    Liberty QB Malik Willis
    Junior 6’1 215 lbs
    Liberty QB Malik Willis is the most electrifying QB in college football since Lamar Jackson. The 2021 NFL Draft had great QBs in Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields & Mac Jones, but none of these QBs were as exciting as Willis. He has a strong arm like Patrick Mahomes & Josh Allen while also just as quick & shifty as Lamar Jackson. There’s a lot of hype for Willis right now & he’s shown flashes of why he is worth all the hype. He has a legitimate chance to end up as QB1 on Draft Day.

    Solid arm strength, good touch, excellent running vision. Throws some dimes on the run that few QBs even try to fit in, let alone make. He's not as fast as a Vick or Lamar but shows good instincts. Footwork is all over the place and he rarely goes beyond his first progression; he was likely asked to read one half of the field and bail if nothing was there. Boom or bust guy, needs to sit a year and learn a pro style offense and how to work his footwork in the pocket. don't know his character or makeup but I love his style of QB and hope he succeeds in the NFL ❤

    • @luckytd5585
      @luckytd5585 Před 2 lety +35

      Actually he's just as fast as Vick, possibly even faster now. Vick ran a 4.33 at the combine. Willis ran a 4.37 as a sophomore. Be interesting to see another official 40 but in-game I'd say he's spot on. The speeds identical, very agile, his jukes might not quite be like Vicks, but seems to be pretty close. The passes this guy's makes though are something special. Im a newfound fan, but what I've been seeing so far is just wow.

      He’s probably the same speed as Vick and a little slower then Lamar, he’s probably about 6’0 215 maybe a little bit shorter or taller, but he’s as strong as 240 pound, qb this guy is a video game character with his athleticism and arm strength, if he really puts in the work in the film room than he very well could be a top 3 scrambling qb in the league

    While the hype has died down a bit from the beginning of the season, Liberty QB Malik Willis is still considered one of the top QBs eligible for the 2022 NFL Draft. Of all the other “top” QBs, Willis is the most mobile & has exciting tools NFL teams would love to work with. It’s worth mentioning that Liberty’s offensive line did not do a great job blocking this season. Willis was sacked 50 times compared to just 19 times last season.

    I went to Liberty and have stayed in the area and like to watch the team. His O-line did a horrible job of protecting him and giving him time in the pocket. Thats why he had more INT's and sacks this year compared to last year. Plus the Wr's dropped quite a few passes from him. He'll have a year or 2 to improve his game/learn as a backup in NFL, but he has the tools to be an unreal QB. Can't wait to see his name called on draft night.

    I watched him play and I think he can be a quality NFL Quaterback. I love his athletic ability and he throws a really nice deep ball. I thought he looked pretty comfortable in the Pocket. On the quick hitters it almost looked like he was flicking it. He also seems to have a good feel for the position and overall game. I think his success will depend on where he gets drafted and how that team decides to proceed. My guess is maybe he should go the Trey Lance route where they take it slow and build up. I just think the jump from Liberty to the NFL is a really large jump, nothing against Liberty or those players. I like Malik Willis and I plan on getting some of his Cardboard, I hope he has a good career.
