      My experience with...
Keto - Results are always amazing, fat melts quickly, hormones balance out perfectly & i feel like i'm in my 20s again (turning 43 in July). I just need to eat lots of salads (or take fibre &/or mineral supplements). & whenever i do a cheat meal with lots of dessert, i crush coz i overdo (even on red wine 🙈). But with discipline i'm back at it in no time.
Low Carb - Geez, the sugar cravings 🙆🏻‍♂️!! I get so ill-disciplined when i try low carb. I guess i consume low quality carbs. I'm in South Africa & low quality food is easily accessible while good quality food is mostly pricey. I put on weight quickly & end up storing fat again. (Then quickly feel the need to go full on keto again) But what also helps is my active lifestyle (gym & jogging/races)
Carnivore - I'm still yet to try it fully & consistently. I once went carnivore for about 3 days, i mostly experienced a bit of constipation & gas/bloating. I guess i did it wrong. (Please make a 'carnivore video for beginners' or refer me to one you done already)
Thanks for the amazing & informative content.

In 2007 my wife and I went low carb and stayed that way until 2016 when we went keto. The last 4 months my wife is now carnivore with 80% fat / 20 5 protein ratio to help with her gut issues and histamine intolerance. I'm carnivore in winter and eat what ever I can grow and forage in the summer.

I started keto 3 years ago and went from a size 14 to a size 4. I then decided to implement carbs back into my diet because frankly I missed a lot of my fruits and veg, as well as my brown rice, quinoa, beans etc. I haven’t gained any of my weight back after being on this new lifestyle for 8 months. I’ve actually lost even more weight eating this way. I eat Whole Foods with some carb restriction and I also intermittent fast daily with exercise. I am happy and healthy. I wouldn’t change this lifestyle for anything! It’s definitely more sustainable for me personally.

One has to adapt. I’ll never forget a friend asked me what my goal weight was after noticing how much better I looked after losing about 30 lbs. I honestly hadn’t thought much about it, just wanted to get to about 200 lbs as I’m a tall guy. But his comment made me think, maybe I could start having carbs again. It really is much easier going cold Turkey with them, especially to get started. I firmly believe that it doesn’t result in getting too thin, but carbs are delicious. I always say, if it’s your birthday, I’ll have a slice of cake-it has to be a special occasion. The problem is, that brings back cravings. Not disagreeing with you though, quinoa actually is ok on keto, in moderation. Rice even is better than processed carbs like in cake, etc. I guess Zim saying, if your diet doesn’t make sugar cravings come back, it’s probably alright.

I had A1C that was 5.8, I went to the Mediterranean Diet, I lost weight quickly and my A1C went to 5.2 in about 6 months. My diet was mostly plant based, leafy green vegetables, walnuts, pecans, almonds and macadamian nuts. Spinach, salmon and chicken. I wanted to get more muscle so I went to KETO, my HDL is 85, triglycerides 45. My nutritionist hates KETO and told me to stop going online. I ignored him. I love avocados and green apples with cinnamon. No more processed foods such as rice, bread pasta and pastries. When I went KETO, my LDL went up. I don't eat that much cheese as KETO has you eat. I have 1 egg each day. Have steak 3x a month, lein pork chops, chicken. Also have lentils and black beans. For fruits I have berries, blue berries , raspberries, strawberries and black berries. I do intermittent fasting as well. If I have high carbs, which is rare I will have ACV. I walk every day after each meal, resistance training is important. I wen from 200lbs to 152lbs, 5'9. Basically I try all and follow your advice, I eat leafy vegetables and protein 1st, then foods that may have higher carbs

I really enjoy your videos, they are inspirational. I used your advice over a year ago and was greatly pleased with the results. I weight 260 pounds, belt size 44 and diabetis was not controlled (I never had to do the insulin shots). I did the lo-carb diet, cut out breads, rice and potatoes entirely, and fasted from 8 - 12 hours several times a week. After 6 - 8 months my weight was under 200 pounds, belt size 38 and my diabetis was firmly under control (A1C went from 8.3 to 5.5). I fell off the lo-carb wagon during the holidays and I have regained 10 pounds with fluctuating diabetis numbers. I am now slowly getting back on the wagon, eating more protein and fats and reducing carbs. It is difficult because my wife doesn't want to change her diet. I am not interesed in the carnivore diet since it is too expensive.

Some great advice there Kait. I am keto/ketovore, never had a weight problem mine was a slow accumulation of toxins as happens as we get older. Which causes inflammation, my inflammation was in my joints. My diet was the main culprit. I got an infrared sauna which helped a hell of a lot, then cut out all the processed foods, added sugar ( which I had done previously), grains and seed oils. After that basically went keto, that also helped. I have had a couple of big takeaways from this. First is ultra processed foods are probably the biggest culprit in our health and that we don't need to slow down as we age provided we can keep toxins in our bodies at a very low level and do regular detox's. What we eat has a huge bearing on us as we get older. Most important is eat real whole foods, eliminate processed foods. If you can eat organic if you can as to avoid one of the worst toxins out there, glyphosate. Just from my personal experience and from others I have heard.

I'm just starting my journey into actively changing my diet. I don't have the luxury and ability to cook my meals all the time. While I don't exhibit all the symptoms of insulin resistance, the techniques you've described in this video and others may help in improving my health and losing weight. Thanks to you, if I know I'm going to be eating carbs, i can address it before or after so I don't feel powerless or guilty. I'm learning a great deal from your videos. I'm so happy that meat and fats are beneficial as I try to go low carb/keto because I love cheese and enjoy the flavor butter gives food.

I bounce around between all of these depending on the amount of activity I engage in. However, I do notice an increase in discomfort from arthritis when I consume too many carbs. I try to stay with the nutrient dense options. After doing this for several years now, I can pretty much alter my daily intake according to what is on my schedule for the day. Lots of physical work allows more carbs. Very cold (below zero) days or rainy days dictate more of a carnivore menu. Learning what works for you is the key, and that takes time. Watching your videos always gives me ideas for more options, too. Thanks, Kait!

What you eat is more important than how much you eat. I fought with overweight conditions most of my life, and it wasn't until I went on the carnivore diet that I not only lost weight but got off of the five different medications my doctor had me taking. That was years ago, and I still am maintaining a healthy weight and take no medications. Many of the life changes I employed were learned from Kait, right here on this channel. I'll be the first to say that no two people are the same, but you have to find what works for you and forget about criticizing people for what works for them. Calories in and calories out is a good general recommendation, but it never worked for me. I'm happy for you if it works for you.@@anand45671

I’ve done carnivore for a year and I loved it, I never shed so much weight and felt happy about the things I ate.
Unfortunately the price of meat in my country became too expensive.
So I had to drop it.
I ended up falling out and gained a lot of weight eating rice , beans , bread everyday.
I’ve recently decided to jump back into it again but adding healthy greens this time around (keto)
It’s been a week now and I feel like the low carb greens are so light that it feels just about the same as not eating them.
The benefits I’ve found is that it gives me a few more options on meal choices I can cook.
    I’ve also been exercising everyday
Let’s see how much weight I can shed this time 💪

Super video content! Great to see the differences side by side. I know cooking a carb like potatoes and then cooling it down, then reheating it makes them less problematic. How about putting ancient grains bread or other like bread in the freezer, then toasting it and smothering grass fed butter on it? Does the freezer do the same for the bread? I sometimes like 2 slices of toast with my home grown eggs, and a couple slices of bacon.

Carnivore definitely for me. I can’t eat non meat because they burn my stomach or give me diarrhea. I have gained more muscles and lost a lot of fat.I can finally see my abs. Carbs taste good but it’s junk food. Filler. I do eat some carbs occasionally but I pay the price for it that same day or tomorrow morning.
In carnivore I poop less frequently and very little comes out when but my stomach remains flat and I never feel bloated.
On carbs and veggies I get bloated very easily and I still feel hungry.
I started my journey to get rid of burning stomach. And discovered that there are more benefits on carnivore than the standard American diet which is just simply carbs and everything soy.

I think versatility and changing things subtly can be the key. Teach your body to roll with change ups and be versatile. As long as you stay in the basic keto/ carnivore based area I think you’ll benefit greatly. Don’t be afraid to add a carb now and then in short duration. A good example is when you get invited to dinner with friends, eat whatever is served so you don’t become one of those people. You know what I mean right?

LDL is actually not a strong marker of heart disease risk OR overall health if your HDL and trigs are within a healthy range. (Most people who have heart attacks actually have what is considered "normal" LDL). Focusing only on cholesterol is missing the point. I weighed 258lbs when I decided to go on a strict "low carb": diet and lost 58lbs in about 9 months. I exercised a bit too but not too much. I am now about 210 after falling off so I started keto and it seems to be working well too. Great video by the way. I think the general theme is too many carbs are bad and whether you pick 1 diet over the others, depends on your taste, discipline and how much weight you want to lose.

i feel so much healthier on a low carb diet, i have pcos and the only way i can seem to regulate my hormones and cycles is to limit carbs drastically to basically just berries and veggies. my only concern is whether eating lots of fats ( mainly saturated ) from the likes of full fat coconut milk etc can be healthy long term ?

I nearly overdosed on insulin. Im insulin resistant. The more insulin I took at the recommendation of the doctor, the higher my blood sugar went. I am trying to stay carnivore but a bit of keto during my crash time between 3-4 pm. I have an Atkins shake mixed with ice, 11 blueberries, miralax, and probiotic fiber powder. That is my only deviation from carnivore. I’ve lost 8 pounds, less inflammation, don’t have to sleep as much, A1c down from 9 to 8.1 and still working on it, sugar levels within range. Im gluten intolerant. If I deviate from the food plan for me, I bloat. It has been difficult to eat meat, but it is coming around. I was a veggie girl. I rarely ever ate meat. But I feel better.

i guess it really comes down what works best for an individual with some universal knowledge like cutting down on sugar and processed foods and in some cases eliminating bad things all together like soda pop. Do the best that you can in your own personal situation. Myself, I don't have the discipline nor desire to be a vegan or a carnivore but I do want to eat healthier and feel better.

I don’t know if you’ll see this but I’m wondering, in your other videos you mention that butter is good for us. Does that mean eating eggs in a hole is okay to eat first thing in the morning? I was under the impression it was not because we are frying the egg and therefore it’s unhealthy. I’ve been strictly eating poached eggs every morning as it seems like the healthiest way to eat eggs but I’m afraid I will soon get sick of it and I really dislike hard boiled eggs

I crave other foods on carnivore and seem to be more hungry though. Overall I think it depends on what your goals are.

Yes, low carb was the best for me, I have been on a special diet since 2004. I used to weight 250, now I am 160 for the last 3 years. I am dealing with autoimmune disease and a few other conditions, so I try to watch what I eat to reduce inflammation, and prevent IBS, the low FODMAP diet has been good for me, I have also been a vegetarian for 45 years, but eat eggs and cheese. So losing the weight has helped a lot of conditions; insulin resistance, high blood sugar, and high blood pressure. Now my blood pressure is to low, so I need to increase my salt and fluids...

Hello, I am planning to do a version of Dr. Paul Saladino's Animal Based Diet. You can have fruit, depending on your activity level as to amount, and honey. Otherwise, meats, butter, cheese, eggs, etc. I feel this is better for me, an absolute sugar addict, to make it easier for me to not feel too puny. You can also have occasional sweet potato, and white rice on this plan. I feel the fruit and the honey in moderation will keep me satisfied and help me be successful.

    Spindrift
    Poppi
    Ollipop
    Culture Pop
My two absolute favorites on taste and "hitting the spot" are the least and most, Spindrift and Culture Pop (but keep in mind, Culture Pop still only has 6 grams! Way better than a coke)

I had some blood work done 3 weeks ago and my A1c was 7.1 so I immediately started looking for something to do bc I have NO intention on being diabetic. I instantly dropped all white food and started brown rice and realized my blood sugar was still high (165) after 2 hrs. So I found these sorts of channels filled with information and I quit all grains period. Lately my highest bloodsugar has been 124 after 2 hrs and that was from 6 hotdogs in a low carb spinach wrap. I've lost 24 lbs in these weeks since changing my eating. I eat cashews and peanuts, garlic, pepper, and onion powder. I'd like to give carnivore a shot bc on a few days when I only ate meat I felt full (but constipated) and my bloodsugar never went over 100.

I'm on low carb and keto for past 7 years (last 3 years intermittement fasting too). I tried carnivor for few months and it suited me much better then keto (because there are not any bloathing). But my problem on carnivor was contipation, I wasn't go to toilette for 7-8 days at all, and then my poop was so hard that only way to get it out was to use enema. 😢😮 And such rare stool isn't good for my hormones too, I'm 53 and in menopause. So I started to eat some fibres too, again (hemp, flax and sesame seeds, walnuts, organic cocoa powder, cooked sauerkraut) and this combination is much better for my digestion and stool. I wanted to stay on carnivor forever, but it isn't best solution for me obviously. 😞
