Marlena has been called out for not disclosing sponsorships and affiliate links according to FTC rules. She has blocked people on twitter for politely responding to her post moaning about this (she called it people creating drama, when they had really just mentioned it...). She does not declare affiliate links correctly (putting disclosures at the bottom of a v long description box, and after the links, sponsorships are not disclosed in audio of the video, just with the automatic banner, and sponsorships are only disclosed in the description box once you extend it (should be visible without extending the box). She's also been very rude and unpleasant to people about this. I deplore all of Jaclyn's actions and behaviour and do not support her in any way, but holding Marlena up as some kind of moral god is ridiculous.@@Abcdefghiiiiii

The only make-up reviewer & artist who managed to review the yellow shade was Skelotim, and yes, it flaked and he hated it, and compared it to the formula of Halsey's about:face color paints and the formula is much better, and at a right price because a little goes a long way, worth the watch

He’s probably doing drop shipping(I think that’s what it’s called). Where he doesn’t order from the manufacturer until he gets his orders from customers in. It takes weeks and atp it’s a preorder.

I want to take Jeffree and Shane’s launch into account. It was massive, and planned in 1 year. Jeffree literally shut down his other companies for more shipping and James hyped his up for literally years and the day it happens he’s like “oh I never thought it be this big”

I was gonna comment. I’ve bought from Jeffree on multiple launches, day of and have literally never waited 3 weeks. A week maybe but even then, usually it’s very fast turn around.
Yep my Jeffree products ALWAYS came on time if not earlier than expected & have been amazing. I own all of his eyeshadow pallets, highlights & concealers and have zero complaints 🤷🏻♀️ James eyeshadow pallet wasnt *terrible* but took forever also and these paints just remind me of a tacky knockoff of the about face face paints
There’s an Australian artist I enjoy who puts out t-shirts of his art. He does “pre-orders” which means he only makes what people order. So it takes time and he’s up-front with that. It’s always high quality screenprints. The shipping from AUSTRALIA is cheaper than I expected too (WAY LESS THAN $30!)
And I get the shirt in like a month. What is James doing 😭

This is really common. I’m an avid paper planner user and the company i got my planner from for next year did the same thing. And they’re very up front that it will take months for orders to ship (i ordered in July and planner are set to ship in October).

But unlike with debit cards, credit cards funds get returned to you immediately and interest gets refunded as well, if after the investigation they find out the dispute wasn't upheld they will charge your account for the amount again. With debit cards, you will not see your funds until *after* their investigation is concluded. So if someone charged their purchase on their debit card in this case, not only would they have waited over 20 days for a product that they still don't know an eta for they will now have to wait for an investigation. I suggest speaking with your bank/s to get more info on their dispute policies and procedures, though, since not every bank is the same. 🫶🏽

A friend ordered this for her daughter’s birthday party to use as face paint for the kids. She said she ended up having to wash the kids faces and flushing their eyes after all the kids were crying and complaining about “stuff” in their eyes. I warned her but she found out the hard way.

Yikes! 😬 There were reports early on that they used pigments that weren't eye safe, so perhaps this is an example of how serious it really can be. It's a sad situation because nobody should have to deal with make-up that could be potentially dangerous to the eyes! I hope no one had permanent damage. Poor kids!!😔

My bosses are the owners of a small business and if there's any problem (due to staff being sick or anything else) they'll do all the work by themselves untill it's done. They work in the stores, they pack the products, they deliver, they wash the dishes, they simply do everything to keep they're business running. James is posting on tiktok...yeah...

Now I get that new businesses usually have problems with their first launch but considering Jaclyn's infamous lipstick fiasco that James would have taken shipping and formula issues into account before launching.
Question to consider. Where were James's products produced? Are they possibly made at the same lab as Jaclyn's lipsticks? Wouldn't that be an interesting theory.🤔
@@kladies3021 Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, Jaclyn's lab was called out for multiple health code violations before and after her line came out and they were located near LA and James did say that the lab he used was near his home... In LA.

I think as long as she doesn't mention the lab's name or people's names who work there she can say what she wants.

JC is struggling to send the orders, because he had a small amount of product available, he needed the money from the customers in order to pay for the rest of the product needed, to fulfill his orders and cover the POs. There is no reasonable for an order to not be sent after 3 weeks...except if the product hasn't been made yet.
The responsible and professional thing to do in that situation, would’ve been pulling the yellow from the launch and maybe launching it with a restock of the remaining colors later on. Launching a product that still has formulation issues just weeks before the launch, is such a bad idea🤦🏼♀️

If you purchased them and if you have a mixing medium such as Duraline (from the brand Inglot) I suggest trying to mix duraline in the paints. I didn't purchase these paints myself and haven't tried this out, but just knowing that Duraline can basically revive anything, maybe it also can save the paints and your money.
