    I made an alchahol infused coffee bean nitro infused coffee. It was worth it. Took me one month. I had to barrel age the beans after I had the alcohol that I wanted. It came out good buy as soon as I added alittle bit of creamer, the flavors exploded

    Have you tried throwing milk and coffee in there to make a draft latte? Like those la colombe drinks? Maybe I’ll give this a try..how much are the nitrogen canisters each generally??

    A friend makes his own soft drinks with CO2, and I'm wondering if this works with N2O.. 1 cup water, 1 cup unsweetened grape or OJ, room temperature for both, and a heaping spoon of honey. Mix until honey dissolves, and carbonate. The honey actually makes it hold bubbles longer than other raw sugars. Can you try it and let me know? If you have a juicer, mix it as you would to make any 1 fruit juice, adding honey instead of any other sugar, and let me know?? My home made grape juice is a fantastic soda with CO2, and I really want to know if N2O will work.. I can use this so much more than CO2

      The texture and flavor will be quite different with nitrous oxide instead of carbon dioxide. N2O bubbles don't have any "sparkle" to them, they're very soft and a little sweet. Carbon dioxide forms carbonic acid in water, which gives the bubbles that light prickly feeling and adds some acidity to the flavor of the liquid as well. Pure nitrogen, as the NitroPress uses, has no flavor and the bubbles are only meant to add texture in the form of a head. So, the gas you choose to use for infusion depends on the results you wish to have in the cup. Carbon dioxide will give a classic soda-style flavor and effervescence, nitrous oxide will give a softer, lighter texture with fluffy bubbles, and pure nitrogen will produce thin but creamy bubbles with no additional flavor.

    Can you use CO2 and N2O in it? With the nitro tip or by buying isi tips? Does CO2 work as a soda siphon if held upside down?

    • @primacoffeeequipment
      @primacoffeeequipment  Před 4 lety +1

      You can use CO2 as well as N2O with the nitro tip. And you will have to ask Hatfields about whether or not it can work as a soda siphon if held upside down. We don't have any experience with that, and they don't mention it on the product documentation.

    Hello, great video you have there.
    I was just wondering, can 1 charge (8gr) be used on 1,5 litre of pure cold brew (in a bigger tank)? What happens if somehow it under charged? Thanks in advance!

    • @primacoffeeequipment
      @primacoffeeequipment  Před 3 lety +2

      Each cartridge can handle 500 ml batches. Although it wouldn't alter the flavor, it would likely just lack the texture you're aiming for.

    Can you nitro the drinks multiple times to make it more nitroy?

    • @primacoffeeequipment
      @primacoffeeequipment  Před 5 lety +4

      Overcharging the siphon can be dangerous, so we recommend against trying to use multiple chargers for one drink without bleeding off pressure. If you want to have a better infusion and head, you can shake the beverage more, let it sit under pressure longer, or add some other ingredients that would increase the viscosity.

    Is each nitro canister only enough for one drink? Also can the nitro canisters be stored for a long time or does the gas leak over time?

    • @primacoffeeequipment
      @primacoffeeequipment  Před 5 lety +3

      The nitrogen cartridges are single-use, and we recommend using one per batch. Since the batch size is up to 500 mL inside the siphon, this could be one or two drinks depending on your desired serving size. Unused, sealed cartridges should hold their gas for quite a long time. Leaks are possible but quite rare, we wouldn't expect you'd need to worry about that at all for long term storage.

      Hi Michael. Unfortunately the spout itself is not available for sale, it is only sold as a complete package with the NitroPress siphon.

      @@MIKExMASSACREx I have seen on the ISI website that nitro shouldn't be used in a standard Cream Whipper as these are not sealed the same for the different pressure from a nitro cartridge. Please don't quote me though :)

      I made enquiries with NitroPress directly who said you can use N2O and CO2 chargers with the NitroPress too but you can’t use Nitrogen chargers with cream whippers made for N2O chargers as they aren’t strong enough. The pressure of the nitrogen chargers is higher. I hope that makes sense.

      Actually, the common whipping siphon you can find for cheap on Amazon is intended for N20 (Nitrogen + Oxygen mix), and they do not feature a stout faucet to facilitate nitrogenation. In other words, it would create a coarse head with large bubbles, not a full integrated, velvety texture like the NitroPress is capable of producing.
