A cooking video with no talking!! Thank you, thank you! And… great music.
❤️ 😀
I sped up the video to 1.5x speed, it was more enjoyable. Plus cut music by 75%
I couldnt stand the audio of the pasta though - yuck! ahaha
Good recipe… bad music 🎶… felt like I was stuck on the phone waiting for representative to pick up the call 😅
Thank you for sharing this recipe Have a great day. Looks delicious will make soon
Ahh this is delicious. I love that they don't talk about absolutely nothing. Thanks for sharing recipe😅
I'm glad you enjoyed the recipe Maxcine, and you're very welcome! 😊👨🍳
Made this ‘cheat lasagna’ substituting red wine for a similar amount of stock. Incredibly tasty and much less work than a traditional lasagna, but equally is as yummy! This is now on my list of regular week-day meals 😊
I'm very glad that you liked it!☺️😁❤️
I agree it's time consuming to make lasagne 😀
Ha ha what’s not to like here, a base of a Bolognaise and leeks in white sauce with pasta 😁 Only change I would make is leave the oil out of pasta water, it does nothing other than waste the oil.
Looks fantastic! Will definetly try this one
Made it today here in New Zealand. It was absolutely amazing!
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
😁🤗❤️
This is basically a modified version of a classic Greek dish called Pastitsio. Biggest difference is the addition of the leeks to the bechamel, which sounds delicious. In the Greek version, you would flavor the meat mixture with a touch of cinnamon.
All good but never put oil in the pasta water as the pasta will not absorb the sauce as readily.
You're right, Kurt! It's similar to Pastitsio 😉 Leeks in béchamel sauce give the dish a spicy kick. Next time I'll add cinnamon 👍 Bon appetit🍴
Never underestimate the power of cinnamon in savory dishes.
Just a pinch of cinnamon in any meat-tomato dish .. beef vegetable soup ... chili ...
@kurtjohnson4816 You are right. In Pastitsio though we also do not put the pasta with the béchamel. We put cheese in the pasta and place a layer of pasta, a layer of minced meat, again pasta and on top the béchamel with cheese (and my personal addition - rusk crumbs which make the top crunchy).
The cinnamon is a MUST in the meat to give that extra taste! 👌🤌
my mum used to make this for me. loved it, tho never knew her recipe. lost her 5 years ago so this brought back memories.
I understand that feeling of “Gee why didn’t I ask more questions, now I’ve missed my opportunity, we should have talked more about real things” I miss my mom every single day!
@@hillaryhollins667 ❤
I wouldn’t change anything. It’s perfect for my family who are pasta lovers. LOVE THE RECIPE. THANKS FOR SHARING!
You are so welcome! Hope you enjoy!☺️🥰❤️
This is like if mac n cheese, shepherds pie and lasagna had a 3 way and produced a probably pretty tasty offspring.
The problem with. putting oil in water to cook pasta is that everything will slide off the pasta.
You want the sauce(s) to ‘stick’ to the pasta.
But this dish looks awesomely delicious. Will definitely try. 😊
The problem with putting oil in water is it floats and does nothing to the pasta, you add it after if you need to!
I agree, that's just pouring money down the drain for no benefit
Not after it’s baked in the oven
@@laurenceotoole1700
Yeah few drops of vegetable oil , lol
Yeah you know you are right about that. But when making spaghetti it works well. The sauce us stirred in very well
Looks tasty. Just a tip: I have nearly a similar recipe but I grate 4fresh carrots and add that to the mince, then frying it together. . This makes the dish healthier and naturally sweeter. You do not even detect the carrots afterwards. I also add grated carrots to my spaghetti bolognaise mince when frying. Anything for more vitamins when I prepare for my family!
Great tip! ❤️ 😀
Looks delicious, I would add chopped Bell peppers and red chilli's to the mince, maybe a sprinkling of chilli flakes also.
Was about to add the same comment!!
I'm adding carrots to Lasagne and to Bolognaise as well.
I managed to reduce salt to zero level now (except cooking water for pasta).
many of those vitamins are heat sensitive. less cooking the better,
That's another recipe, use your own platform.
The little dance at the end! I would do the same thing! 😁 Can't wait to make this.
🤭 Hope you'll enjoy!😁❤️🥰
Love the recipe! I did add some celery, pepper and mushrooms to the sauté of onions and garlic. I also added 1 cup of heavy cream in lieu of the milk.
Thank you!
You're welcome!❤️🌸🤗 I'm glad that you like it!😁🥰
You modified the recipe that’s awesome. You do you. I added horseradish
Made this for dinner tonight, my family tore it up...no leftovers. Thank you for such a great recipe.
Uuff demasiado para cenar, una cremita d verduras o algo más ligero. Lo haré para comer😅😊
Was the bathroom tore up later too?
Serious question, did this taste like lasagna or did it have a unique flavor? Thinking about making it, but if it just tastes like lasagna, I'll just make lasagna. Please let me know. Thanks

Thank you for a brilliant recipe. I made this for my sons lunch at work and he actually told me I outdid myself. I added potatoes (not mashed) into the mince mixture and a tablespoon of ketchup. The result I have been told to make it again. Thank you.

The leek bechemel was unexpected, but very creative. Your friend from Spain clearly has spent time in Italy :) Thanks for sharing

THIS LOOKS FABULOUS, ...I'M gonna make this for sure. (Glasgow, Scotland, UK/GB)
Einfach nur ein Traum von einem Essen!!!!!
😁☺️🥰
My wife who is Dutch taught me a similar recipe with mashed potatoes instead of pasta. Leek and meat the same and lots of cheese on top, but this recipe looks amazing. Imma try it next time.
That's interesting, David! 😄 The mashed potatoes version sounds tasty too. I hope you enjoy trying this recipe 😊
I will be making this now looks so delicious
I only started watching because your beautiful hands and how busy you are. This recipe has inspired me to try making it. You made me happy and I am smiling right now.
Mashed potato is also ok but the cook takes a nap after that :) Greetings from Finland
Practically it's a British cottage pie.
Similar to lasagna I guess. It also looks like a variation of baked ziti. I love both! It looks delicious.
It’s proper name would be Pasta Al Forno ( pasta baked in an oven).
Luv the music no fuss or commentary (much thanks) and the recipe looks divine. I will definitely be making this on the weekend. Danke.
Thank you so much!❤️☺️🌸 Hope you enjoy!😁🥰😋
Oh my goodness…that looks wonderful. My sister and I LOVE any kind of pasta dish! I’m making this soon for her, my BIL and myself. Fresh homemade bread and some asparagus sounds good with this. Thanks for sharing. ❤

I'm going to make this on Tuesday! The bechamel with the leeks sounds amazing. You are such a clean cook. I ALWAYS make a mess when i cook.
This is amazing! I hope you will enjoy. And don't worry about the mess, cooking is fun! 😉

Oh so delicious looking!
Can't wait to try it for my family. I had an abundance of eggplants from the garden this summer so I may add a layer in. Thank you for the demonstration of your easy to follow style of cooking.❤
Thank you, Suzanne! Hope you enjoy!☺️😋❤️
Looks great and I would only change to olive oil vs. vegetable. I guess you can also use other types of pasta like macaroni or fusilli. Great video, very easy to follow!
Thank you!☺️❤️🌸 I'm very glad that you liked it!🤗🥰
I make this all the time and I just call it pasta bake. I use fusilli because the sauce gets into more places. I also mince the meat finer to prevent clumps. I add various vegetables depending on what I have.
Sounds delicious!☺️😁🌸
Well her version was delicious I made it…
Clever quick way of making lasagna. Looks good. Just no oil in pasta water. ❤❤
Thanks for the tip!☺️😁🌸

I call mine "Cheater Lasagne". I use my own spaghetti sauce layered with elbow macaroni and sharp cheddar. No bechemel sauce. I bake it in the oven at 350F for about 45 minutes or until the cheese on top is bubbling and golden. Super easy and a great way to use up leftover sauce.😊❤
Sounds delicious!😋🌷👍
@@KulinarischeMagie You're a wonderful sport. Please don't let others discourage you. I may not like cheese, however everyone else does, lol. Someday soon I hope to give this a try n I'll get back to you with no doubt rave feedback. Bless you! 😊
@@FemiNelson-sb1em Instead of cheese topping, you could reserve a bit of the bechamel sauce and add it to 2 egg whites beaten stiff. Fold them together - a whisk actually works better for not knocking out air- King Arthur proved it. Anyway and then bake that on top. It will deflate some but it rises up way over the edge of the casserole an inch or so but doesn't drip out. It is really pretty, and so delicious. This is more like a Greek Pasticcio than any Spanish dish I have ever seen and in some regions of Greece they do a soufflé topping instead of cheese. The leeks in this dish have to be amazingly delicious.
That is more like a baked ziti. Try it with the béchamel. It is amazingly good.
I agree 😉! it is more or less like the Italian Lasagna 😘❤❤
That looks absolutely delicious!! It is definitely a recipe I will cook when I have an oven. Right now I live in a small travel trailer, but one day soon, I will have a house with a regular oven. This will be one of my first recipes to cook. Thank you for sharing. 😊

If you change/add/ etc etc on someone else's platform, maybe get your own.
Nice. easy dinner found in lots of places. Had it as a kid in the US South in all its variations - with chicken, different cheeses, cream, different pastas. In Spain they use Spanish olive oil (the sweet, nutty kind), add red bell and frequently Manchego. Oh yeah, and top with Spanish olives. Perfect for cold weather blues.
It all sounds very tasty☺️😋🌸
Excellent preparation, excellent presentation and it looks very delicious. Thank you

This looks Bomb diggity. I'd be seasoning up the meat mixture really well. But yes this looks amazing.
The “key” to salting ground beef is, 1tsp per pound. Unless you were referring to “other spices”.☺️✌🏼
Absolutely, Stacy! Seasoning up that meat mixture well can really take this dish to the next level 🙌
This looks gorgeous, all that delicious cheesy topping and sauce, definitely going to try this.
Thank you, Diane! I'm so glad you like it. 🌷 😀
Truely a Spanish recipe!
My gradmother prepared that to me when a child❤❤❤❤

☺️🌷❤️
Looks yummy. I would brown the meat first then add the onions and garlic. I like the tasty brown bits in my mince
looks amazing. I'm definitely going to make this. Only change i might make is to use heavy cream, but it is certainly healthier this way. Blending the leaks into the reduced, flour and milk mixture is an absolutely brilliant concept! The great thing about a recipe like this is that you can go anywhere with it. You can add any kind of good pasta/lazagne veggie, sub out veggies for the meat, whatever. It's just a really strong base recipe that you can take anywhere. My wife loves lazagne with white sauce, she would definitely love this recipe.
Yes, it's healthier with heavy cream. Will be even more healthy if pasta is replaced with more meat.😊
That's another recipe, use your own platform
Why do you need to add heavy cream to this dish, it really is over egging the pudding. She already added two kinds of cheese to a sauce that has butter and milk and then cheese on tip.
In these traditional types of dishes you use herbs and spices to add flavour, dairy was a precious resource, cream would have gone to making butter, hence the use of milk.
It's seems to me that Americans dont know that sometimes less is more. I'm all for cooking with dairy but if you use to much it just makes a dish cloying rich.
If you are going to add heavy cream to the bechamel you need to reduce the amount of butter/flour otherwise it will end up quite greasy.
@@sallypenhalli cream is healthy and it will thicken up just as good.
Apart from the oil in the water,I wouldn’t change a thing looks delicious 😊thankyou❤
Thanks for the comment Tina ❤️ Indeed, it is not necessary to add oil to the water 🤗
@@KulinarischeMagieI always add oil to the water too. Drives my husband mad but I think it makes the pasta taste better😉
Oil in the pasta water coats the pasta, preventing it from soaking up too much of the sauce. So, depending on what you are trying to do, it could be okay to add it to the water. Tossing cooked pasta with butter does the same thing.
@@dalebailey754Fair point!! I think, for this dish, I would put oil in the water so the pasta DOEN’T absorb the sauce, and become “dry”. 🤔 ✌🏼
Adding Oil to pasta water is a personal preference to some but it does absolutely nothing whatsoever regarding the sauce. All true Italian Chefs absolutely detest that advice regarding oil and pasta.
Goruntusu kadar lezzetininde muhtesem oldugunu tagmin ediyorum..Eklerinize saglik...❤

My take away from this delicious recipe is the leek béchamel. IT has to be good. I'd personally make both sauces saucier prior to baking to leave more leeway combating el dente pasta soaking up all the sauce but looks like you nailed it. My family will love this.
try adding a couple bay leaves to that white sauce. takes it up a notch.
Yeah. I agree. Leek bechamel was a wonderful idea. I'm definitely going to make that for a number of different applications in the future.
Definitely wait until the last minute to mix the pasta with the Alfredo sauce. Mine was a little dry when I was layering it with the meat sauce.

I agree. It took me ages to transcribe the words. I love watching the videos but can't follow one to actually make the recipe. Looked so tasty though!!!
Made this last night. Pretty good. The leek cheese sauce was not as flavourful as I’d hoped despite well seasoning. Possibly a sharper cheese would help. Winner was a heavy layer of mozzarella and parm on top broiled for that perfect gooey crunchy cheese topping. Would make again with a few mods. Thanks for the share!

OMG 😱, this recipe is to die for 😋😋😋
Of course it is "to die for". Using seed oils (so-called 'vegetable' oils) will kill you. I can't believe that people are still too stupid to realise this; after all, the evidence is out there. Use healthy and nutritious animal fats (butter, ghee, lard, tallow, suet) instead.
Alan, everything is good in moderation. Don't underestimate other viewers. I respect everyone's opinion. Just be kinder 🌸
Thank you, Carol 🌷 your comment inspire me 🌟 😊
@@KulinarischeMagie Many things are good in moderation but seed oils are an exception. Recent research has revealed them to be a poison of the mitochondria, which is a direct root of inflammation, which in turn a direct cause of most modern diseases. Most people are unaware that these oils were first invented as industrial lubricants and it was Procter and Gamble who first decided to emulsify and bleach them to be sold as 'food'. They are used as nothing more than a driver of profit. Use natural fats instead as they are healthy.
