Would like to see Cory play both so I can get a more accurate feel for each bass. When you have two different players, there are two different styles, which in my opinion, makes it difficult to gauge the differences between both guitars.

I have an Ibanez and a Hofnor and would trade both for either of these PRS basses. Will probably buy one in the near future.

I bought a Kestrel in 2015. The bass was beautiful well-balanced and sounded great. But I had two major problems with mine. First problem was the neck pick up stopped working. PRS replaced it but then THAT one shit the bed as well! Then after about a year and a half or so, a huge bow had developed in the neck. It was SO severe in fact, that you can hardly turn the truss rod any further! And even after I got it relatively straight, there was still twisting and unevenness along the entire length of the neck. The neck was totally shot… Completely warped! And I don’t store my instruments in any kind of extreme atmospheric conditions either. It was most definitely a quality control issue. I suppose perhaps I just got a lemon...But because of those two major problems I had with mine, I just can’t give any positive feedback on the instrument. And that sucks, because I loved the bass when I first got it. ☹️

Cory prefers the Kestrel, it has a wider range of sounds and a more open voice in the lower range.

So... It sounds like the right is a Wal copy and the left is Fender copy (with active electronics?)...

Ive had my Kingfisher bass now for 3 years. I love the way it looks and plays. But I dont like the pick up sound. looking
at swapping them out for a set of Aguilar DCBM 4 with a OBP3 Preamp. That should take it where it should be.
