The one he has is a fake of a fake. Mid grade at best. The actual superclones are INSANE
There are variations in the Gen as well from year to year and even between batches. There are changes made to the bracelet, coronet, crown, fonts etc. Rolex doesn’t announces these changes. Also, sellers of fakes often know the flaws and can correct them be replacing with Gen parts. It’s easy to source Gen hands or to have the hands refinished. You must always check the movements, that’s the one major area where the fakes still have some catching up.

These luxury brands need to learn it the hard way they can't keep charging obscenely high prices for their "luxury" watches!
nowadays, people prefer super clone watches over the original as it's in a reasonable price and of high quality, people want to feel luxurious without having to spend thousand of dollars so i usually shop from wristova, it's pretty dope and is wonderful to gift someone.

It's scary now and I started to not trust sellers anymore apart from rolex themselves. Unless im a seasoned watch collector or dealer, how do I actually know which one is which + if we dont know what to look for? Disturbing. Heck, even having an access to a real one to compare with in the first place is already hard on its own. What a world we live in!
Are you high ? Fuck waiting lists. Grab a clone. Don’t waste your life waiting like a loser. Rolex treat their customers like beggars. Time for things to change.

Great stuff a couple years ago I purchased a AP carbon diver from China for $800 super clone as I am a collector and really wanted to get down to see how good they were since I purchased that Watch was purchased my timepieces directly from the A.D. I just cannot trust myself as everywhere I wore that watch to the boutiques, they could not tell the difference

Hi, about the dial shot, are you sure the top one is the fake watch? Because the print looks so much crisper and sharper than on the bottom one.
Have you ever seen a fake movement with a free sprung balance? Because that's usually the first thing I look for ...

They exist for sure, but as franken watches - as Peter said, parts can be swapped out so the most obvious thing to swap out in the movement is the balance
@@Ds92817 That’s a challenging swap out. There’s a lot going on with the relationship between pallet and balance. Have you seen one or taking an educated guess of their existence?
I had a Super Clone took to two different Watch stores in Miami both thought it was real, a third Watch store asked if they could take apart as they could not tell. This super close cost $900 and looks amazing. It is a Stainless Pepsi GMT Master II.
Notice how the "Yachtmaster" on the real one has a brighter saturated light blue compared to the fake. Fake has a darker, dull kindly

I dont know what to look for, the same way say maybe you dont know what a phishing email could be, or a lemon of a car. But again, its comes down to your point. This is my feeling about luxury watches. If you have the money, and i mean disposable $ to buy a real one, do it. If a clone is the closest you can get, so be it, wear it proudly and learn about the watch. Don’t try to fool a real watch person and most times they will respect you more. These watches should mean something, tell a story, celebrate a milestone. And if a $500 super clone is to celebrate a special milestone. Be proud of it and congratulations.
I worked out which one was the fake straight away. From the colour of the dial gave it away for me. It’s an amazing model the Yacht Master, I bought the blue dial version.

Who’s getting scammed the people buying the “fake” thats damn near identical for what it’s worth in reality ? Or a person spending thousands on a watch that you can’t really tell the difference ?
easiest way is always to look at the movement. The replicas cant pull off the freesprung balance. Screenshot 5:40 and use that as a reference for any rolex you want to authenticate. The replica will always have the micro adjusters.
Scary how identical these replicas are starting to get, need to carry around a magnifying glass for this.
Exactly, however I can usually just see it within a few seconds but toss a few real parts in the mix and boom you have a much harder situation on your hands
True that Peter, real bezel, real dial, real hands and a real movement and then it’s much harder (still not impossible though, with a little knowledge and experience) - it can be helpful to know common serials the fake factories use but even then these can be customised for a premium….

KrawnKam, I see the opposite happening (unless I misunderstood your point). I can see the fake watch producers using AI and hi-res cameras to produce a more perfect fake, albeit with cheaper materials.

Peter, point well taken. 99% of us collectors won't be able to know if we bought a fake or not online. Because of this Rolex rolled out its CPO Program, but at prices higher than retail. I wanted to ask your opinion if you think the prices that Rolex charges is worth buying CPO or not? Secondly, many large volume grey market dealers do not have a watchmaker onboard to verify authenticity like you do for your business. In your expert opinion, are these fakes getting through these large volume grey market dealers?
Absolutely they are getting through dealers hands I’ve seen it happen numerous times.
CPO Is an absolute joke, prices are out of control as well. You’re basically paying double or triple just to get a used watch with a CPO card.. it helps Grey dealers as we are priced significantly less but the mass public would like the “cpo” reassurance, go to sell it and you’re losing 50%+ easily

So this is a $400 clone. What happens when you buy a $1200 clone. I mean, the lack of a free sprung balance is always the most obvious give away but at some point the fakes will have that too.
Well technically you can put a real balance on the fake 😂 I believe it’s cost affective for the companies to try and replicate this, but yes they will only get better never perfect but one day they will be “close” enough

Interestingly I knew which one was fake at the start but the way he presented them while saying one was sent in I thought I was wrong, and thought to myself weird that the fake is the better one
For 325 dollars you can buy an authentic 3235 automatic winding component set and slap it into a replica 3235
EXACTLY RIGHT! This is why you need to have someone you can trust / know what they’re looking at to make sure the watch is 100% real

What I take from this is that wealthy people are wearing fake Rolex and other fake watches. Wealthy people don’t pay for high quality watches. It doesn’t make sense. If you know the person is wealthy, then why do they need to prove that their watches are real.

It is so annoying to me that if you want to buy fucking Rolex you nead to put your name in waiting list and then after waiting for who knows how long they will sell you watch that costs thousands of dollars that is better then replica but you nead to use microscope to determine if it is fake or real.
He keeps saying he's not worried, he can tell... but I can tell you right off, those bracelets being produced now are exact fits and once refinished many authenticators like him can't tell. They just pretend so they can continue selling watches. I have seen the best authenticators here pass off fake bracelets as originals. You can easily swap parts and never know the difference. Good luck.. moral of the story is don't pay above retail.

everyone has their own preferences, and financial means, for most a watch isn't just a flex it means something to them hence why they go real. if I was in a 3rd world country or one with a high crime rate id probably wear a replica as well not worth risking my life..
