We lost our beautiful Nancy on 12-13-18. Makes me so sad because she was a favorite of mine for so many years! She called herself a "song stylist" and she was so right, she had a style like no other, simply inimitable! RIP, Nancy, and sleep warm. We will miss you. (Thankfully we have her recordings and videos like this.)
Andy is gone now too. There were some superb talents back in that era, that were incomparable, and NO one has come forward who is as good or memorable as they were. Music (if you can call it that) by popular singers today, is mostly noise with a banging beat) but fortunately, we have recordings with which to remember them and still admire them.

I look at Ms. Wilson and recall how as a teenager my sister and I were often told we looked like Ms. Wilson. I think it was in the hair and our little brown skins. Just a couple of weeks ago a gentleman who used to be a stage manager for Ms. Wilson in New York stopped me and said "Honey you look exactly like Ms. Wilson". I blushed. I'm only moderate attractive I guess but to hear a comparison to this great woman all my life, I am pretty much proud. She was and is so elegant. : )

@@merianpeterson5073 .... I'm 71 years old now. One of the first albums I bought at 13 years old was Nancy Wilson. I would sit on the arm of the armchair next to our combo record player and radio and sing all of her songs with her. Over and over again. Her voice encompassed it ALL. I wanted to be her when I grew up. Not a nurse, not a secretary...but Nancy Wilson! Being a white girl that was a tough one, but never thought about it. Plus....I couldn't sing a note that didn't send shivers down my neighbors spines (and my poor tolerant mother!). I guess the point is, I adored her and at my age of 13 she impressed me with cool, calm and beauty. I loved "singing" with her! Miss you, singing partner❤

On Nancy Wilson's performance of Don't Go To Strangers Remember, Nancy Wilson is the next step in the progression of this art, not to be compared with her predecessors... Ella, Sarah, Day, Christy, Jackson, Sinatra, Como, Exstine, etc. nor with those who followed. It's always the Unfathomable voice of God expressing... blending many preceding expressions, insights, tributes of previous and contemporary expressions. Disconnecting, preferring, comparing singers, musicians, dancers, artists...
