It’s hard to say I love you to people. Everyone just throws it around but they don’t understand the hardships you go through. The tugs on your heart and knives that chop up your heart and you just can’t let them go. A piece of me is with them I can’t ever let them go. People don’t understand that because once I say out loud that I love you I’ve made a commitment to protect you and that’s scary. It’s scary that I’ll be vulnerable because when I say I love you I mean it with every ounce in me.

Wow, this one is so relatable to me. Especially the Barney Stinson part.
I knew I loved her over 4 years ago, but I truly realized it last week. She was walking down a church aisle at a funeral and she was all I cared about, all I remembered from the whole service, watching her walk in all I wanted to do was sit and feel through her pain with her, make sure she was okay, I couldn't breathe cause she took my breath with her. When I hugged her after the service, all I felt was peace and love. She seemed to light up when she saw me standing there and for a split second I wondered if she felt the way I do. I still feel her arms draped around me, even if only for 2 seconds and a semblance of that same peace washes over me. I wish I could tell her that her soul puts the color in my dark world, that her eyes hold an ocean I could drown in, that the way her cheeks wrinkle when she smiles holds all of the best parts of me, but I can't tell her now cause it'd overwhelm her, but some day I will look in her eyes and have the courage to tell, not caring if she turns me down because she's given me everything I could ever need by existing.

Hey, this is important. If you ever, and I mean EVER see someone and you feel something that you have NEVER felt before, the look in their eyes just can't keep you from looking away, don't walk away. I was always a cautious person when it came to love. After feeling something and they turn away, it hurt me so so much. Now I feel a burning thing in my heart for them.
