    Hi Helene! I am also a language teacher and was wondering whether your CZcams channel has ever been discovered by your students? And how did you deal with it?
    And as always, I have really enjoyed your video and been inspired to read new books!
    All the best from Austria x

    Interesting comment about reading mostly books from series. Banffy sounds interesting. Happy reading :0)

    ❣Hi, Helene, nice surprise after a nice long day! I ordered directly after your video the Hungarian classic and it will be there, when I'm home, all 3 books, second hand not too expensive. I've never heard of the author or the story. I love Bill Bryson very much, his writing is so uplifting, if I'm in a bad mood, I grab one of his books and he changed my mind every single time. Happy holiday reading, love, Monika❣

    Lovely little book haul Helene. I enjoy all of your videos, and I'm looking forward to hearing more about the comic book character books that you have bought. Enjoy!
    I just cannot read more than one book at a time, I often struggle to find reading time for a single book!

    After the last library clearance sale and some visits to Little Free Libraries and the library bookstore I'm already putting the brakes on new books coming in and am making more time for reading. Self-discipline: Argh! I recently acquired "Missing Mom" by Joyce Carol Oates, about dealing with the death of parent.---"Of Mice and Men": I agree, it's heartbreaking.---Helene, I have another recommendation for you for your class that reads surprise ending stories. It's another Shirley Jackson story called "Charles", one her humorous works that's not as well known as the scary ones but a lot of fun to read.

    I really loved Catwoman! I hope you enjoy. I didn't read Wonder Woman but, I did read Batman and thought it was good. Thank you for the video!

    I was a bit disappointed with Lethal White compared to the other books in the series of Cormaran Strike, but that might just be me since everyone else seems to like it! Hope you do too.

    Hi there Helene. How are you doing? Well, right now I am on chapter 4 of the Hunting for Jack the Ripper book which has been great to listen to. The narrator is perfect. I actually feel like Audrey Rose reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and Claire Fraiser from the Outlander series. I also picked up all of the Tana French series and the Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter from an audio library for the blind that I am a member of. I also did get all of the Robert Galbraith series on audible and I have all of the DC universe series. I will let you know what I think about them later, but thank you so much for recommending them to me. I hope that I will love them as much as you do. I may also try to squeeze in the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah E. Harkness too. See ya. Julie

    Hi, Helene. Might you loan a book from your local library to review it? I’d buy it for you from Amazon, but I don’t see an Amazon account under your name. The book is The Broom Of The System by David Foster Wallace. His first novel, written while he was in graduate school, is so well written and funny!

    On the D.C. Series, is it necessary to read the Bardugo's and Lu's first? Or is it possible to read them as standalones? I mean, if I start with the one by Maas, would I understand it? Thank you!

    • @helenejeppesen2133
      @helenejeppesen2133  Před 5 lety +1

      I think you can read them separately and start with the Maas book, but I wouldn't be able to tell for sure since I've only read WonderWoman...
