To address a bunch of the comments, when we say "eBay Spacers" we don't mean to classify ALL spacers on eBay in the same category. There are good brands out there, but this is just common terminology for cheaply made spacers that are often found on eBay or Amazon and made overseas. Bora spacers are made in the USA! www.customwheeloffset.com/store/?cat=Spacers

Custom Offsets hi can yall do a vedio on a 2 piece adapters? And how big can yall go with a 2 piece adapter?
What makes the cheap spacers shear off the studs & how do the Bora spacers work differently that prevents shearing?
Are supreme wheel spacer good quality?
Jafet Vera just make sure they’re hub centric and read the reviews
Can I get a thumbs up for the Chair Pulling Guy?

I was about to say who is the guy pulling the chair that was a cool idea
Totally agree

Didn't know Ben Shapiro cared so much about wheels

Oy vey shut it down
Best comment for sure, dude talks faster than even Ben does though.
Omg now i can't un-hear it 😂

Been running spacers for 3 years on my M1 Abrams tank and launching it at the drag strip with all 6,000ft. lbs of torque from its 4 rotor wankle and never had a problem.
Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Can confirm. I was there.

I cant believe this video: no hours long talk and yet simpler! Got tears in my eyes man. Keep it up
I don't know, I bought 2 inch spacers off eBay and haven't had any issues with them. Been running them for 8 years.
How about amazon spacers
I’ve had some for a year now, never re-tightened the tops, done 160mph+ multiple times, never vibrations, car drivers straight, never had a issue, doesn’t rust, just don’t get the cheapest eBay ones, I got billets
@@SanAntonioNewHomesForSale most important thing about wheel spacers is HUB CENTRIC. If they're not hub centric, don't even consider them.
Matthew Pincoski hub centric does nothing more than aid in installing and lining up wheel, when everything is tight the studs carry the load by clamping force. Cheap studs use bad metallurgy and will just snap, same goes for all cheap metal parts.
@@matthewpincoski785 yea the most important thing is good studs.
I love the no chit chat approach. Also, I bought 2" spacers off Amazon for my ½ ton pickup with camper - no issues for 5 years now.
Could you talk faster I can almost understand you.
Will do 😂

Good overview, thanks for throwing in some numbers too!
didn't you know, we rock it til the wheels fall off, man 😒
My favorite thing when people talk about how dangerous wheel spacers and adapters are is when I point out and show them that they actually come on most medium duty semi trucks and most 1 ton 4x4 trucks and have since at least the 60s
I’ve been running 2 inch spacers from eBay for five years now absolutely agree with installing them correctly with the correct Lugnuts my Ford uses flat base Lugnuts from stock you have to use acorn The spacer has a taper and so does my wheel. Do not over torque! If you don’t trust the studs replaced them
Just replaced hubs on a Jeep that had spacers before I got it. Had to force every hubs bolt through, with great difficulty and none of them had threads left . The torque/moment changes substantial withe the distance.
Now I'm about to add 1" spacers. Cause they're awesome
1:37 Straight edge is not so straight
Doesn't know how to use a level. Flip it and use the bubble to get it plumb and then measure... wow.
@@24revealer you are assuming the truck is sitting on an absolutely level surface. Best way to measure with tires installed is to
1)chock front wheels and jack up the rear so both rear tires are just about off the ground, but not completely so they won't turn
2) use a long straight edge up against the entire tire (dead down the center of the tire) and measure to the fender
3) set the rear down and repeat for the front.
But doing this also assumes that your front fender and rear fenders are equal distances from the center line of your truck. Best method is to measure hub to hub, subtract the two and divide by 2...this will give you exact measurement for spacers if you are trying to space your rear wheels to equal the front. But this will increase your turning radius
@@benjaminberan7645 No, not assuming anything, he has no clue how to use a level.
They are like the guys on AutoZone ...if not on the computer doesn't exist...they don't even know what a caliper is ..

Good vid. I like the sliding office chair thing!!
I have BORA spaces on a F-350 Platinum, crew cab & short bed, with stock wheels and 38x15.5's only had to replaced the 4x4 dam with one for a 4x2. So far no issues. That is with a 3.5-inch Ready Lift; wanted to keep my factory snow plow springs.
I was going to put like 1" spacers on my S10 since they have a really narrow wheel base as anyone who has seen an S10 knows. Great video by the way
Wow what an awesome car to own!!
Needed this I was always wondering about it. Great content 🤘🏾🤘🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Ok so I’m going to do 2 inch spacers now. Just have to choose a company that’s got a good history with their products. Thanks guys. Years later your videos are still kicking knowledge to us truck lovers.

Great info, loved the behind the scenes special effects. 😂👍
Thanks for the good info man! Keep up the good work

FULLER your killing it man good job ...MOVE OVER SEAN
I’ve had eBay spacers on my 2001 Lexus IS00 for almost 4 years and I’ve had no issues at all. Just like you said make sure they put them on tight and you shouldn’t have any issues.
just what i needed to know, thanks!
instructions that came with my Bora spacers said to use factory wheel torque....on a 2018 Silverado that number read in the manual 140ft lbs
Good info, good pace..
Thank you this was EVERYTHING i needed to no 👌
I had 2 inch spacers on my tacoma back in the day, i did a lot of crazy shit in that truck and i never had an issue. Spacers arent bad; just buy quality stuff and torque your stuff properly
The 2" spacer question was pretty dumb. Lol. Great video man. You do talk a little fast though
Good to know about the toyotas thanks.
I love that you showed the guy pulling your chair at the end. The whole time watching I was thinking to myself, "what is this guy's setup for the super smooth transitioning?!" 😂
That guy really made the video.
Thank You!!!
You are the maximum I follow you and support your videos. Someday I want to become like you on CZcams. I congratulate you.
Everything you said was complete correct expect with the torque with the spacers. You should always torque the spacers the same specs that the manufacturer give you for your specific vehicle for your lugs. So example Silverado lugs torque to 140 the spacers should be the same.
Hi. GM tech here. The wheel torque for a 1500 is 140ft lbs not 120
Did you install wheel spacers in your chair....it rolls sooo smooth 👍
Enjoy all of the videos. My question is can I use spacers on my factory 20"wheel. I'm running 33x12.50r20 Fury RTs with a 2.5 front level on a 1500 Ram.
Love the chair journey 😆👍
Thanks bro 👍🏻👍🏻
These videos are great. Thanks for making them. The whole truck community is better off thanks to you
Love the moving chair👍🇺🇸👊
Note on trimming lug studs... just do it. They're easy to replace if you ever need to go back to stock and don't have enough lug nut engagement.
Thank you
I've had 1.5" wheel spacers on my last 3 trucks in the course of 10 years. I've gone mud bogging, baja-ing, bombing down dirt roads, and pretty much anything else u can do with a truck. Never had one problem with my spacers...and ppl still tell me they're unsafe. Mine aren't hub centric either, never have been.
I have put spacers for social distancing.
I've got an 08 3500 dually bout to install 35x12.50 on stock 17" wheels. What size spacers would I need and how would I install them for the front and rear?
Hey man I got a 85 bronco with five lug ttb an wanna change my rig to a six lug what's best idea to also be able to keep the ttb
WHAT A COOL VIDEO!!!!!!
I’m late but hopefully someone can answer my question, for the re-torque, are you re-torquing the spacer to the hub or the wheel to the spacer?
Just took off 15mm spacers off the front of my G37. You wouldn't think a little over a inch total would make a difference but it does. The steering became noticeably heavier and the car didn't handle as well.
yeah, for some reason myNotEbayStuff company "forgot" to mention that putting on whatever spacer causing change in the whatever suspension geometry. Among many others scrub radius which affects steering of the car.
Putting on a spacer alone makes your car look cooler, not faster at corners.
Maybe if whateverIknowEverything were able to fine tune a suspension they would have somewhat more sophisticated tools ... than a straight edge :D
Can you guys make a video on the new Vision Creep 417?
Used Spidertrax spacers for about 5 years and have had no issue 👌
Slow_T4R did you use thread lock. I didn’t use it.
Nice thanks
I bought some cheap unbranded Ebay spacers for my Jeep Wrangler- went off roading pretty hard and they were just fine- then I got tboned from a car going 60 mph on the highway, And totaled my Jeep- the wheels and the spacers held up just fine through that accident too. So I guess it can be hit or miss on Ebay 🤷🏼♂️
Increasing the playback speed to 2x is just right for this topic. Nicely done 👍
I want wheel spacers for my Mini but I never new if they were dangerous or not but now I learned it’s the quality that it the determining factor.
Vortec, I run 1" spacers on both of my Lexus and have had zero issues. Also a good amount of guys here run 2" spacers on their trucks!
Custom Offsets Good to know man I appreciate it! My wheels need to be flush with the fender flares 👌
Just curious what to do think about rough country 2” spacers ? Starting to second guess what I should get.
Ordered a set for mine can’t wait til they finally get sent to me so i can put my wheels on that have been looking at me in my garage for weeks...have to wait for the good stuff ain’t running no cheap spacers
Lol cheap spacers 😂, you are paying for the name! I have ran reasonable priced spacers for years and years never once had a problem!
This great group of guys never fail to answer my Questions
Can hub centric spacer adapters be used to add space in between dulleys on a 1994 chevy p30 motorhome to both avoid tire rubbing and giving you a wider stance?
They are necessary for some builds. But if installed won't pass vehicle safety inspections in some states.
Cool vid
Great vids! Subbed! Got a question for you. I have a 2006 sequoia that I want to put 35" tires on. The factory wheel size is 17x7.5, and offset is +15mm, and most people have to run a 1.25" (or 31.75mm) spacer with factory wheels to make it work, but I really dont want tor un spacers. When buying new wheels, does that mean that I need to have an offset now of -16.75mm to make up for the spacers? looking at getting into 17x9 or 17x8.5. Any help is greatly appreciated!
@Ryan you a part time asshole or working your way through life as one?
What size spacers would you recommend for a 2020 sti trying to clear caliper with a wheel fitment of 18/9.5/ +40?
On my Tacoma they only make the wheels I want in a -12 offset and I’m looking for closer to -44 can I use a spacer like this to help accomplish this without compromising the integrity of my set up?
How much should I torque a wheel spacers for my 2019 ranger?
Ive had ebay spacers for 40 thousand miles and not an issue. I also was offroading and hit the lip of concrete getting back on the road and didnt realize it stuck up so high, bent alot of shit but the spacers held up
I want to install 2020 Camry XSE wheels (19x8 ET50) on my 2018 RAV4 LE with 245/50R19 Tires to avoid major changesin speedometer. I was also thinking using 20mm Hubcentric spacers to avoid rubs. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Nice!!
So I have 22x12 -44 but I was wanting the wheels to stick out a bit more... I just got my front end fixed n it was pretty expensive would putting 1.5 inch spacers be a terrible idea?
I have a set of 1.5 inch spacers that I bought for my tundra. When bolting the spacer to the hub I noticed the lugnut doesn't grab all the treads. Do I need to install longer studs on my hubs?
Word of advice from someone who installs spacers on a regular basis. Use blue locktite on your lugs from the spacer to the hub. This will keep the lugs from coming loose over time.
It helps. But you should not have to use loctite on them if you are torquing and re-torquing them correctly
@@CustomOffsetsTV Why torque 2x when you can loctite once?
JL spacers are of this size 5-127 71.6 14*1.5?
I have a 2020 Subaru ascent and I only want like 1/2inch spacer. Will it affect my towing/tongue weight capacity? Will it also lower the life of bearings?
So if a specific spacer seems to be a high quality metal aluminum/magnesium alloy (I have already ordered and received them) and are hub centric and I torque the as per spec, is there anything else I need to be aware of or double check after the re-torque? The brand is H&R DRA if that helps.
Just make sure to re torque in the future and that should be it!
So can we use on f-150 with plow and towing or we have to remove when plowing ?
Ok, so I have a 96 f150. I can’t decide whether I want to run a spacer setup or a deep dish rim setup. If I run wides what does it effect. And if I run spacers what all do I need to replace with after market for less wearing or bearing failure?
Got eBay spacers replaced the studs and they are 6160 aluminum. Never broke

I’m getting a wide body kit for my 2016 mustang... if I don’t get new wheels I need to run 2in spacers on all 4 corners. Is that solid or sketchy?
I’m going to be getting a S10 4x4 Pickup and don’t like how the front tires stick out further then the rear tires. What should I look at on getting rear spacers for it? Other then daily driving, should I worry about having them on the rear axle, like hauling loads or eventually taking it off road? Eventually I’m wanting to swap in a rear axle from a S10 ZR2, but don’t know if I should have the front regeared to 3.73 or the rear regeared to 3.42.
Shoot us an email to info@customoffsets.com so our experts can help you man!!
I want to run spacers on the rear wheels on my srt 4 because I got big nitto’s on the front because I have 600hp getting put down, now it looks janky because the front is wider than the back, anything wrong with just getting spacers and slapping them on the back?
Need a little help because I’m putting flares on soon and want everything flush but a wider stance
This the first video I ever watched from this channel and I already subscribed this shit is lit!
😎😎 Welcome!
when adding 1.5inch spacers....is a 4 wheel alignment required or needed? vehicle was recently aligned before the spacers were added
Shouldnt need to!
I wanna get spacers but I've heard from a couple mechanic friends good and bad things. One of them was trying to tell me how the studs on my truck, 01 ram 2500 are stronger no matter what and spacers are always going to fail because the stud is the weak part
As long as the spaces are a good brand they will be just as strong. I don't know about the US, but in Europe Eibach or H&R are the ones to get.
Craigslist job's post: "chair pet walker"
I've always wondered what that was.....
Now I know - lol
Adding spacers adjusts the wheel geometry and adds extra stress points to the suspension.
It's in no way different from wheels with low offset. But yes, that is still true even if it doesn't matter in most situations.
So does wider wheels.
So either way, you're still gonna have added stress on the same parts.
@@codyrockwood15 wider wheels do not adjust the geometry because the hub face is in the same location and no further leverage is added. Extra stress points are added on the opposite side of the spacers and are not present on wider wheels.
What about suspension stress ? Should I upgrade that too or will I be okay. What I am doing, is buying high quality control arms for sure
Unsure what ya mean by suspension stress
What about putting undue stress on certain pivot points or causing irregular wear
Hi, I have Jeep willy 2020, what kind of spacers and size would you recommend?
I have a c6 corvette z51 and want to bring the wheels out flush to the wheel wells which ones do I buy ?
Wow a legitimate non biased review with real answers, nicely done.
Any insight on putting spacers on a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee? What's the shortest I can go without having to cut the stock studs? 1 inch?

Is it safe to grind the inside diameter of hub centric spacers to fit?? It’s just slightly smaller than my hubs at the moment
Can you change to studs on spacers?? To put longer studs?
