Thanks for your video. I like the blue fabric.
Ok! One vote for blue!
Blue for sure
I went with blue!
I have seen the first two videos on the blue dress pattern. When will you be doing the skirt addition video. I have the same types of alterations as you do, so i really like how perfectly you fit your bust and tummy areas. Keep on sewing. Thank you.
Hi, Lorraine! I'm so glad you found me! Welcome to my Curvy Tribe! About the blue dress- I hated how it turned out because the fabric was a little too heavy. Yes, I made a fabric choice mistake! So I pretty much ruined it trying to make it work somehow. Meaning, there is no Part 3. So sorry! I hope you enjoy my other videos!
Floral!!! Nice job making your own top! Like the sleeves on your top!
Hi, Jo! Welcome to my Curvy Tribe! I am def making that dress in a floral fabric! I'm thinking the shorter sleeveless version- it's HOT here! Keep watching and commenting!
this is a great video, why did you stop making videos, we need more like these very informative great for learning to sew
Hi, WW! I got so busy working ALOT getting ready to retire last May. Then I thought "I'll have so much time when I'm retired!" But now we spend half the year in Michigan with three of our grandkids and two daughters and they keep us SO BUSY! I feel terrible that I haven't found time for The Curvy Sewist! I swear- I am going to try so hard this year to make more videos!
Thank you so much for the encouragement! I really need that! Hope to see you soon with new videos!
I ordered this pattern should be here soon, I prefer the blue but the floral would also be nice.
Yes! Two potential votes for blue! Isabella, you could be the tie-breaker!
I've just found you and love your tutorials but where is the third video
Love the blue
Welcome Rae! Yes, between YT, FB and Pinterest, the blue fabric is the winner! My first tute will be live today!
Yay Robyn!! Count me in for your FIRST LIVE STREAM!!😁
Thanks, Marge! I'm excited about good participation!
Are you doing the 3rd video on the blue dress pattern please? X
Hi, again, Michaela! As for part 3, there isn't one. Long story, but basically, I hated how it turned out. I hope you find a few morsels in my other videos! Not the pattern's fault, I think it's awesome! But I chose the wrong fabric and had a flop. I hope to make this dress again!
The floral.
I think I will definitely use a floral next time, probably a rayon challis. I think it will turn out much better! Carol, welcome to my Curvy Tribe!
I like the print for the sleeveless version.
Haha! That's my plan! I finished the blue version.
I’ve watched the first and second video and cannot find the third one where you sew the front and back skirt section. I have this pattern, but just had lumbar surgery so cannot go upstairs to my sewing loft for a while. Also would love to see how to make a slower. Love your videos!
Hi, Cindy! So happy you found my channel! I did not make a third video finishing the dress- I chose the wrong fabric and it looked terrible! I know, I should've still shown everyone- rookie mistake!
I do plan to make a video series on making and using a sloper- hopefully this summer, since I will then be RETIRED! Keep watching, and welcome to my Curvy Tribe!
How did you make your sloper?
Hi, Cyndi! My top, dress and pants slopers were quite involved and took for-ever! I hope to one day do a few videos on them, but in the meantime, you can find patterns that will help, like Palmer Pletsch, and I think one of the Big Three have one also. Search the words "sloper" "toile" and "block". Good luck!
