#classic #lookexpensive #expensive - Jak na to + styl
I'm so happy you love this 'expensive' video, so much fun to create it new inspo, you will this flat shoes video: czcams.com/video/9r-TCs2uMwE/video.html
Would you mind saying a few words about colors/styling for men? Yes, I know women are your main audience. I just mean you might mention styling for men *en passant* (if you will, lol), for those of us of the male persuasion. đ
PS: I very much enjoyed your female-centric video. Great looks and good ideas, probably applicable with tweaks to men.
When I was a young business woman, I had NO money for a working wardrobe, and buying suits and work jackets at a thrift store was just unheard of. Add to that, the fact that I was a Size 14. So I read everything I could get my hands on about dressing well, and one book advised to pick two colors for my work wardrobe and make everything "go" with those two colors - I selected navy and tan. It was good advice! I shopped carefully at every department store on my lunch hours and on weekends, especially in their bargain basements, but only bought good quality items that I could wear at least three seasons. It was so difficult to find anything in my colors, my size and in the quality I needed! Piece by piece, week by week, month by month, I acquired a work wardrobe. Until then, I wore my two straight skirts and my two blouses with a couple of scarves that my Mom gave me, alternating and switching them around so hopefully, people didn't think I never dry cleaned them. Believe it or not, back then, women didn't wear slacks to work! And we ALWAYS wore stockings, and then later, pantyhose. How times have changed!
Truth...who EVER had closet space, or $$$$ ti dress in a different outfit EVERY DAY
Good for you!!
Weight loss would have helped.
Iâve been a jeans and tshirts mom for years. Iâm 44. Iâm currently going through and upgrading my closet and learning how to look cute while still feeling comfortable. I adore you and appreciate your videos tremendously. Thank you for all of your time and hard work to help the rest of us look chic â€
I suspect I do often look like a flight attendant! I love silk scarves. I hate dark colors on me, so navy is âmy blackâ. Iâm happiest in white, light neutrals and yes, pastels. These are the colors that suit my Soft, Cool, Light Coloring best. I think a white, ivory, beige/taupe outfit looks much better than a done-to-death all black one, especially on me.
You have such an eye for the classic looks.
I love love love whenever you post one of your "colour" videos (the final outfit is gorgeous). Some people will insist neutral dressing is boring, but you prove time and time again how much classier it looks than garish loud colours and patterns! More of these videos please! Xx
Thank you so much đ
I agree but then again if you understand your body type and personal style, you can get away with being more adventurous. So having a staple of solid colours which are neutrals is the way to go, and then you can intentionally divert occasionally. Too much good taste is a prison. You can break the rules if you know what you're doing. I think Frederique is nailing it lately.
I have always thought new dark denim does not look nice . Denim is best faded , worn by the young people and also denim jeans or tight trousers with stiletto heels are a big No No .
@@marthaanderson2967Surely it depends on the style and the cut? Dark blue denim can be terrific in an understated, sharp classic style particularly a jacket.
Faded denim can look awful if it's a cheap floppy denim, it needs structure or you just wind up looking lost and overwhelmed by scrappy looking styles particularly if you're older. Especially avoid the cut denim with holes etc. I don't mind classic Levi 501s, and definitely they need to be worn in. A soft oversized jacket can look really good.
Love these looks Frederique! I prefer wearing navy blue to black although I do like black. Neutrals are so classy!!
I love your style!!! Usually women wear more baggy pants because they are in fashion, but skinny or slim pants will always be my favorite as they make you look stylish, classy and sexy. For women that have a nice body they make the outfit look always put together and more feminine. Itâs good that we still wear them as all time classics, we refuse to be fashion victims. You are the best by far.
I agree that a trio of neutrals which interact well is a good base for a wardrobe. I also agree that a wardrobe of 90% neutrals with only embellishments of transitional fashion colors appears far more expensive. I wish all navies and all grays were similar, but undertones can creep in, leaving us with separates of the "same" color which will not work together. Navies may lean teal or violet. Grays may lean blue-silver or muddy griege. The classic camel color has always been a difficult neutral for my coloring. I substitute a grey-toned khaki, taupe or "stone" color.
I like the Navy with Camel very much. All the outfits have given me some ideas. My great aunt Aggie was born in 1892. She was my best advisor. She said to wear a bit of white next to your face. I still do, whether it be a small stand of pearls, shells or headband. I have found by doing that, I can wear any colour. Love blazers with genes. How does one wear a blazer with a dress? Hope you show us .
I like to throw a blazer over short-sleeved/sleeveless knitted dresses.
Beautiful ensembles. I love the cognac (camel) touches.
Because I am a flight attendant I avoided navy for years. Just starting to wear it again. Thanks for all your advice. I learn so much from your videoâs
Ha ha! My school uniform was a navy blazer, grey skirt and white blouse so I also took a long time before re-embracing this palette.
Hahahah I did the same x
I getcha! Navy was a work colour and quasi uniform like. However, I always liked it! It always looks smart!
@@halliebass2493 It also speaks trust and reliability. Which is why banks and airlines use it.
Leave the school memories behind mesdames! đ€ My go-to advice is that navy blue is âblack for blondesâ including silver haired ladies. In my opinion, only those with Mediterranean colouring look great in black and their mothers with silver hair retain their ability to wear it too.
This hairstyle, length makes you look very young, love it. LOVE the dark colors too, thank you for all of the great tips, just found you!
I love these colors. I have a light grey pencil skirt that I haven't worn in quite some time. I "ll wear it again with a navy shirt. You're such an inpriration!!! Thank you!!!.
No flight attendants look đ Your fashion tips are just perfect supreme .May your holiday season be filled with love and light đ đđđđ
I'm 71 and everything that you "show and tell" here is perfect for women of every age. The only thing that I do differently is that I usually wear flats - primarily sleek loafers or ballerinas. If it's a heel, it's a low block or a kitten heel. Adore a structured bag - looks expensive and it's so much easier to find stuff inside! Thanks, Frederique!
thank you đ„ł
I'm so glad you gave grey a thumbs up, it is very classic , especially on brunettes. I recently heard another influencer say it's boring and drab. Love your input.
Love love love all these colours FrĂ©dĂ©rique - for light pullovers donât overlook Uniqlo - good price points and donât be afraid to try the mens section as well as they have great plain v-necks
â€
Glad you like them!
Love the pleated skirt outfit. So flirty! I love gray and navy and I added a beautiful camel coat to my Winter wardrobe this year.
Great video as usual FrĂ©dĂ©rique! Thanks a lot for this valuable tips â€
Stunning the final combo.
A mix of classic and contemporary lovely.
†your style and pairing of colors and pieces! Sophisticated, elegant, classic and overall womanly!!
Love this video! Absolutely agreed with you on these colours, they are my choices too. Have a good weekend.
Those yellowish ivories, beiges, camels and tans donât look great with my cool coloring, so Iâve been very happy to see so many taupe, a cooler version, pieces offered instead in 2022, and Iâve stocked up. I use the trick of wearing white, too, under my beloved tan leather jacket, etc. I love warm browns like tan, they just donât love me, but there are ways to make them work better, as you say. If not a white top, I often add a scarf near my face in better colors for me to make the warmer neutrals more flattering.
Yesssss!!!! Same taupe looks sooo much nicer on me! Iâve been on the hunt for a taupe blazer!
Good trick, I do the same!
Love how you put these colors together. Love everything! You are so talented and have such an eye for putting outfits together.
Your color pieces are fabulous, love the navy silk shirt, pleated skirt, and the tan linen blouse especially. I always wear grey and navy, but lately, I feel like it's boring or bland and I need more inspiration. The other day, I wore a gray fitted sweater with red jeans, a white blazer, and silver metallic ballet flats - I know it sounds weird, but it worked somehow. Love your channel and personality, much appreciation for your posts.
Now red jeans would be fun and a touch of bright! I got my nails done poppy red for Remembrance Day. That pop of colour in the grey skies of November is a sign of life! November is a somber month here. Usually Gales and cold rain however, we have had a relatively warm November! HoweverâŠ.winter is coming!
My go to colors are Black and Gray but I also love Brown and Beige. The only other colors in my closet are Orange/Rust and Olive which I love with my Brown leggings and Pants. Not a Navy fan or any other color!
I keep it simple and never wonder what to wear!
I love your style!
You ALWAYS make me smile my funny beautiful friend!! Love all the looks! I especially love Navy with a military flair to it !! Iâm a Black, Navy, Gray and Camel girl myself!!! Great video my friendâ€ïžâ€ïžđđââïž
You look pretty with that top and jacket.
Beautiful looks. I love navy, white, black and gray by themselves, in combination or with bright colors. I don't wear a lot of beige or camel especially near the face. It does look great with navy.
I'm in love with that gray plaid cardigan! I'm trying to find something similar, it looks like it would go with practically everything in my closet! And again, great video, I really enjoy watching these then trying to recreate the looks with what I have, so much fun, please keep them coming :)
I love both navy and black but with my silver/white hair (my very dark brown hair is only evident in the back...the years have flown by) camel does me in so I bought a pair of Camel pants. Gray isn't a favorite of mine but I do have a silver satin blouse that I like.
Thank you for this! I love all these colors and I love how you have combined them. Helps me rethink combinations with what I have.
Some years back, I bought a stylish grey wool winter coat! It was amazing the range of colors that looked beautiful with the color! The dry cleaner was impressed with how it blossomed when cleaned! This year I bought a nice grey purse, also fun how it looks with my other colors! Thank you!
Never thought of wearing grey and navy together but it looks fabulous
You Lady not getting older, only younger. Very good subject, helpful I think my look elevate latte colour too.
I stumbled on your channel this morning and so glad I did! I am retired and streamlining my wardrobe to only pieces that work together, I will add black as an extra neutral and work the same formulas. I have dark brown hair and brown eyes, your colors are perfect for me. So many online are blonde with light skin and eyes, the clothes they choose are light and pastel, never in my closet!
As usual, more great outfits that I would wear and already have in my wardrobe! Iâve been on the fence about the pleated skirt but youâve changed my mind, I must purchase one. Much love FrĂ©dĂ©rique đ«¶đŒ
Great ideas for combining my 3 favorite neutrals!
Fantastic video! All my favourite colours for the last 3 years since I turned 56 years. Such an excellent mix and match wardrobe. Thanks and all the colours go with my skin tone. Bx
Thank you! Continue to provide guidance, tips, outfits, color combinations. BRAVA!
You are so welcome!
Love these type of videos so much. Thanks for the ideas Frederique! I need to add more navy and grey outfits to my closet :-) You looked great in all outfits.
I love navy. I have noticed that carmel does have a sophisticated or polished-ness to everyday clothing. But I wasn't expecting grey. But it looks lovely with that navy blazer! I love the look of wearing white or cream (winter white) - but I just end up getting it dirty or stained too often. Oops!
Oh my gosh this video is so helpful! I rely on all-black so often that I forget to even try other colors!
AlsoâŠYOU LOOK SO GOOD! You are absolutely glowing in this video! â€ïž
Loved this video and ALL the outfits! Thank you đ
Oh. I also bought a gorgeous long gray coat as well. I love coats!
These are my favorite clothing colors!!! Great videoâ€ïž
I love, love, love †gray. I love camel as well. Iâve been trying to incorporate more navy. Itâs fun to see them altogether. You gave nice examples! Thank you.
Thank you for this video. The combos suit me well.
As always, thanks for including tips to add some edge and do the classics in a modern way đ
THIS is one of my favourites! I am falling in love with navy, camel/cognac and grey colours
Navy and camel! Yes!
Yes, I agree now that blazers & trench coats add elegance to any outfit. Loved all those ideas đ
Great video, love all the outfits!
Thank you, thank you for demonstrating how to use classic neutrals in ways that are not plain or boring- or aging! Love these outfits, i am inspired! âšïž
Glad you like them!
I am dark autumn so pure grey and white are big no no unless it have warm and rich tone. But navy and tan combo have always been my favorite. Thank you.
I loved this video! Thank you for all your tips
Love these colour combinations. All my favourite colours
"Spank the button" - omg, love it đ
I've a new wonderful, knitted, slim navy medium dress, and I will wear it first time tomorrow, at a Vernissage. I will wear it with light brown high boots and matching brown handbag. Can't wait! I've a navy long trench for walking to the gallery (it's near by, don't need mycar).
Omg I love every outfit! â€
Uf, I love the navy and camel combo! Also the navy and tan! I canât decide because grey also looks amazing too! Love these looks â€. Thank you! Also, youâre looking so beautiful đ„°đ€
The magical power of 3! Love it and your advice.
Thanks! Great đĄ ideas.
Camel and Navy are classic colors, I agree. As a third color that uplifts any outfit I'd suggest sand or white/off-white, depending on the skin tone. Grey is not for everyone (on me it's awful). In general, your French style is interesting, what I'd like to see more is variations with other types of trousers, and dresses. Also, your suggestions are tailored to your figure and skin tone, maybe you want to try and add alternatives for other body and color types. Also, maybe lay more attention on balancing the outfit, as e.g. skinny jeans and a tailored blazer are a bit tight altogether, why not add interest with something that brings volume (upper, lower or bag).
Navy and camel looks great
Love all of these!!
You are so right, that last outfit is fantastic.
Great looks Frederique!
Wow, I really love the outfit with the moto jacket đ
I like the big plaid of the gray cardigan. I think large patterns are easier to wear if theyâre in neutrals like that, or natural colors like soft browns and greens, than bright, multi-colored, high contrast ones. My favorite checks, stripes and plaids are in light neutrals, like taupe on white. My favorite florals, I do wear some, but not many, are in white backgrounds with a single-color pattern, like blue or green. Dark, black-background moody florals and other patterns are trending, especially for AW, but donât suit me.
Love, love this video. Thank you so muchâ€ïž
Amazing work on the outfits definitely making it wonderful.
Great looks, thanks! Navy and white is my favorite spring through fall color look - love with tan, taupe or brown leather shoes and bag - always looks pulled together!
The grey jumper and black pleated skirt look amazing on you. Love it. Can you do something for a hot, sub tropical Aussie Summer?
I love your choices of the outfits and colors (navy and gray especially) you put together Frederique. I wish I had your shoes to complete the outfits with, so classy. I recently tried a dark gray satin camisole with a chunky white button down sweater and colors and textures are perfect together. I so enjoyed this video.
This is my favourite video yet đ
Great job!Love those ideas so classy!
Glad to see that you included navy since all I remember is you praising is black, black black, a color that I look terrible in. I live in a beach resort town in the US so black looks out of place here and the shops rarely sell anything that is solid black. Also, I think I am the only person I know who wears a blazer...perhaps because I am originally from Manhattan. Your heel choices look great and add a pop of color, however, heels are totally impractical so my choice of shoe are driving mocs, ballet flats or flats of different colors. As for structured bags one rarely sees them. A blazer already looks too formaI where I live so when I were one, I prefer less structured bag or even a straw one into fall. Parisian style you talked about is wonderful and classic, but it is not appropriate in every town.
You're lovely as always! I do think women need to remember to adapt this advice to suit their personal colouring. I had colour analysis done almost 10yrs ago, and I know that because I'm very warm undertoned (autumn) unfort white, black, grey and navy are not good on me and actually look cheap near my face - so I'd adapt the advice here to a light cream blazer for example instead of white. Camel is fine, of course :) Very dark brown instead of black looks super expensive on warm people too.
All these outfits look great. You have given me yet more ideas. I love navy, black and camel. I have a gorgeous light grey jumper too. Love Lxđșđș
l love your look with the grey V-necked tee you re wearing
V t-shirt gives a thinner looks. She looks great đ. French American, so yeah, great advice.
Great fashion ideas -- now to go through my closets -- once again!!!
Love it! Love it! Love it đ„°
These clothes look like I have in my closet. Love your ideas of course. So sweet thank you.
I loved your suggestions...and I totally agree with your choice of colors...it looks classy and classic.
Your style tips are always amazing đđŸ đđŸđđœâ€ïž

Navy and camel, love it. And I love the longer coats as I am short and hippy
thanks Frederique, love the outfit with the leather jacket đ
Love grey and white
Love all these colors. You look great!
Absolutely love your style. Simple, classic yet up to date.
Thanks so much!
I love the same colors but I had to give grey a brake cause I had way to many grey things so I stopped buyingg gray . Im new on cammel. Have to buy more items in that shade.
Love your stile!
That pleated black skirt with the gray sweater is a total winnerâŠ.LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!
Ooh La La đ
Clique, clique, clique, oui, oui, oui! Love your ideas, but you have the perfect shape for skinny jeans! Thanks so much!! You are very enthusiastic and quite chic!đ
You are so welcome!
