@@bakasamacollects2054 Worldgorger has 2 abilities, one that exiles and one that returns. If he is removed in response to the ETB trigger then he will try to return the exiled permanents (none) first then the first trigger will resolve and exile everything.
Important to notice that WotC dont do that anymore. For context look at "Banishing Light" and "Oblivion Ring". While on the surface they are the same, Banishing Light has only 1 ability that do everything while O-Ring was 2 abilities (like the dragon, one to exile and one to return), that means that said plays arent possible with banishing light since if you remove it in response to the exile trigger nothing is exiled, but with O-ring it would exile the thing forever

    @samuelcreighton2530 Před 4 lety +9

This was an awesome game! My only qualm is that because Gitrog and Kefnet remained untapped, that fateful turn where Bill was swinging would have been much different. The 2/2 could finish off Jace and the kroxa would go towards Joseph (as it would almost finish him off and put pressure on Joseph’s ability to crack peatland or verdant catacombs and get additional draws). Misplaying that swing lead to Joseph staying in the game and interrupting Bill’s combo turn. Still a very exciting game but just goes to show how important it is to pay attention to those pesky enchantments!

I just wanted to point out that the draw step first action is to draw a card, so the damage from the mana vault is made after a player draws a card (the same applies for declare attackers, if active player first action in the attackers step is to cast a spell or activate an ability it means that he/she didn't attack).

Nate didn’t draw from remora off of shenanigans? He should have had 2 cards at the end of that turn, 1 from deluge and 1 from shenanigans.
In terms of other stuff I thought was weird, gitrog swung ramunap excavator at zur instead of jace, and zur didn’t extort when countering kefnet’s play in that last turn cycle to kill Gitrog.
Also, I don’t know the decks all that well so maybe this is wrong, but it seemed like Bill probably could have won without going for the risky Worldgorger dragon line.

    • @yolofson

No, Phyrexian Unlife only turns damage into infect, if you're at 0 or less life. Lets say, you bolt someone with PU in play and 1 life he/she would be at -2 life. On the other hand, Spoils of the Vault lets you lose life. Damage causes loss of life, but loss of life is not damage.

    Huh.
702.61a Suspend is a keyword that represents three abilities. The first is a static ability that
functions while the card with suspend is in a player’s hand. The second and third are triggered
abilities that function in the exile zone. “Suspend N-[cost]” means “If you could begin to cast
this card by putting it onto the stack from your hand, you may pay [cost] and exile it with N
time counters on it. This action doesn’t use the stack,” and “At the beginning of your upkeep, if
this card is suspended, remove a time counter from it,” and “When the last time counter is
removed from this card, if it’s exiled, play it without paying its mana cost if able. If you can’t, it
remains exiled. If you cast a creature spell this way, it gains haste until you lose control of the
spell or the permanent it becomes.”
    Today I learnt.

I notice something about Jordan i dont Understand his plays, not just this game rielle for 2 Times i dont Understand his plays. He could do jace Turn 1 🤦 to get card advantage to have maybe a counter and played his commander instead....

Ragmesesis jace is a wincon for his deck, so he doesn’t want to risk it dying as he has literally no recursion for planeswalkers
