Might be the minority around here but I went for the 37mm slate dial Rolesium Yachtmaster for my 6.5 inch wrist because it has the same proportions as the original 1953 Submariner ref 6204. The vintage quality makes it so much more appealing knowing you are wearing a Rolex legacy inspired piece not to mention the increased comfort from the reduced use of platinum on the bezel.
Brilliantly done just what I needed to see. Just love how calm and serene your voice is, goes well with the whole theme of yachtmaster, understated elegance.
One big difference bt YM 40 vs 37. The movement 2236 is an older one for smaller cases w 55 hr reserve and Syloxi silicon hairspring which can't be regulated as the Parachrom in 3235 w 70 hr reserve due to the new Chronergy escapement. Try to get the 40 as it's only about $1.000-1.500 difference. It's not like the DJ or OP 36 vs 41 as they all use the new 3230/3235 movement, fyi.
One important point, in case you have a large wrist and yet interested in the 37mm is that the 37mm bracelet is short / shorter than the 40mm I have a big wrist, 7.1in and still wanted the 37mm but after trying it on it was extremely tight. Rolex dealer said there is an option to order extra links, deliverable after months. And yet the 40mm was much more comfortable. I really could not buy it without knowing how it will "eventually" look and feel Very disappointed Also can't believe why Rolex doesnt make the bracelet just a link longer to match the 40mm , since they claim it is not a "ladies" watch
Interesting feedback thanks. By 7" wrist keeps getting slowly bigger due to weight training so the last thing I want is to run into that issue. The 40mm it is then!

Once I was at Rolex and the guy told me I can order yacht master 37 but then said it looks small and won’t fit I told him I have DJ 36 then he said its look smaller than DJ 36. It took me awhile to realize while he was explaining the differences as mentioned in this video.
I have 40mm chocolate. It is the same color as my skin tone, so it blends well with my skin tone, and I have thin arms of about 16cm, but I feel no discomfort.
I have a 6.5" wrist also and YM 40mm is one of the few 40mm watches that fit well. I love my 40mm Sub but as far as the fit goes, Yacht-master is perfect.
This morning I was offered a YM40 2 tones Everose Gold Black dial.. is it a good buy..? I was on a waitlist for a GMT Master II but they said it’s gonna take some time, 1-2yrs Is YM a better watch thn a GMT?
I applaud Rolex for offering their watches in different sizes, and attributes it as part of the brands success. I have always wondered what would become of a shoe brand which only produces one size of their shoe models!? Why would it differ for watch brands? Wrist size’s differs so watches should differ as well!

The success of the 37mm Tudor BB54 (released this year, 2023) makes me wonder whether watch collectors may be giving the YM37 a second look.

I love smaller watches, but YM37 is really small. The dial size is similar to an OP34, so I got a DJ36 instead.

Such a conundrum. The 40mm supercase is basically a Panerai. But this 37 looks like CRAZY small. 36mm DJ all day. OP's in 36 is the GOLDILOCKS!
