- Attacking the theory about Kaine and A2 from NieR Replicant and Automata being connected, because only my theories are allowed to exist and everyone else's must be purged.

The bigger question is: Does I AM CAIM have the voice of Caim before he has lost it?
it's surprising how many theories in the community stem from misunderstanding and conjecture. I once saw someone saying that Emil was actually an android built in the Drakengard world with literally zero proof except a misunderstood line from his fight.
I thankfully was aware of the correct translation from the get-go, so the interpretation I always got was that the girl in A2s memories having fond memories of her grandmother was supposed to be a parallel to Kainé remembering her grandmother fondly, Not that they were supposed to be the same person. And Human Kainé may have looked up to her grandmother sure, but they had a horrible relationship, as she was constantly being pressured into being better, and to act more proper, which led to her having an extremely uptight (yet kind) personally, so there was never really a chance of a connection on that front.
I'll admit I'm guilty of propagating this as well. A big problem is how small efforts for fan translation were, even back in the early Automata-era fandom, so we did only have the one summary to go on. I'm glad there's more efforts now to reach a bigger audience and make things more accessible.
I'm tired of seeing people stating this theory as true when it was a conjecture vaguely made by a fan that was later disproved by themselves.
I think that the people who believe in this simply didn't pay attention to the games or haven't cared about side materials at all. But even if it's the latter there is enough info in the games to disprove it.
Yeah even with just girl+grandma on farm I don't think anyone can call kaine's shack a farm
Excellent video and well said! I think too many people just read till they see the word Grandma and instantly stop there while they yell "Yooooooooooooo, Kaine!". While there isn't necessarily something wrong with a misconception like that, the fact that it has grown and spread so much means that everyone just takes it for fact without bothering to actually check if that is what the information is telling us, which of course leads us to where we are now.
Hi, I recently found your channel and just want to say that please keep making these videos. I think you are probably one of the youtubers who extensively covers Nier Reincarnation and Voice of Cards lore and how it relates it to Drakengard/Nier. I saw one other video that covered all the Drakengard and Nier timeline but it didnt seem to include Nier Reincarnation in anyway which was disappointing. Anyways thank you for the content, and I'll watch everything as soon as I've finished Drakengard 1,3, and Nier Replicant.
I really wanted someone to touch this topic, thanks!
Was the first Red Eye Caim next one maybe(?)
There are multiple Red Eye, but there isn't any evidence that Caim ever became one. It wouldn't necessarily be completely impossible since there was a weird incident way later in the timeline where a Red Eye was born out of the corpse of a replicant woman. That said the theory is really just around because fans want to see Caim again.
@@iamcaim I honestly think if Caim was Red Eye he would have appeared earlier than his first mention, the appearance of Red Eye simply proved legion's capability to evolve and act as a single entity.
While there is always the chance that Caim's body simply stayed resistant to WCS for a while after his death, and his body would be a pretty good candidate for a host that could further help evolve legion, seeing how he's one out of 3 individuals whose bodies had unique maso in the Nier world, but it still seems a bit unlikely
I always associated the 3 this way. A2- protagonist (nier)
2B- kaine
9S- emil
I f**** love this video & your sir. Seriously, people don't finish the game and don't know about the stageplay but still strongly say that this theory is true/facts. 😅
I really liked this video! I think you gave excellent examples of why this theory is debunked. Of course one of the major reasons being a mistranslation. In relation, I would love to watch a video of Kaine's story (and what happened to her after Nier Replicant) especially since you mentioned (in a comment to me) that she was turned into a beast. Awesome video as always :)
The human Kaine was an experiment who entered a bestial mental state and killed a Red Eye, she still had a human looking form. you can listen to it in the Replicant CD Drama, which is on youtube. We don't know what happened to her afterwards except that she became a gestalt. We don't know what happened to the replicant Kaine after the game ended either.
my beloved channel, fantastic video
Another banger as always
Nice video! You're the only that does these types of videos on the franchise. I was wondering, could i translate your videos to portuguese?
sure thing👍
Hi! I have recently read the novelle "Recollections of Emil" in which he mentions that Ms. 2B and Mr. 9S remind him of someone. He even mentions that 2B's voice rings him a bell during the secret boss battle. What does that mean? Who does he remember?
And apart from that, in that same novelle at the end, Emil says he can see and hear Nier voice. Is it logical that Emil can remeber "the young brother" (aka Nier) when he was erased?
Emil is just saying that the way 2B and 9S treat him reminds him of Kaine, there isn't any deeper meaning to it. Emil can remember the brother because he was brought back into existence in Replicant ending E.
the gameplay is giving me secondhand agony. thank you
Can't wait for the new console nier game (I'm coping) otherwise great job on this video! Hopefully the ignorant finally understand that, no A2 doesn't have Kaines memory.
Thanks for clarifying this. In the end I’m glad that both A2 and Kaine are their won individual selves rather than one being the copy of another.
Ayy Leave Caim alone 😂
Really like the voice
I hated this theory before not because I thought it was wrong but I hated the idea
in my opinion the worst thing star wars did was that they made every thing revolve around the same bloodline of chosen ones and nothing of importance happens unless it has something to do with the same people
so I am now relieved that it's wrong
well darn 😅
"memori" on the thumbnail
why i and not y?
The triangle symbol can be used for I,Y and J. There is another symbol that translates to Y but between the two symbols the NieR/DOD games seem to use the triangle the most.
Based take at the end
