    Thank you so much. This was a big help. I suffer from cognitive degeneration and it makes learning new things a chore. If I did it everyday, that would be one thing, but I don't compile firmware every day. Each time I need to do it, I have to figure it out all over again. It's so frustrating. You made my day.

    I don't know why others dont talk about this but it is easier to reverse the normal running direction for a NEMA 17 stepper motor is to just switching either the left or right pair of wires in the pin connector. For example: If the motor runs clockwise and you need it to run counterclockwise instead, you make a note or photo of your pin wirings and in my case that would be Black, Green, Red, Blue being that Black + and Green - are my "A" coil wire pair of positive and negative and the Red - and Blue + are the "B" coil wire pair (which those two are taken from the connection pin plug and reversed from Red and Blue to Blue and Red).
    Once you switch the two wires, your motor will run in reverse of what the factory sent.
    In a nutshell: Your stepper has 4 wires which are actually acting as two sets of positive and negative. Take one pair (the right view two wires) and switch their placement and your done!

      @FusionSource  Před 2 lety

      Hi, it sounds like a hardware problem. The SD slot comes under a lot of pressure when you insert or remove the card and the hardware might be damaged on the inside of the slot or the solder joints. You could go the octoprint route or install the BTT Touch Screen. I installed one on my printer, still need to do a video on it, and that has additional slots on it. Can you heat up the printer and move the x,y and z axis? Try connecting up prontoface and do some diagnostics with that.

A quick internet search reveals how many customers spend many many hours trying to get the boards they bought working with no solutions. Chinese manufacturers destroy innovation and their competitors by selling very poor quality products at dirt cheap prices. Their quality is terrible but ultimately it's our own fault because we're too cheap to pay for anything more expensive than a crappy ender 3.
