This video talks about a bad breakfast. so what are some examples of good breakfasts?
Does oatmeal, "cold rolled oats" work?
    What about eggs for breakfast?

Eggs are great! If you have to have oatmeal, steel-cut are much better.

Buy a freestyle libre and test yourself.
      Ex. Morning sugar 100.
One hour after oatmeal breakfast, sugar 140,
      Burning you're arterial wall.
      Causing inflamation.
      Oatmeal is pure carbohydrate
      W some fiber, protein. Some.

Have you tried anything new. Do you have dry hands in winter. Cracking? Or any other skin problem. Lower carb. High saturated animal fats. No matter what. No seed oils, no olive, no avocado. EVER. Please give it a go. Breakfast can be some carbs with a ton of butter on it. Or eggs with bacon fat. Or steak. Or a jumbo salad with sour cream or just vinegar. No traditional salad dressings. Try some blueberries and high fat yogurt.

My husband has been wearing Libre for a couple years. Problem with it is not correlate with other glucometer. 30-80 difference…
Sure company is very good at sending new ones. But you really can’t trust those readings on Libre all the time. I was curious about myself ( I am not diabetic ) my experience with Libre was same.

Crestor has made me a diabetic took my aic from 5.1 to 6.7 my fasting blood glucose from 105 to 140 - 160 and 30 lbs later 200 - 230 in 2 years . After I had 4 stents in 8/21 started Crestor 10mg per day LDL was 70 now they want me to take Metformin I stopped the Crestor and won’t take Metformin. Going to start taking Berberine

I Berberine is just the same thing basically, but without the controlled clinical studies. I won’t take statins either, but I recognize that by doing that I needed to make even more lifestyle changes. I’ve been low carb/keto for a year, eat way more fish, and doubled the amount of steps I take EVERY day (average more than 18,000+ steps). Put your life in your own hands. Just because Berberine is “natural” doesn’t reduce its side effects.

I’m sorry I missed this event. When will you be having another? I am 69 and the doctors are pushing me to take cholesterol medication. My neck scan was perfect but they said I was showing Harding of main artery on left side of my heart. My #’s are total cholesterol 208 HDL 48 my triglycerides were higher than they liked. I don’t want to get on statins. Please let me know if you will be having another teaching gathering. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Doc, Lipid profile (2 days ago): TC 265, TG 75, HDL 80, LDL 167. Interventional Cardiologist pushing HARD for LIPITOR. Blood Sugar under 100. But LP(a) is 73 (higher than the 30 or 50 they want it at). Very slight mild calcification of LAD and I’m 57. But having Catheter Ablation for SVT/AFib on Wed 2/14/24. Am moving towards Carnivore/Lion diet. But my TG/HDL is under 1! That’s really good. I don’t eat a lot of carbs in general, but I can surely eat less.

We need to finish the development of non-stick CGM's like the one Apple is working on. Even if it is larger and has to be worn on your upper arm, and is not FDA approved. People need to start getting feedback on the crappy American diet they have been lied to about, for the past 70 years……

HA!. You are spot on. The two things I cut out when first diagnosed were fruit juice and cereal. Breakfast is greek yogurt or eggs now. I don't miss cereal and juice. I will be asking my Dr about a continuuous glucose monitor though.. Even if there are copays, the knowledge and awareness is probably worth it.

Have you considered NOT eating breakfast at all? Might be even better for you long-term. After all, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" turns out to be just a marketing slogan (by Kellogg...to convince the public to eat their breakfast cereal). 🤔

@@charleskra obviously in such cases, this would have to be done gradually WITH the help of one's physician (so they could slowly cut down the medication). Hopefully, one has a Dr. who's open-minded enough to go this route.. otherwise, one is basically stuck and the disease will get worse over time. 😔

Dr. Brewer, how do I get a CGM prescription. My NPC didn't want to listen when I told her about my TRI OVER HDL, she said that in doing practice work she didn't have time to look at different formulas and just stuck with the going trend. my number is 6.46. she put me on generic liptor 10 mg to start. Sounds like leptin resistance. What are you eating? Cut out ALL sugar, severely limit carbs (including ALL grains) and fast intermittently. I'd do keto, ketovore, or better yet...carnivore (for at least 30-90 days).👌

@@mr.nobody10101 I totally agree!! I was keto for 8 years and now ketovore for 1 year. Love it! Keep total carbs at 50 grams or lower per day. If you're hungry, you're not eating enough good fats. Check out Dr. Berg on how to start keto. That's how I learned. He's great and gives out short, easy-to-understand videos. Btw, the best low carb bread is by Maria Emmerich. Look her up as well.

Funny, a few years ago I went through a faze of self squeezed (I manually did this from Valencia Oranges) orange juice. From what I know now now this was a massive mistake as it contributed to my many metabolic diseases. One was decades of fatty liver disease (NAFLD) which a hospital functional liver test showed I was on the verge of cirrhosis of the liver!
Bugger having permanent liver damage…hence why I did meat only carnivore (mainly fatty beef-grass fed and finished if I can get it), which I started 5.5 months ago.
    Damm I’m a machine now! :)
