Great overview! The only thing I’d like to see added in most of the videos I see from real estate agents is the quality of the schools. It is hit or miss in Woodstock, but absolutely stellar in Alpharetta and Milton. This is huge part of the moving decision for families. Other than that, your video was very helpful! 💕
Woodstock has totally lost its small town charm. With that being said I couldn’t think of a better place to live in metro Atlanta. If your job is in midtown the commute isn’t too miserable just consider getting a peach pass to skip most of the traffic.I used to commute to buckhead from Woodstock and spent 31 days in traffic over the course of a year (not an exaggeration). The growth here was pretty poorly planned from an infrastructure perspective. Having lived downtown for years, we all saw this coming but the city is finally taking steps to facilitate the growth. Bit of a rant but hope this helps anybody out.
Totally agree! A lot of these smaller towns have had unprecedented growth and not the best city planning for management of traffic and infrastructure. They definitely put the cart before the horse and thankfully they are catching up! Thanks for watching.
Yeah….I lived in Roswell in 1989-1992. Woodstock was a dumpster fire we avoided. Never saw so many wife beaters and babies wearing just a diaper. The good old days, huh? That being said, I know all of these areas have been improved and I’m considering moving there. It’s going to take a lot to make me consider it. Comments like yours give me hope
Is Georgia still primarily a conservative State? I live in California and I'm considering moving but I absolutely will NOT live in a town, city or state run by democrats, I'm done with it. No offense to anyone but you try putting up with Gavin Newsom for a few years and then come talk to me.
Well, you can definitely look at the most recent polling data to help guide you where to look in Georgia. There are definitely blue areas and most of those are centralized around the inner perimeter of Atlanta.
We have had a Republican governor for about the last 20 years that I know of. We have 2 democrat senators and I have no idea what people were thinking with voting democrat. It's mostly people around Atlanta which is in Fulton County. Hopefully that will change soon with the 2 candidates having a run off election for the Georgia senate
It’s Atlanta that creating democracy. That why we turn blues… because of Atlanta. Needles to say Georgia are usually republicans, but because of Atlanta that why we are democrats. That why we turn blue for the first time ever. You can blame Atlanta for that.
I'm from Woodstock, lived and grew up here since the early 70's. You cant hardly get around here anymore because of the traffic. Saying it's a little bit over developed in this video is a huge understatement. They can't seem to get enough with building new buildings while taking away a lot of things that locals, including myself enjoyed here. Every time I ride around the area, it seems they're building something where I never dreamed they would be building and the traffic has already been bad enough around certain areas for the past 25 years. They just can't seem to get enough with building. If you go through downtown, it takes forever because you have to stop a lot and drive probably no more than 5 mph when your able to move. It takes at least twice as long to get somewhere around here anymore and at least 3 or 4 times as long if you don't dodge downtown. Surrounding towns are building a lot also and causing traffic. Boat ramps and areas around Lake Allattoona get so crowded that they have to turn people away sometimes and the lake also has too many boats in the water at times which causes very unsafe and dangerous situations just waiting to happen. Parking lots for department stores and other stores get too full at times so you can't find a place to park. One positive thing I can about Woodstock is some money hungry people have not been able to buy Dixie Speedway which is a 3/8 mile red clay racing oval that has races about every Saturday night when racing season normally begins in May and ends in October, So if anyone decides to move here, don't complain about hearing loud race cars every Saturday night because more than likely, that race track has been here long before your house. The city of Woodstock has already placed an ordinance for them not being able to race past midnight, which causes them having to cut certain races short sometimes an not be able to have bigger races as they once did. So you may want to consider moving to another area if you don't want to hear race cars or attend the races every Saturday night during the months that I mentioned above
Woodstocks 600 space new parking garage and boutique hotel being constructed in the centre and an expansion of the commercial sector will change the very fabric of Woodstocks small town quaintness.
I grew up and have lived in Woodstock for about 45 years. They can't seem to get enough with building which has caused way to much traffic and overcrowding. Places I never dreamed where they would be building gets swallowed up

It’s mainly all white county, very small portions of blacks but really in all in all it’s all white peoples county. In facts in Woodstock schools you see majority of the students are white but very small portions of blacks. Majority of the teachers and staff in schools are all white, very little of blacks. Needless to say that she is right! Woodstock is not diverse at all

All the teachers are white, very little blacks and heck it’s even rare to see Hispanic staff in Woodstock schools or in Woodstock at all. We have very little of Hispanics. Needless to say Woodstock is extremely less diverse

Yep, same with most little towns all over north ga, our beautiful is now California and the northeasterners new home that they are ruining.
Only real thing there is the football rivalry between Woodstock and Etowah high school. Take them to the woodshed.
