The Grainger 4 is the evolution of our Private Stock Gary Grainger Bass line. As the primary designer of our Private Stock basses, Gary (John Scofield, Dennis Chambers, Frank Gambali, etc.) collaborated with many bass artists, including Wyzard (Mother's Finest) and Kevin Walker (Justin Timberlake), to create a Core PRS bass with all the character and quality of Gary's Private Stock models but with a more universal appeal.

I played a 5 string of this in Nashville and it was awesome the punch and then the smooth when you wanted it . Yes they are very expensive the one I played $8,500 and that was a Grainger Private Stock .

It’s relative. I think $3k for a bass is a nice price point. Of course my current bass cost me $9200.

Every demo that I have heard of this bass is the same.... the bass just doesn't do what I want a bass to do. I'll happily stick to my Fenders and G&Ls.
TomSJazzBass too bright and twangy. Not my style either. I’ll stick to flatwounds and a fender. I like deep and bassy

Played one doesn't have that deep bass growl and it's way too expensive not worth it to me
