Phew! Another set of videos my car isn’t in. Result👍.

For those who don't know, Bradford is probably the bad driving capital of the UK. It also has the most uninsured drivers. There's also a lovely tradition of people getting family members to take their driving tests for them. Avoid.
I think those people have 'protected category' status, authorities won't touch them.
As someone who lives there I can confirm this statement to be 100% accurate
I didnt have time to reply so i got a family member to make this comment
God I remember those roadworks and the huge tailbacks it caused. And the kn*bheads in VW Golfs with their stupid popcorn mods abusing the mini-roundabout further back too.
For someone who's recently moved just outside Bradford. Yes I agree.
"Hi Ma". Love it and handled like the pro he is.
Highway Maintenance drivers: All cowboys.
100% agree
I've been driving hgv for 25 years! I've yet to see one highway maintenance vehicle drive in a safe manner!!
#2 was such a none event, why even send it in.
#4 also.
At least it highlighted the stupidity of moving into a lane adjacent to another vehicle. Always do that well in front or behind.
I'd always drive the extra 50 yards to get past the artic on the inside lane to avoid exactly what happened in no.2. There's no need to pull in so quickly up the side of something that size.
At least they both handled it well
@@dtfhhn I thought #4 was interesting. That was a very small set of temporary lights and the traffic was free flowing, so those cars had no excuse to keep going through on red.
Educational?
#4 The issue here is you need to then wait for the the lights to go green again otherwise you end up in a red light jumping war.
Although they are right with the last statement, seeing that many run through suggests there might be a timing fault, especially given the cammer has green for barely 10 seconds. Temporary lights rarely change that fast
@@zbf5h89ftbIf you believe that you'll believe in Santa. More likely a case of following the car in front and not looking. Seen it many times, one goes, they all go.
#5 Not great driving with the hesitation after the lights changed, but they were already over the line and waiting to turn, so the red light did not apply to them.
A little hesitant but you have to clear the junction. Pretty sure the grey car went on amber.
In fact, without knowing the junction, I would be prepared to say the driver might have been doing the right thing in ensuring the oncoming van was going to stop before clearing the junction. I'm sure there was an Ashley Neil video about this. It's not ideal being in a junction with a red light, but I believe once you have crossed the line it is legal to continue if safe to do so.
@gavinminion8515 Waiting for the van to stop would indicate a lack of understanding of how traffic light systems work.
I wonder if that could even be a minor fault on a driving test? Being too hesitant is, I believe, not a good thing on a test.
Of course it didnt, because people don't know how lights work.
Advanced driving tip never return to lane alongside an HGV
Especially when the lane markings are showing that the left lane is going to turn into an exit soon.
Always enjoy your videos. Great content and really well presented.
Thank you!
Great video 🏁
Tipper drivers are the worst of all large vehicle operators. Always speeding, always tailgating, always late, always aggressive, always on the phone, absolute melons.
Always ripe for criticism.
Always tipping in the wrong bloody place!
I live near a quarry that has tippers coming and going constantly throughout the day and can confirm this to be true. Always look to be in a rush and safety is never one of their concerns. I've always wondered if the operators overwork the drivers or they deliberately hire drivers like that.
great videos as always a pleasure to watch keep up the good work
Red must mean go in Bradford! 🙄
Bradford is lawless....nothing gets enforced.
its astonishing how brainless drivers there are
In my experience any vehicle with Highway maintenance on the back gets a wide berth, none of them can drive properly
He had passed the stop line so was correct to turn. The red light had no legal meaning for him
#11 Was that the Bobiverse? 😁
#9 Obviously as a cyclist I can't go anywhere near the motorway, don't think that car driver should be there either - absolute liability driving like that.
Yes and almost certainly no clue about the trouble and danger caused to other drivers, especially the HGV following who lost all his speed and then had to join the road!
Fair point Daryll, maybe you shouldn't use the motorway.
#3 Goldfish memory may be to blame, but I think there was some Love and Pride involved as well....
#2 0:36, #6 2:04 and #9 3:40 illustrate why it is better not to over/undertake at or near a junction.
I know the area well in #6 and nobody keeps in the lane on that roundabout. The cammer was doing a half decent job until the exit
3:40 had little to nothing to do with over/undertaking. The car driver was given not only one but two opportunities to safely join the main carriageway. All they had to do was to use the accelerator pedal for its intended purpose. Yet they didn't
@@ArminGrewe There are several vehicles overtaking in lanes 2 and 3. If they had held back then the truck could have moved over to lane 2 and the car could have merged more easily. (Of course, they should have been able to do so anyway).
@@Alan_Clark but that's almost entirely irrelevant. There's no expectation let alone requirement for those overtaking vehicles to hold back. I'd even argue on the contrary, they shouldn't do that as that is more likely to cause problems on the main carriageway. The problem here is only the car joining. The first lorry slowed down to let them in, they didn't take the opportunity. Then the cammer slowed down to let them in, yet again they didn't take the opportunity. How many more opportunities do they need?
and always have been, see the 50's / 60's film drivers from hell.staring Patrick McGoohan. Nice to see some things do not change Edit hell drivers film
16: "it was by luck i looked in my mirror", i am pretty sure you should not be using luck, but actually checking your mirrors and blind spot before pulling away. But if luck keeps you safe then i hope it doesnt run out or you will get a big bill for repairs in the future.
Kinda missing the point no?it was the merc that was the dickhead.
Honestly most of that is so every day I wouldn't even bother to save the clip.
#2 Don't change lanes in a HGV blind spot or even along side one at all
I always pull in after I have passed the lorry to prevent this same situation!
#3 01:16 Are they red-green colour blind in Bradford?
They have white in their flag as well.
I wonder if all the cars had skipped the red, or if the lights haven't been set up correctly.
#2 why did you waste your time editing that into the video 🤦
4.47 good book that
2:31 speeding impatient Mercedes driver. There are now National Speed Limit signs there after very long term roadworks
Personally I wouldn’t have moved back into the centre lane in the Lorries blind spot
I`ve had the joy of Mick George lorries pulling out on me, must be something they teach in the company !
Yeah glad I haven't gota dashcam as it seems to either attract a lot of bad drivers to you or have a certain effect on some driver's with dash cams fitted. 😂
Opposite happened to me, the bad drivers all evaporated (meaning I had no content to share). But the reality is, that, if someone does something stupid in front of me, my first reaction is to avoid a collision, not go for the record button.
How did number 2 make it on here?? Two vehicles try to merge into one lane. Id have let the truck in as well so they weren't stuck on a slip road and so i could live another day. Worked out fine.
#15 - that’s a BMW flying Palestinian flags in Maida Vale (a Jewish area). I.e. deliberately making a political point.
It is in England. Who dares to have claims over it to create their own ghettos.
@@briandelamere8468 It’s inevitable that people with similar cultures tend to congregate. And it’s self-reinforcing, as then services like specialist shops and churches start up in the area - as there’s enough folk to make it worthwhile. The English are the same - often choosing to live in proximity as expats. It’s natural. So one can expect foreign folk to live in proximity in the UK: E.g. South Koreans around Raynes Park. The important thing is that such communities get along with their indigenous neighbours, and don’t try to create a mini-version of their home country.
#15 @5:56 Why do they put the arrows that say the lane is suitable for straight on and left and then 25 meters later change to left only!?
So in that instance for the unknowing getting away from the lights swiftly to keep traffic flowing is probably best. Or people will have to filter back into the right lane holding everybody up leaving people missing the lights.
It's actually a timed bus lane. The clip looks from a few years back as the timings is 7am-7pm now, but if you're outside of those times you're well within your right to use the bus lane. It's a a poor design of road, but it's Westminster Council who half arse their road designs.
6:06, firstly you forget he is a Beemer driver, and secondly, he is fly Palestinian flags out of the windows. This means that there is no possibility that he could ever be in the wrong.
or pay tax!
And no chance of the police stopping them either!
We live in a country where some sections seem untouchable. Wrong, all wrong but there you go, the UK in 2024. Do I need a passport to live here if I was born here ?
Some are dope dealers late for drop offs/appointments with the foot soldiers , the light jumping , high speed , dangerous overtakes and just no road rule respect
#15 the biker clearly did it too but not calling him out how come ?
No. 2. HGV doesn't pull out at all.
#15 had a rag hanging out of the window, must have impaired the driver in some way.
It's a Palestinian flag.
@@slayr399 Are you sure, it looked like a rag
I bet that half of these idiots have never read the Highway code!.
#2 was a clip because?
#1 trafic going straight ahead has priority. Car is wrong here.
How was the car at fault when the bike was going the opposite way to the traffic on the pavement?
If that is where I think it is then there is no shared path and therefore the cyclist should have been on the road, not only that he would have been on the wrong side of the road at the time. Yes maybe the driver should have seen him but that doesnot excuse in anyway the blind unutterable stupidity and general ignorance of the utter clown on two wheels.
Can’t watch the video and try to read comments at the same time.
A lot of impatient gits!
Yes true, maybe drive the speed limit instead is driving too slow
#9 how else are you meant to learn how to use a motorway except by (gasp) using a motorway? Maybe leave a bit of space for them next time?
Something similar happened to me not long after I passed my test- couldn’t get into lane 1 and the slip lane I was in went off the motorway again almost immediately, with no way back onto the motorway again at that junction.
If you are unsure you can get some lessons after you pass (or while learning now if it a dual control car)
Driving instruction on the motorway was made legal in June 2018. If you don't take that opportunity you shouldn't really complain. And if you passed your test before 2018 and still haven't learned it you might want to invest in a few driving lessons on the motorway.
PS: in Germany it's even requirement to have a certain number of lessons on the Autobahn before you can take your test
the BMW was late for his plasticine march.
Plenty of dreadful drivers in Surrey, don't care about anybody else
0:46 Possibly one of the most pointless things I have watched on the internet. Might film a cloud in the sky and post it on the internet. It would be more interesting.
Its actually an excellent example of why you should avoid mirroring when changing lanes on a motorway and it was handled well and became a non issue. Nice to see some good driving no need to be an asshole about it
@@WiseOldBill I hope the Old Bill refers to your name rather than your profession as I would consider swearing at a member of public unprofessional and worthy of reporting in this day and age.
#2 Nothing to see here. Just normal give and take of daily driving.
Often feels more like 'All take and no give way' rules...
#7, now that is just demonising the Mercedes....( I never thought I'd say that).
If you look, you can see that his lane is bounded by solid white lines, so he can't cross them. That is not undertaking. The gap he has available is none too generous, so he's got a decision to make. He's up to speed, so he goes for the gap in front of the cammer rather than brake to let the claimed 4 vehicles pass, which might require him braking almost to a stop before merging at low speed onto a high speed road.
If cammer was aware enough of the surroundings to count the number of cars before whom Mercedes would have to yield, then he should have been aware enough to have lifted off for a moment to give Mercedes a bigger gap with which to work. If it were JUST the cammer on the main carriageway, there'd be cause for complaint; but this was Mercedes driver seeing a problem and resolving it with the minimum risk. #9 illustrates the point...
There’s 1 good reason why Bradford Birmingham Leicester have some of worst’s drivers on the road sure we know why and who
Not really familiar with these places, please enlighten me.
Yes please share your wisdom
Probably get banned
@@dommahon191As you should for making racist remarks.
Who’s being racist?nothing been said
I think I know why Bradford is a particularly scummy place for driving . . .
Someone's been watching too much GBeebies!
#1 is a classic example of an arrogant and incompetent driver not thinking that he needs to check before turning right. Could just as easily have been a child running across the road.
and the cyclist was in a cycle lane
typical case of "oh look a cyclist on the pavement using the cycling lane." Yes there is a lane on the road, but it also carries on to the left, which is where the cyclist went. Idiot cammer is an idiot.
@@georgebarnes8163 No, he wasn't. He was off to the side.
@@bustestlucloc4630 the footpath cycle lane changes to a road cycle lane at the junction.
Even if the cyclist was in the cycle lane (which he wasn't), he would've been heading down it in the wrong direction!
We do need to look out for vulnerable road users though, especially cyclists who have zero common sense.
4:59 #12 not sure how the person who wrote the text overtakes other cars but almost always on a single lane road I overtake on the wrong side of the road, it’s kind of the only way to overtake anyone, you might think they’re a d**k but it didn’t appear that there was any oncoming traffic and seemed like a pretty straightforward overtake and given they started overtaking way before the island they’d have seen anyone waiting to cross so genuinely don’t understand what’s dangerous about that overtake 😂
And we all know why driving in Bradford is so bad!
Why?
Let me guess, you're a Daily Mail reading and GB News watching kind of person.
@garyboyle695
I have personal experience of driving in Bradford. I now avoid it like the plague. And no, I do not read the Daily Mail I wouldn't even use it to wipe my a#¥e on, it's so toxic!
When I get a green light I go, I have got a dashcam F##k them.
#16. There's been a set of 'temporary;' traffic lights causing a f****g nuisance on the mountain road out of our valley four over two years, the council has literally done nothing there since they were placed there, and there's no sigh that they will do this year either. I do this all the time. They're short enough to drive through and regardless of direction it is easy to see three or four hundred yards past them. Only idiots wait by them if the road is clear now, and ones that do get passed like this. I actually pass a lot of these so=called temporaries' anyway because around here they are left there for weeks with absolutely nothing being done nu the lazy people who dig the roads up. I don't care if it is now illegal (as it never used to be) - if I can see for a long way I will pass them. Far more worthy of criticism is the behaviour of the driver in clip #17.
6:25 Who would've expected a terrorist sympathiser to ignore the road rules?
#15 you can do whatever you want if you hang that flag
Must have been an Israeli flag then as they seem to be the only ones beyond reproach.
