@@outlawcamaro4044 the A8 shudder is caused by the trans fluid holding moisture. Just had to have my A8 GMC Sierra get the fluid flush and it cured everything. I definitely wouldn't go with the a8, so far I haven't heard anything bad with the s10 except in a 1/4 they are a bit slower the the a8 due to shift points. I love a manual over a auto definitely since I'm into road course racing.

My 2019 6 speed manual Camaro has been a nightmare. Problems starting at 5700 miles. Clutch clunking, transmission rattling, high revving, pulls, hard to get into 2nd gear, vibrates and now feels like you are riding in a hay wagon. Rear wheels feel like they grab. Sometimes from 2nd to 3rd upon acceleration the engine cuts out then lunges forward. It gets worse after driving 10 miles or more at freeway speed. Chevy says this is normal Camaro operation. As long as they say nothing is wrong (except all they want to do is an alignment- 3 times in 2 months- print out shows it did not need but they charged me)it does not even qualify as a lemon, even though it's been in the shop over 10 times. now at only 12K miles. Even AAMCO says there is something loose in the Transmission. But no repair shop will look at it because it's under warranty. I'm at my wits end.
You can’t touch 1st unless at a complete stop??? WHAT? Dude you are NOT supposed to touch 1st EVER unless you are at stop! Do you understand that, it’s the most delicate gear in the fucking transmission, you should NEVER down shift to one while moving forward...I have been driving manual transmission cars over 30 years, 20 years tracking race cars NEVER once I shift in to 1st unless at full stop to move forward. Are you crazy? No wonder you destroyed that perfectly fine transmission...that car doesn’t need new transmission, it needs NEW driver. I don’t know who thought you how to drive a manual, but please for next transmission’s sake go learn how to properly drive a manual. I am very serious. And if you don’t know how to heel & toe down shifting, please remember to turn on your auto REV Match it’s designed to protect the transmission but even that won’t help u if u slam from 2 to 1st 🥶🥶🥶
Year later... Lol. Yeah I know how to heel toe. I don't ever use rev match cause I know how to drive. Also I said first gear dont work unless at a complete stop and it still doesn't work. Never have I ever had to take 2min slowly slowly trying to slide it into first gear with clutch to the floor and nothing but grinding. But thanks for the class dad.

This is a common problem that a lot of people have with manual transmissions. I am a professional driver who has never owned an automatic (I despise them!) and never have this problem. I drive my cars into high miles, and have NEVER had to service or replace a manual transmission. I have had Z28 cars, and my last car was a 99 Firebird. In my video "Shift a 6 speed manual transmission like a pro" I show people how you can shift any gear up or down with two fingers and have your transmission last the life of the car. Hint: GM and Tremec can not help you because they are NOT manual transmission enthusiasts. Their daily driver is an automatic, and they just wish guys would stop asking for manual cars. For these guys manuals are a pain. Why do you think you can not even get a new pick up truck with a stick, or even a new Vette with a stick? You can keep destroying manuals....or I can help you shift like a pro. Your choice....

@@outlawcamaro4044 the A8 shudder is caused by the trans fluid holding moisture. Just had to have my A8 GMC Sierra get the fluid flush and it cured everything. Mine is also supercharged and has over 10k miles of towing loads between 5-9k lbs. The ones that needed converters are ones that were ignored for quite a while before resolving the issue.
I have a 2018 manual 4 cyl turbo, 58,300 mi, gears just messed up, gear shift in each gear now swings left & right, almost as wide as being in neutral. Is this the same thing? Just happened Monday.
In yours it's those rubber bushings in the shifter that are gone...same in my 4 banger Camaro but I still drive it like it is.
Wow! I'm thinking of buying a 2017 2.0 turbo manual 15,000 mil hmmm
Never had this happen Sometimes if you ran it with the skip shift activated it will break shit. That's usually the start
Good info... would this be a good enough reason to go automatic? Don’t get me wrong manual is a lot more fun, but since the 10 spd auto is faster I’ve been debating what would be best.
I definitely wouldn't go with the a8, so far I haven't heard anything bad with the s10 except in a 1/4 they are a bit slower the the a8 due to shift points. I love a manual over a auto definitely since I'm into road course racing.
I am having the same problem with my 2018 camaro ss and i am unable to duplicate the issue. every dealer is telling me its normal 😱
Definitely not normal.
Any technical service bulletins on this problem?
That I do not know. Whenever I get the time I will post my invoice number and the dealer that did the work
Thanks
Did you find it?
My car is a 2017 camaro ss 1le with 15000 miles on it
I would definitely take it to the dealer and have it looked at
@@outlawcamaro4044 I just got a 17 2ss 50th edition had 9700 miles and now 12000. It doesn't have issues with shifting but when I engage my clutch under load sometimes I hear a clicking or clunking that I'm not fond of. should I take it in? Been questioning it for awhile but no one else seems to hear it but me. I'm not sure what it is, Guess it could be my release bearing but it could just be that I'm not used to a dual disk clutch. Idk
Dang such a beauty sad to see it with problems, is your camaro a V6 or V8
V8
@outlaw camaro
Please share your case number with us because the dealers here in south florida calling it normal. Please
I have same problem. Its moved on to more gears. Cant touch 1st unless at a complete stop and slowly put it in gear. Dealer: "thats normal"
Yea definitely not normal. Gm knows that there is a problem and they're trying there hards to not fix it.
@@therealfeedmetal No problem son I apologize I came on too strong it’s just that I get worried so many people trash these manuals due to “inexperience” and then they complain and then these auto makers stop making them, we all loose at the end. OK then you are FINE 👍 it seems like you ended up with a defective transmission. Hope you get it it sorted out, SS 1LEs are built bullet proof.
@@trackeagle6013 I ended up just getting rid of it after GM installed a brand new motor. Cruising down the hwy at 120kph and boom. Piston out each side of the block 🤦♂️ lol. She gone
Fuck I was trying to buy a 2019 6 speed manual );
Don't
First sign is it’s a Chevy.
Modern gen muscle cars are shit.
