In shortcut, Alt+F4 is a great Windows level shortcut for not only closing out of programs and applications, but you can also use it to shut down or restart your computer.

Useful shortcut. Thanks for teaching
Glad you enjoyed the video! I use Alt + F4 for just about everything on my computer :)
Very cool. Thanks for the tip! Glad you got your CZcams channel back. How scary!
Thank you so much! We thought we had lost the channel for good
The only downside here , is that alt+F4 will close the active window,. But it doesn't work like the "X" because it won't ask if you want to save work etc. It's more like " end task". Than it is to close .
But thank you for the other information.
Hi Vincent, thanks for the feedback. If you have unsaved work in your document, Alt+F4 should still ask you if you want to save it, just like clicking the X. I just tested it out on my computer. If that is not asking you to save your work, there must be a setting somewhere (which I would have to dig around and look for). Either way, glad you learned something useful from my video. Cheers!
how about alt+shift+f4?
Alt + Shift + F4 does the same thing as Alt + F4, no? On my computer it just closes whatever program I'm in. Does yours do something differently?
noobs: hmm? alt-f4
Eveyone: Lol
Not everyone knows that one yet :)
