The Kui is one of the oldest ethnic groups in Cambodia. According to records, they mastered iron smelting about 1,000 years ago.They forged weapons for the Khmer people who wielded power throughout the Indo-China Peninsula and made great contributions to the building of the Angkor Empire. Today, knife forging is still one of their traditional handicrafts.
