In our series of iconic beauty looks, makeup artist Mary Greenwell updates the classic sixties style of bold eyes and a nude mouth using Chanel.
As with all of Mary’s other iconic creations, the key to making this bold look wearable rather than theatrical is to create a sheer, luminous base that glows from within. As for that instantly recognisable eye with the defined socket line and exaggerated lashes, Mary uses just one black mascara and a black eyeliner to create a fresh, pared down version of the original, heavier look.

Wow, the model is absolutely gorgeous.
This model has such a happy face, even when she's not smiling. She does look a lot like Twiggy here. While I'd love to see older models, for this more editorial look, I thought this darling girl was perfect.
This model is just lovely. I love every video she's in!
She's an angel
this model is now on the burberry campaign go on girl... so prettyyyy
She’s also the actor in my favorite show
@@User-tu6hi What show?
Great video! Mary is so talented and the model is lovely, I also love the shots where you can see glimpses of what goes on behind the scenes
That model is so gorgeous n hav a really good smiling face...gotta give a thumbs up
Brilliant way of applying masara i had never seen beforex
The model looks very much like Kate Hudson at the end with the whole look completed. Very fabulous, Mary. Really hoping there's a 70s look coming soon. :)
I love the works and makeup styles by Mary she is the best !!
I dont want to update the 60s Mod look I want to HAVE IT!
GO BIG OR GO HOME
Maybe you're a purist. And there's nothing wrong with that. But most people may not be so comfortable wearing a historically accurate look because it might make them look too theatrical. So this makes it more wearable.
YAS
I just love all of Mary's videos! Thank you.
I tried to do this and turned out looking completely insane. Mary is amazing!
Mary, you are so incredibly stylish!
Hannah is adorable
Damn these videos are sooo much better then all the self absorbed MUA drag queen make up tutorials all over youtube!
Thank you so much for this great tutorial! Mary is as always amazing!
Amazing. Thanks GTG and Mary.
So cool. Really neat look.
Beautiful! Love it!
Awesome!
Fabulous! x
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice
I love that she said she loved straight lashes. Why? Because I feel exactly the same way! If you look at animals that have beautiful eyes like deer, gazelles, giraffes, or camels, their lashes are straight and go down. Chinese babies also have this and it looks so cute and addams to the prettiness. I have naturally curly lashes but my sis has straight ones...never bothers to curl them with mascara, and it looks better like that.
reminds me of mia wasikowska with the beauty mark
I think I would use false lashes on the bottom only just because I'm useless with eyeliner and lazy I guess. Love the look and that dress.
Where is the model's dress from?
👍👍👍👍👍
What does the blanc de blanc do?
it's an illuminating primer.
I prefer with MATTE LIPSTICK!

Love Mary's style. However, it would be great if you used models that are past the age of 15 years old.
❤😘🌹🍵
A fellow Brit voice? I nearly fell off my chair.
c'est palot tout ca et j'aime pas la ligne noire tracée au dessus de la paupiere,ca fait chelou
She looks like Kate Hudson alot
Glad to hear her say the area arond the eyes are so fragile and shouldn't be pulled, all while she basiclly drove over the girl's face in the previous video.
Going back through the Mary playlist and I love her SO. MUCH. But what's up with al the models looking 12 years old? It's a bit odd. Is this channel meant for a super young audience?
I think Twiggy is best left in the 60s.
My mom would be appalled: she is so against more than minimal makeup. I think it's a party look, and as such it looks cool, bold and yet pretty enough. But it's a perfect embodiment of what my mom hates in makeup )
Who cares?
