    At 43k my 14 fusions water pump just went out. Thank you for this video thought i was going to have to drop dealership $$$ at first. Looks like it will take longer to bleed the air in the system then changing the pump

    Ok, this looks close to my 2013 Fusion 1.6L ecoboost. I read somewhere that I had to pin down the timing belt. . . And I guess that's on Escapes or something. That's the internet for ya! Also, thanks for the tip of the break cleaner! Just about kicked my own butt for destroying a new belt

      Did you need to take apart the car at all? My friend water pump went bad and she saying the shop is going to charge her 500 to replace it because they need to take apart the car to replace it.

    if the pump is damaged, can coolant get into the engine oil?

    • @partsshooter
      @partsshooter  Před 10 měsíci

      Assuming the impeller is "free wheeling". Belt turning pulley but impeller not rotating. It's rare... but can happen. With that said, in conjunction to a working seal in water pump. This can happen in your case you're asking

    You should have shown the bleed process. These are very prone to holding small bubbles in the heater core even with a working heater
