    How To No Lift Shift Any 6th Gen Camaro 2017-2023 Chevy Camaro | First Time Manual Driver MASTERED IT
    To perform a No-lift Shift, simply put the throttle to the floor (i.e. WOT), and keep it there. Once the tachometer reaches the enable RPM, you can depress the clutch and shift as quickly as you can, and you’ll notice the tach will go to your target RPM during the shift.
    No Lift Shift (NLS) is a General Motors propulsion technology for cars with manual transmissions that allows the driver to keep the gas pedal to the floor while upshifting. To do so, NLS manages torque during wide-open-throttle acceleration to allow for a “flat-footed” upshift.

    Put the car in sport or track and quickly press the traction control button twice and watch your drivers cluster, it will say competitive mode activated if you did it right. This will leave on stability ac and traction control unless you turn it off by tapping it once to turn off traction control and then holding it down to fully take off stabilitrack( not recommended for novice) it let's your car fully unlock all the power it has to the rear wheels. Also competitive mode enables launch control. Press in the clutch, put it in first, push the throttle all the way down and let the clutch out fast, then proceed to no lift shift with your new knowledge lol 😂 now you can really have some good pulls as long as you got decent tires. Be safe bro (I got a 2020 1le as well)

    I found out why it makes the “weird noise” you described in the vid. So apparently, when the gas pedal and clutch are pushed down at the same time, instead of the RPMs shooting up (like on manuals without this feature) there’s a delay in ignition timing and the excess energy is expelled through the exhaust system. That is the sound that we hear. So instead of panicking when we hear it, it can be like music to our ears😅

    I've heard claims that you can actually go faster without no lift shifting (if you're experienced and really quick with your shifts) since the car cuts timing with the NLS feature. I personally use it when racing or whatever, and it definitely results in pretty quick shifts. People generally think I shift pretty well, but a lot of that is NLS. I took my manual LT1 to the drag strip recently, didn't do too bad at all for the heat and humidity. Other stock Mustangs and Camaros were running similar times. NLS definitely will help those who might not shift the quickest, drop their times by a tenth or two.

I know for a FACT that the base suspension Camaro is a better handler than the base Mustang GT (don't know about the 2024) and base Challenger V8 and if I want it to improve it would be just by upgrading the tires to a stickier, sportier one.

    I used to call it power shifting, you shift under power. Back in the day, I would no lift shift ever manual trans I’ve ever driven. It’s only bad if you miss a gear. People have been doing this way before Gm made it part of the programming in the ecu.

    • @BLUPRINT1LE
      @BLUPRINT1LE  Před 2 lety +3

      I heard that terminology before too! I usually miss the shift from 2-3 so I’m practicing that part but 3-4 I feel like I got it but since you said I am under power I need to keep working on it! I assume all cars are the same right where you keep gas down and then clutch before it was programmed in the ECU?

    • @matt6951
      @matt6951 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BLUPRINT1LE yup, just kick the clutch and slam them gears.

    • @ll.7927
      @ll.7927 Před 2 lety +1

      It’s called no lift shift now because cars would lock u out of gear or limit throttle while clutch is pressed down. Old cars didn’t have that tech so u was able to do it
