First Mary rehydrates Sian’s lips using CHANEL Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care - this is one of Mary’s personal favourites.
Next Mary moves onto the skin care - she primes the skin using CHANEL Hydra Beauty Lotion Very Moist
bit.ly/29nFgNe which really nourishes and plumps the skin. Mary then uses the CHANEL Hydra Beauty Gel Yeux, bit.ly/29tQuCh explaining that the skin around our eyes is much more fragile than the skin on the rest of our face so it’s important to use specialist care here. It will also help prevent wrinkles she says.
Next Mary moves on to sun protection and applies CHANEL UV Essentiel Multi Protection Daily Defender UV Pollution SPF30 bit.ly/29wknDt which she blends into a smooth finish. She uses it as a primer and sun protection in one. The next product she then uses to even out Sian’s skintone is CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation in 30, bit.ly/29lxHuB which she takes subtly down the neck.
Mary uses a much paler concealer around the eyes than you would think possible. She uses CHANEL Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer bit.ly/29xj9r8 and pats it in with her fingers, tapping off the excess on the back of her hand. This has the effect of lifting the whole eye area.
Mary then moves onto the eyemakeup, and first uses the palest shade from CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Multi-effects Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Dimensions bit.ly/29qC8Rk under the brow bone to open up the eye so she can see what the eye needs next. Mary then uses the pale pink shade on the inside of the lid, before using CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof long-lasting eyeliner in Purple Choc bit.ly/29kcHiN as definition on the top lashline. Next Mary uses the warm metal shade on the middle of the upper lid, keeping the colour low to the lashes and brushing it outwards to emphasise the almond shape. Mary then uses the aubergine eyeshadow close to the lashes on the outer edges of the upper lid, sweeping it out to the sides. She then adds CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre in Griffith Green to add a touch of peacock colour. Finally Mary extends the outside of the eye using CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof long-lasting eyeliner in Noir bit.ly/29kcHiN
Next Mary applies Le Volume Ultra Noir de CHANEL Mascara in Noir Kôhl bit.ly/29jRDrG for intensely black lashes (pushing it into the roots) before deciding to boost the intensity of the eyes using the above aubergine pencil. This elongates and defines the eye, yet keeps it soft.
Mary then fills in the brows using CHANEL Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel bit.ly/29nItfV, extending them as she goes.
As for finishing the skin, Mary applies CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi Colour in Duo no.2 Pink bit.ly/29pVUfubit.ly/29pVU, using the pale, shimmer shade to highlight cheekbones and the pink to add a slight flush to the cheek. She then uses a foundation brush and CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder SPF 15 /PA++ in 40 bit.ly/29nrtss to knock back the shine around the nose.
Finally Mary uses a coral lipliner - CHANEL Le Crayon Lèvres Precision Lip Definer in Rouge Candy bit.ly/29hJvZn - to fill the lips in slightly before using CHANEL Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Arthur bit.ly/29tTjmH. Finally she adds CHANEL Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Chêne Rouge 212 bit.ly/29kdyQk which adds a bright red shine for added summer zing.

The sweeping motion of the shadows created such a beautiful cat-eye effect without resorting to the kitten-flick that is becoming overdone by all makeup amateurs. This is why Mary is such a pro. Her hands are like an artist working on a beautiful sculpture. Model looks stunning!
I am probably late but this model is absolutely naturally gorgeous!
Sanna Benba she really is. she has a channel as well
who is she??
Quixotic sian lilly
This is what a true make up artist is!
She created a masterpiece, a work of art only with her fingers and one brush which was flat(!) and with one simple palette with only four colors!
It was not like 'for this I'm gonna use this brush, for that I'm gonna use this brush, etc...'
She didn't transform her into another person, on the contrary, before and after make up, you can see that this is the same beautiful, gorgeous girl, but the accent was on her skin and on her eyes.
This is a true artistry.
Thank you Mary for inspiring women of all age with your art and your magic.
Sending much love
Here, here :) She's a true genius
The model is so beautiful. Im in awe
This video couldn't have been more perfectly tailored to me unless Mary was actually doing MY makeup. Which would be awesome, but I'll take this instead. Thanks, Get the Gloss and Mary, for showing makeup on mixed faces, almond eyes, darker skin tones!!!
Mary, could you do a look on someone with a very deep skin tone? I have difficulty finding just the right products for my lovely deep skin toned clients. Also, touch on contouring a very deep skin tone. Thank you!!
Try very dark cool toned brown shades. Something almost like a black-brown, essentially. If the client is extremely dark, you can even use black eyeshadow with a light hand.
Mary, you are Ace! But I would also like to give a credit to your beautiful model with incredible eyes.
true!
Leave it to Mary to always provide you with tons of makeup inspiration! Her looks are the epitome of elegance.
How come it looks like Mary is slapping her face around whilst making it so damn beautiful! What a genius!
This always CRACKS ME UP--they call it the "Mary Pummel" in her video for hooded eyes☺
Beautiful model. Her eyes look stunning! I have almond shaped eyes and similar coloring. Alas, over 50, I do not use shimmer shadows much. Please do a mature almond eye.
Please do a look on monolid or smaller eyes!
Yessss more mary greenwell!!
Mary you are divine. The REAL make up artist.
I would love to see her work on a deeper complexion woman
Good idea
As It's been reloaded I'm just going to ask again if you could please do a video for round eyes as there's hardly any out there xxx
I love Mary and her crazy pink hair ❤
Gosh, Mary Greenwell has the magic touch!!!!
Sian lily is absolutely stunning❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this! Watching this, I truly understand there is an artistry to make up when it's done properly. Some other people seem to be make-by-numbers but this is beautiful! I love the way Mary says that she tries to "understand" the brow(singular not plural) and the shape of the mouth!
Mary your work is stunning. I've learned so much watching your videos!
This woman is the real deal! truly inspirational, the best and most charming make up artist. I love you Mary!
I LOVE YOU Mary Greenwell
Please more from Mary on women of warmer/deeper complexions. A tutorial on Indian features would be fantastic. Thanks.
Hi Mary , could you please do a tutorial on how to make a deep set eyes not so deep?!?
Sian Lilly!
everything is gorgeous on this look. just love it, thank you mary! xx
Wonderful! More videos with Mary please!
Mary you are as true artist! Beautiful, effortless make up. Absolute perfection.
Gorgeous makeup I totally wont be able to recreate that nicely. I shall try, though; I shall try.
Can't wait for other videos Mary!
Became such a fan of Sian after seeing this and come back to watch as I have almond eyes--thank you!
Amazing work! Just in love ❤️
amazing colours - amazing technique using fingers
She is a natural beauty. I love your touch, when you are doing makeup. It is unique. Love your hair! ♥
the eyeshadows are só gorgeous and Mary is simply fantastic.
Mary you are amazing! You make it look so effortless
that eye makeup is just gorgeous!!
Though I'm happy to see variation in skin tone, this model would be considered fairer skinned amongst other women of color. Where are darker skinned, Black models? Where are dark skinned Indian models? Mary Greenwell is a legend. I just wish that more women of color with varying skin tones, especially a variation of dark skin, were represented. We make up more than half the global population, surely one could be found.
Beautiful way of making up the eyes :)
Mary is just the best!!
Thank you I love what you've done in this video. I'm going to try it out tommorow with a cat eye done in liquid eyeliner.
Mary is just amazing
Love Mary so much! Watched all her videos!
Love Mary Greenwell, I learned so much from this tutorial. Would love to see a similar tutorial for office makeup. Again thank you for THE great tutorial! Daphne a fan, THE Netherlands
Love this so much!
thank you very much for your video and sharing your experience, knowledge 🙏🤍🤍🤍
that model is so gorgeous 🙏💓
The model is gorgeous!
I would love to see a video on round/down turned eyes!
I would love to see a video where Mary spoke about how to cover serious dark circles xx
Abi Smith
I get the impression that a lot of that is taken care of with all the moisture products she uses before the foundations.
colour correcting plus concealer. Make sure you use colour corrector very very sparingly so that you don’t have to pile on concealer to cover up the excess correcter
I love watching your beautiful mesmerizing works, they are Always breathtakingly fantastic
So unbelievably beautiful!
Beautiful
Beautiful, as usual!
I would love to see a look for dark hair with fair skin and eyes. Because of my dark brows and hair, my eyes seem to disappear into my complexion. help!
I would love to see you put makeup on Asian models. :)
Who knows is the model is Filipina or Polynesian? Instead of just saying "Asian models" learn who this model is before just assuming she isn't Asian.
Shes so beautiful
Dearest Mary, thank you so much for this video! I learnt so much from it and grew great inspiration from it. You truly are an artist who seeks to beautify those you work on. I was wondering if you could teach us how to do eye makeup on someone with protruding eyes. There are so few makeup tutorials on youtube for people with eyes like that :)
favorite makeup artist to watch do makeup hands down :)
nice makeup! ❤ mary, is it a good idea to take highlighter with oily skin? cause of the oil there is already enough shine and looks weird with highlighter
the model is stunning
Any idea what the background music is called? its just as beautiful as the content and people in the video.
Beautiful - thanks for creating this :) Mary: though it evidently wasn't necessary on this model, having watched all of your series with get the gloss to date, I don't think I've ever seen you use a colour correcter under the eyes - only an illuminating concealer. Is that a matter of chance, or do you not favour using colour correcters? Having dark circles, I would love to know your thoughts on this how to treat discolouration around the eyes. Thanks.
Mary Understands Color!!!! Not just in this one, she's not afraid,
Ahh I love when olive skin represented
You're amazing Mary
When will the next episode be posted?
You do such beautiful work..love watching and wishing I could do the same. lol
Reminds me of Catherine Zeta Jones look. Stunning. Do you take apprentice or give classes in London ?
What is the eye gel used
Please do a look on round eyes!! Im struggling
Finally some useful techniques I can use for my hooded, almond eyes. Except I can't use a shimmer highlight on the browbone but hey 😉
Can I achieve this almond shape eye makeup look on my hooded eyes?
Wow ❤
I would love to see how to give definition to a face with a very deep skintone
I am quite pale with freckles. I have a funny relationship with my freckles, I do like them but I feel like I will never look like I have flawless skin because of them (even if my skin is in good condition) I'd love to learn how to do make up that smooths and evens my skin tone, but doesn't mask freckles.
she is so pretty it hurts
I've got round eyes and I really dislike them because its hard to make them look sultry, please do a sexy eye makeup for round eyes type video
have you done a look on someone with acne? would be nice to see a look done on someone who doesn't already have flawless skin! Love your work!
Lisa Eldridge has a tutorial on putting foundation on skin with acne. It is amazing!
Mary and team Get The Gloss, I am ready to buy a thousand Chanel Products if Mary shows us how to lift and perfect a blemished faced with strong under-eye circle )not only dark but also deep). Many thanks!
Mary Green I would love to see how you do your eye make up. Looks great. I need older models please.
Wow marry doing great job I'm fan of your work
Please take me as your make up model
Asian beauty
Lily sian 💗
Wow🔥
Mary "magician" Greenwell
SIAN LILYYYYYYYY GIRL
Mary, you are a painter, with brushes or with your hands...beautiful makeup
The model is gorgeous!!!!!! Cxxxx
Could a model with OLIVE skin be made up to show a different use of colors, to give the skin some flush.
i just saw Sian Lilly so thats why i'm here
You re-uploaded this because people were whining about the "offensive" words used in the first video? this one is edited differently but I'm happy you put it back :) it's a beautiful makeup look.
I watched this video when it was first uploaded, but I haven't noticed anything offensive. What were they whining about?
I don't know as a fact, but I think it was because the words "asian" and "oriental" were used, some people find that use derogatory.
+mofetabionica Thank you for explanation. It seems to me that nowadays people tend to get offended for no reason at all, when no offense intended🤔
Yes, I agree
+Katya Perrotta well I think because Sian is St. Lucian not Asian & as a mixed-race black Indian person I think because Asia is so big & so diverse some people can get offended, I'm not one of those people ❤️😊
SIAN LILLY!!!
I would love to see a video for people who wear glasses? Xxxxx
is this @SianLily??? OMMMMMLLLL
This is the first tutorial that make me understand how to do eye shadow placement that won't make me look like being punched. I have asian eyes so most western methods on eye shadow don't fit me.
So true. I have small eyes that are also almond shaped. This is very useful
I know the model, she's a youtuber! She's SIAN LILLY! check her out haha she really is pretty
Isn't the model a youtuber?
Fantaisatou Gai yep! Sian Lilly
I love how she saids "beautiful pale skin" to this model LOL really???
i hate my eyes since their almond shape but appear close to asian eyes
I love this video, but the chanel product placements are just annoying. I usually buy high end make up, but chanel is just overpriced, I mean, look at that not covering lipstick.
To me it feels the lips and eyes are competing as they both are very dramatic.
Could you please do a mixed girl with Mila Kunis eyes?
What I would give to have my face massaged by her
