If you want more info on the playmats we used in this video check out Dragon Shield's Nomad playmat on TCGPlayer here: bit.ly/casually-cedh-nomad . This is the second part of our 'Battle of the Builds' episode, so let us know what you think of this 2 part series. Also, if you've been looking forward to the budget decks, our regularly scheduled seasonal gameplay will continue this upcoming Friday with our first episode of this budgeted pod. Hope to see you there!
    *NOTE ON MANA ECHOS*
Adam misunderstood how Mana Echos worked and didn't think he had enough mana to active the Sliver Queen. In practice, Mana Echos would have counted both slivers and would have generated enough mana to activate Sliver Queen, but due to the misunderstanding Adam just passed turn, thinking he needed to wait to untap to have enough mana. Since it wasn't a rules error and was just a gameplay mistake we will be leaving it as is, but we wanted to leave this note explaining the issue.

I think these would be the perfect play mat for pre commandfests. I think when you are in the middle of a game and they tell you that you have to move tables this would be perfect for that but now with commandfests and dedicated play spaces they are a little late to the party. Still would be good for when you wont be able to play a full game and can keep your board state clear and organized as you move.

True enough. Still seems weird to me to hate out the deck capable of killing with commander damage...in a pod specifically about KO by commander damage. I also just have a thing against hating out any deck/strategy before it shows it's thing. Like if a deck is threatening a win, by all means, target it's pieces. But preemptively targeting a deck that's durdling just because it has dangerous win cons is shitty to me - not saying that's definitely what happened here.

They are a bit of an eye sore to watch on camera. Probably works fine in person but i felt like it was hard to see all of the cards.

I’m all for you guys making these themed videos... but this was not voltron. This was you guys expanding too far on what “commander damage” means. I would appreciate it if you stuck more on theme

This is the official "'Opponants' in the Bruse / Kydele deck introduction" comment. Please don't post more comments pointing this out; instead upvote and reply to this one. Thank you.

  • @illbetthisnameisnttaken6598

I'm sure you all got the playmats as part of a sponsorship, but man they are rough to look at. Not a fan unfortunately :-/

  • @gokumasteredultrainstinct6883

Do a non-partner partners restriction. Any two legendary creatures, they don't have to share color identity. Their total identify is the deck's. It's about as within the rules as this "commander" dmg restriction. Lol

    (A) never use those ridiculously overpriced dumb mats again.
    (B) remind the players to think about the overlay and stop hiding half their board below where the overlays would be.

The overlay over the manabase is kind of weird. Nice video non the less
