I have an area that I want to avoid, its where my primary job is & its a 5+ mile radius where I grew up there & the people are too sorry, & I deal with the sorryness & thieves, plus very low income every day. rare to meet anyone decent, it once was a great place, then NAFTA came, jobs left. drugs & crime came, So I have nothing but bad vibes in that whole area, but other than there, I plan to go 75 or so mile from either of my homes, which are near 20 from bad area. lol. lots of good vibes many other areas.

I can understand that I don’t do work in certain areas around me due to some similar reasons.

It shouldn’t stop you from hanging your shingle! There have always been people like that and always will be. Just work smart and choose your customers carefully. And you should be safe
