Kasey was one of my best best best best friends when we were Freshman in high school, and I always knew she was special. I always knew she was going through something. But, we fell off once she finally grew into who she was. No particular reason, but she’s right, she was a loner.
If she sees this, I love you and always loved you and miss you dearly.
When I knew who I was, I tried to drop everyone from my previous life. it’s hard and some reason the brain always wants to do it alone
@@aubreyseaweed7182 It happens. I never asked questions. I just supported from afar. She’s not lying about how people treated her either especially at the start of transitioning. We went to school in a very small, country, judge mental town.

@@gymmaster9771 I did know her, yes. I don’t know the person she is today. But I did. I knew her before transitioning and in a place where I was new, she chose to be my only friend at the time. I’ll never forget her. I hope she finds her way back on the east coast, things have changed so much around here. There’s so much more appreciation and respect for the LGBTQ. We even have our FIRST ever pride event this summer. Huge steps for our area.

As a middle eastern man, I gorw up on disowned gays and transgenders. But I'm 45y and all gays and transgenders ppl I met or deal with are very genuine honest poepel.. we must accept each other and show kindness to all regardless thier gender, color or national origin

Reading the replies to some of these comments really shows why Kasey is in the situation she's in, so many people itching to break down trans people for simply existing adding another layer onto the heavy burden they carry on their shoulders. I wish the best for kasey and hope she gets the help she needs, she's a very genuine kind person and deserves so much more than this hateful world can give her.

He's helping a lot of folks & bringing more attention to the homeless too. It's baffling to me why we have so many homeless & hungry young people in a country that's so wealthy. Sad so sad to see. The amount of young people working & living in their cars is astounding. I just can't hardly wrap my head around it but I know a lot of its due to greed for more rent & money in general. I'm glad Marks helping bring more attention to this. He's right where the good Lord wants him.

It’s happening all over the US. California and Florida have that going on for about 10 years. Meanwhile peoples income stalled and many lost their jobs.

One of the most interesting interviews that I have watched. As a straight man, I was not aware of persons in the trans community had to put up with so much hatefulness. I wish her the best of luck in finding peace, happiness and fulfillment in her life.

Yes. Learn a trade. If you like the movie business, learn a trade needed in that area. You can make business contacts that way too. Instead of hoping others will take care of you, take care of yourself. The right people and opportunities will present themselves if you are working towards a goal. Best wishes!

Out of the many Skid Rows residents Marc has interviewed, Kasey has the most potential. She deserves so much more. Almost all of Marc's subjects deserve compassion, but Kasey has the capibility for a better life.

I never went through it anywhere as hard as Kasey but I've been thru it for sure... panic attacks 5x a day, suicide attempts, abuse... Kasey's facing a lot of the same struggles as a lot of girls I know. We can & do & *will* fight back. We've got so much fucking power in us to build a better world together so that no one needs to go through this shit again.

Holy shit I know her and her sister. Two different cousins of mine dated her sister..who is now an escort. Were all from a small part of Maryland (not Baltimore), to see her here is kinda crazy. I remember when she transitioned..she was prolly one of the few Trans folk in general where we’re from. I hate to say it but I’m not SUPER surprised this is how things turned out.

I’ll add: I grew up in a traumatic household. I know kids experience things that change them or their life’s course it’s too common and very sad.
I guess it makes it really real when it's someone you legit knew. So much so that it's kinda surreal.

As a cisgender man I say we must protect Trans and nonbinary individuals at all cost and respect what they identify themselves as, they are not new in human society they've always existed.
It took me a lot of unlearning and listening to get to this point but I truly believe everyone, no matter how transphobic, homophobic, or patriarchal can learn to accept these humans for who they truly are.
If you still refuse to accept transgender/nonbinary individuals, I get it, you were raised to think the gender binary is the only truth, but just open your heart to love and acceptance and just be ok with the possibility of changing your preconceived notions, my mind changed over time and so can yours. You can be a beacon of love rather than a beacon of hate, I believe in you! One Love to all.
These people won’t even accept themselves for who they truly are.
@@skywatcher7777 Kasey in the video said she knew from a very young age that she was transgender. Many transgender individuals I have heard speak say the same thing. Maybe trans individuals would have an easier time accepting themselves as who they really are if the world didn't put so much pressure on them to fit into the biological sex=gender binary, maybe they'd have more confidence to be and accept who they truly are if the rest of society would also accept them and not oppress them.

I have no issues with trans people. I just feel they should not pretend to be biological [male/female] when they aren't.
I have read stories of a cis-passing transwoman who got married to a man and never revealed to him that they were trans.
Their husband was getting worried about why his wife never had periods and never got pregnant.
You were born with a male/female organ, GRS and HRT might make you pass for the gender you want, but you can never be biologically that gender.
Stop the deceit, a trans Woman is not a biological woman, neither a trans man a biological man.
