I just wanted to say that this podcast has really made me a fan of Bob. He just comes off like a really chill dude. This podcast often turns in to the Wood show a bit and Bob never seems to get frustrated with the interrupting or monologs, just seems like a really easy dude to deal with
Definitely agree even though I was already a fan of Bob. He understands Wood’s excited personality and they click because he’s the chill to Wood’s hype
Well, there is the show he does with his brother, which I can see makes him do "brotherly" things.

Ive always avoided woods content because I've never clicked with the guy but bob won me over. I don't always enjoy the show though and prefer the wulfden podcast.
Agree. Not a super fan of his content and I thought he was a grumpy guy but the more I listen to him on the podcast the more I "want to be friends" with the guy.

As an American who immigrated to the UK, this is an oddly similar story. Immigration is a minefield and expensive and anxiety inducing. It’s amazing to reach the end of the journey. Congratulations, Wood!
When I got my citizenship (originally from S. Korea), the questions they asked were easy for me because I went through the whole US education system but for my parents, they needed to do a lot of studying and they didn't think it was 100% easy. Also for our swearing in ceremony, a class of private school white kids came to the ceremony to watch.. which was strange.. made me feel like a spectacle
Take that one of two ways: A humbling experience for them, or a prideful experience for someone willing to do what it takes for a better and/or more enhanced future. They might take something from that, they might not. You can make the most of it yourself. From some white guy born in the Upper Midwest, welcome.
I think it’s hella interesting cause no one talks about about this. Around here ( Midwest) most people just say how much they don’t want people coming here. So it’s interesting to see how our system works when it does work in a good way
Honestly, I don't even care about Nintendo that much. I just like the dynamic between the 4 of you. I wouldn't even mind if you guys didn't talk about Nintendo through out an episode every now and then, and just hang out.

@@alexmitchell5339, Hi! I wonder why Skootish gets so much backlash in the CZcams comments, where he's a great addition to the show and blends in and complements Wood's and Bob's vibes considerably. Even so, there are over 30 bonus episodes at the time of writing, and for most of them, Wood and Bob fly solo.
Again, considering the negligible price tag of five bucks, you're not risking much, if anything, and will get a lot in return. Have a good one!

i would LOVE a bonus episode where you guys just talk about your coffee setups, dialing in your beans, what recipes/ratios/etc. you prefer, all of it. as someone whose career is in coffee, it's real neat to see those two worlds merge in that way 👍
Dudes don’t sleep on Kirby deluxe. It’s one of the best Kirby’s in the series. It’s my game of the year 2022. Played on original wii hardware. Great game
Congratulations! 🇺🇸 Being in immigration limbo, especially during COVID, was so incredibly stressful. It was such a relief when I finally got my permanent residency. Time for me to start studying for my upcoming citizenship too (and prepare to swear allegiance to the King…in French).
Congratulations on your citizenship Wood! I went through that same process back in 2016 (by myself though) and honestly, it's such a weight off your shoulders. I remember it was also super easy, when she saw that I basically grew up here in the US, she only asked me like 3 questions and then let me go. I was in the waiting room longer than in the interview 😂

It’s funny. My sister was adopted from India when she was 2 over 20 years ago. They changed some law where she had to do that citizenship ceremony thing a couple years ago even though the second she came over and was adopted by my parents at the time was considered a citizen.

@@batmabel didn’t finish it they usually prerecord them so after that video of him saying he wasn’t getting online at all I assumed this was a normal episode. I remember in one of the episodes them saying something along the lines of we have 4 more of these to record today and a couple of bonus shows so I figured they always did that when they got together since they don’t live super close together.

For my German husband $250 and a tree worth of paperwork for the initial citizenship, then a few years and more money and paperwork for the dual-citizenship, and we had to do the same for both of our kids too.

All i'd say having played only the beggining of it is that it plays/performs better than 3houses and also, the cutscenes were well animated... i just got my game this afternoon. It's just my initial feeling for the game...

What you're describing about GoW Ragnarok is weird to me. I haven't gotten the spear yet, but I think I'm pretty close to it (and btw if it's THE spear in Norse Mythology I'm thinking about, it's quite a big spoiler IMO).
EIther way I've seen playthroughs up to the point I am, and it seems to me the point you get the spear is roughly 2/3 of the story, and up until that part I think there were already open areas in each realm, I've already done plenty of side quests, so I'm not sure what you mean about the pacing not being good, I reckon Atreus in Ironwood was a bit slugish, but it does pay off as a major story development and a very chill and beautiful area.
To me so far it seems they've turned the big open area with all the realm towers in Midgard from the first game into smaller open areas divided by each realm, there are different side quests to be done in each of them, and they are keeping the gameplay fresh by changing the main character and companions, to me that's actually a pretty good build upon the first game, so I didn't feel bored at all. The thing that's pissing me off is the constant fighting between Atreus and Kratos, we've had enough of that in the first game, now it's just annoying. Also the fact we have the same weapons but we have to re-unlock ablities we already had is kind of a bummer.
Anyway I'm eager to reach the spear part and see how the game changes.
Wood and Alanah Pierce should do a vid together and compare immigration stories. Wood seems to be flying through the process where as poor Alanah’s situation has been a whole nightmare.

Potential God of War spoilers.
A lot of Ragnarok's side quests seem to open as you get to their physical trigger on the map. I explored as much as possible early on, so I had a ton of side quests done and 4 of the berserkers killed before I got the spear. So it might just be the way you played the game that prevented fun/difficult side questing early on.
I think the parts of the game where you're not in control of kratos are excellent examples of story telling through gameplay. It's a reflection of their relationship dynamic and isn't supposed to feel as good as when they are both present.
You 2 could be the new Cheech and Chong

With 3 houses if you’ve done blue plus one other road I think it would be sufficient. But you’ve done both of the others they are quite similar to each other but blu is significantly different and important

Hey congrats on the citizenship.
I’m actually a contractor for UCIS the agency that administrators the test and manages immigration.
I moves and maintenance files back and forth to storage and package for shipment to long term storage at national records center(NRC).
When you brought out that binder I wanted you hit you.
Internally we need to keep every file part under 3.5 inches before we start making new parts, and with physical media like wedding books you need the director of the field office to approve any transfer of material back to the applicant (this is a pain in the butt.).
I can also attest to the lack of common sense of people and a surprising level of boarder line fraud.
Also it sounds like you tested on a Friday, it can get really relaxed on Fridays.
