- Lived in this little "shelter" for a week, while I was in Texas. It was still hotter than hell but it was nice to be in one place for longer than a few days.
I accomplished a lot while living in this shelter with every insect imaginable and absolutely no power.

That is a good little place for someone to stay for several days . Sorry to hear that Bruce got sick, I know what that is like one of my 4 dogs has been sickly for the last couple of weeks, but she was doing some better yesterday and even better today . So I hope that she continues and also that Bruce gets better soon . It looks like that you got some good sleep and rest, cause you looked better at the end and the natural beauty was shining through in your eyes and face . So you and your girls get back on the road traveling and I will see you later, take care and stay safe . All the food that you prepared and cooked looked delicious, so you must be a pretty good cook .

Menards sells a DRing style rechargeable cob led light that will also charge your phone. I set some up with magnets and red and amber reflector lenses to mark the perimeter of thr oversize equipment I was hauling at thre time. They are pretty durable. I have like 8 of them now. Lol

Cool looking spot. Looks like you had time to prepare a bunch of food. Have you ever made an omlete in a bag? Throw in a zip-lock: eggs, cheese, etc steam in boiling water until cooked (about 3-4 mins). Use hot water to clean. Oh, poor doggo (Could be heat, but he is a LV doggo or giardia). I have a cat, but the sound is awakening, yuck. Or the muffled meow. 🐁

Hord's Creel Lake near Talpa has some of those shelters too. Out of the way place and the burritos at Big O's in Talpa are on point!😎 That's not terribly far from JW's place either.

Heat is the one thing I struggle with, idk why my ancestors moved from Ireland and Scotland to scorched earth, I do love Texas though many German as well, but im part ginger and always burning alive, could be because im bulky and my beard is hot, i do better in cool weather 70 is about as hot as i like.
That reminds me of the ccp camps they used to setup for the men working back in 30s an 40s during the depression. Roosevelt started the ccp programs for employment an to rebuild an maintain state an federal parks.

I do edit on my phone but I do miss editing on my laptop. Power and internet are slightly an issue so I just do it on my phone with a program called power director cyber link. I like it
