- FINALLY. I've been dreaming of the perfect set of wheels to compliment my '84 Volvo 242 Turbo for literal years. I've finally found them. Brake clearance, bolt pattern, 80s vibes, it's all here. Today I realize that dream and plan for the ultimate specs and a full rebuild.

Very cool, my first car was an 83 242 Turbo 4sp w/ OD. Still have a mint 94 850 Turbo, under 50k miles. My new game is MK4 jettas and modified ALHs. So my kind of content. I appreciate it!

Love the project! You talked about maybe rewelding the rear arch. I know someone who did it. And he took the left front arch an welded it to right rear. And right front arch on the left rear. He got the perfect fitment!

yeah the rear arches are a bit wonky and most just forget about them, happy to hear that you're going to do something about them ;D

Hello 😄really like your 242 turbo. Got a 244 turbo auswelle with the oz futura 17x9,5” in the rear so know the deal with rear aches. You also want to shorten the trailarms by 20 mm to get the wheels more to the center of the arks. What kind of setup do you run in the front? I’m on Bildstein b16 from a bmw e46 m3 and the GRP A Design 😊👍👍

I did a trade for them for a different set of RS I had 😄
You will definitely need a bunch of surgery in the back to run a 10" wide wheel with a tire that's reasonably well-matched.
