I rode a 750 Nevada belonging to my father in law - I recognised that whirring sound straightaway!

I had a V10 sport. Never had a problem in 3 years. Being Italian It obviously ran like a big with hickups because it didn't like cold UK weather but then neither I.. That was in 1999.

Why do they trot out the tired old cliche, "build quality has improved" since when?when where guzzis badly made?they've been going for 100 years and the engine in this bike has been made for 60 years.in the seventies the motorcycle press(mcn) might have made these claims, but they where desperately trying to save the British bike industry, they awarded the norton commando machine of the year,5 years in a row!a bike so awful that it hammered the final nail in the coffin

Yes. I was thinking the same. My Le Mans 4 was built in the 80s. By modern standards there are no frills....and it’s all the better for it. If only my 2012 Benelli was anywhere near as reliable I’d like that too. Moto guzzis have never been badly built to my knowledge. As far as I’m aware the only real issue is flaking engine paint on bikes from the 1990s......but don’t Suzuki’s, bmws and yamahas suffer from that too? Guzzis don’t suffer the regulator problems of Suzukis and triumphs and they are simple to service, maintain and repair. On top of that the engine is a thing of beauty and has the quirk factor you’d not find anywhere else other than on those dreadful plastic maggots Honda made in the 80s.

Bloody annoying camera work and not sure why they've put it in a park with matey emerging from the trees for no apparent reason.

Indeed. And the "zz" in Guzzi as in "pizza".

When you can't even pronounce the brand name correctly, the credibility of everything else you say suffers enormously. That's a shame!
