right above base model. 😂

I've got a 2017 high country with the pepperdust color. Never understood why they would put a plane ole black talegate handle on it. I'm still looking for one painted I can buy. So far it's looking like I'm just gonna have to get mine painted to match.

Hey Matt, do you have audio issues with your head unit??? Mine when I start my truck acts like my phone is connected but then I have to switch to fm/sirius to switch back to bluetooth for my phone to play music. I have a feeling its due to wireless carplay/bluetooth to the headunit and using bluetooth to the gm module. Anyone have a similar situation or fix for this?

I bought an additional OEM harness that connects them. I don't have the link saved though.

Just cut and splice with butt connectors.

I think you should not have cut the white wire from the camera and then you would have the guide lines. I think the instructions to cut the white wire pertains to a factory radio and not an aftermarket radio
In a newer video I have it all working like stock.

I just spliced them in with heat shrink butt connectors.
