- Dawsonville, Georgia has seen huge growth over the last few years... why is that? Well, the great shopping, proximity to both the lake and the mountains, and the fact that your money stretches a lot farther than may other North Georgia towns are huge factors in this.

Our neighbors down the street in Alpharetta near the City Center are moving to Dawsonville. Then there's the Southern folk artist... Wild Jill from Dawsonville. Mary Jane at Matildas on Highway 9 used to sell her artwork in her gallery.

Related to grocery shopping, Aldi and Lidl are a huge plus related to getting a great deal. Not sure if they have Aldi or Lidl up in Dawsonville.
They don’t have an Aldi’s yet but I’m sure it must be coming.
what is base price for homes? property taxes? medical care? public libry. near by?

I visited recently and it's really peaceful. My only issue is poor cellphone/WiFi connections.
Hmm, you might have to switch to a different carrier and of course, if you were closer to Dahlonega, in the mountain areas, that may be a different case. I haven’t heard experienced any issues. Thank you for watching!
I have property on the border of Lumkin/Dahlonega and Dawsonville and I have little to no phone service,…and I actually think that is a bonus…as it forces me to find other ways of entertainment, I.e., usually outside. Just sharing…

Realtors encourage the destruction of small towns in Georgia so they can make a buck
Dawsonville is destroyed. Like the rest of GA is being finished off at record speed because people from the northern states can’t stand living there anymore - including Florida. So they’ll do the same to GA by running the cost of living up till they have to pack up and go build a new town somewhere else- probably in the south But the locals lose. Even though some native Georgians get rich, others can’t keep up with the rising prices in their own hometowns. It inflicts tremendous harm on more poor Georgians and should be stopped
We moved to Dawsonville in 2018 from Peachtree Corners. I have been in Georgia since 19 84 living in Atlanta then other place in the Metro area The people in Dawsonville are absolutely the Soul of the city and some of the best people I have ever known. I am in the downtown area the original city and the birthplace of NASCAR. Particularly when the weather is nice Atlanta heads north on 400 to the vineyards and beautiful Mountains My neighbors home was built in the 1800's the Moonshine Distillery closed at end of Dec.22 . But you mentioned Freddys directly behind that is a awesome Mexican restaurant and my favorite Brooklyn Joes a family restaurant Sports Bar with some incredible pizza and sandwiches etc. Thank for talking up our Town and remind anyone that moves here,Be Nice that what Dawsonville is about. ⛷
