    You do not have to take nj transit to nyc penn station just take the PATH train from Newark to nyc penn station or nyc downtown. It runs 24/7 for 2.95 .

    Used your video as a guide to transfer to NYP from Newark and was very accurate and helpful. Only drawback was that monorail has rather small cabins and it gets crowded during peak hours

      It also will work when traveling from anywhere in the Newark area of New Jersey and connects you to the rest of the state. Take the train to Secaucus and then find the line that is en route to the city you are going to. There should be one en route to New Brunswick for anyone at Rutgers.

    AirTrain Newark is free between terminals and parking areas, but if you enter/exit at the RailLink Station, there’s a fee of $5.50 IN ADDITION to the cost of the NJ Transit or Amtrak ticket. This video wasn’t clear about that.
    Also, the ride on NJ Transit is NOT an hour or more; it's usually about 25-30 minutes unless there's track work going on, or there's some kind of emergency that slows service.

      Yeah I was confused lol I live in Hamilton NJ and it takes about an hour to get to Penn station in new York in the train, so it made no sense that it would take an hour from Newark to new York since it's next to each other 😂

    What About The Path to Newark '

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  Před 5 lety

      Path to Newark Airport (EWR) from NYC downtown is good as well, however requires transfer to Bus at Newark Penn Station.

    • @lawrencewestby9229
      @lawrencewestby9229 Před 5 lety +1

      If you are traveling from NYC to EWR you can take PATH to Newark Penn Station and from there either take a NJ Transit train to EWR train station or take a bus to the terminals. Taking PATH and bus is cheaper than taking the train. This also works in the reverse direction. Taking the NJ Transit train direct while a little more expensive does have the advantage of there being no connection other than between the NJT train and the EWR AirTrain.

      The train ticket cost is $15.25 (NJ Transit) and from $30 (Amtrak), each way. On the top, add $5.50 for EWR Airport internal AirTrain portion. So basically $21 from EWR Airport to Penn station.
