The CRV7, short for "Canadian Rocket Vehicle 7", is a 2.75-inch (70 mm) folding-fin ground attack rocket produced by Bristol Aerospace in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was introduced in the early 1970s as an upgraded version of the standard U.S. 2.75-inch air-to-ground rockets. In 2024 the Department of National Defence is considering donating the rockets to Ukraine as military aid to defend against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. An estimated 8,000 rockets have functioning warheads while the remainder could be used for parts or modification.

As a Canadian I'm proud of our country. We're small but we're with you Ukraine.
Small? Compared whith what country? Russia?😅
@@Roma_Aeterna_SPQR It's a big country whit a very small population for it's size so in this context I would think you can say small
yeah practically the same economic power as Russia.
Not that small...
We are. Sometimes I wonder about the government. We don't need any of our equipment. Sent it all to them. Who's gonna attack us other than Trump.
I mean small in population…not in area!

Canada is also in the process of donating a NASAM air defence system to Ukraine. As a Canadian living near Toronto I can tell you there is a massive population of Canadians with Ukrainian heritage living here.
Prior to the war, Canada had the third highest population of Ukrainians after Ukraine, and russia. By now, we probably have the highest population of Ukrainians outside of Ukraine. 💙💛
This is the same 1.3% Canada that its own CBC News reported: "Half of our military equipment is unserviceable." Half of a small military is ... miniscule.
Once its built. In a couple of years.
Speaking of Manitoba, There are millions of Ukrainian migrants there who are the backbone of the Canadian agricultural industry.
Can't overstate the Ukrainian contribution to Canada.

@@douglashowell8368Yeah they have a cultural festival it's hard to miss.
Artur - I know you're dying to know:
Manitoba is a portmanteau early settlers borrowed from Indigenous Peoples... and no one is sure what it originally was intended to mean. Common interpretation now is "Manitoba" derives from the Cree words "manitou-wapow" or the Ojibwe "manidoobaa," both of which refer to the narrows of Lake Manitoba.
Also, the term "manitou" means "spirit" or "Great Spirit" in several Algonquian languages, and "wapow" or "baa" refers to the strait or narrows where Lake Manitoba narrows to only about 1 km in width at The Narrows. This area was significant for Indigenous Peoples as a place of meeting and trade, and it was believed to be a place of spiritual power.
And another interpretation suggests the name comes from the Assiniboine word "Mini Tobow," referring to the Lake of the Prairie Island, which also points to the geographical features of the region.

All it takes for evil to win, is for the good to do nothing. Neutrality does nothing but hurt those who are fighting for good, we need to urge neutral peoples and nations to stand up and fight for what is right.
I don't like hurting people. But when someone is punching you in the face, and words have failed, what does one do? Sit and take it? Fight back? I don't like seeing people die, but I really don't like seeing an independent nation be invaded and taken over. I wish there were other options than fight back, but I have yet to find any better alternatives presenting themselves after years of following this war..

Yea ez to be lazy with 🇺🇸 to the south and a (now melting) ice wall above us. Majority of us are European descendants, but the state has relied heavily upon our isolation for decades as a defence against world threats.

@@BlackEpyon That, and the fact that we just don't have enough people joining. It's hard to justify spending more on the military when none of that extra stuff will get used because we don't have the soldiers.

The UK just announced they're sending 10,000 drones to Ukraine, great timing!
Only 1,000 are one way attack drones, most are reconnaissance. I don't think Rishi Sunak cares about Ukraine as an Indian origin politician. I'm British and view Ukraine as part of the European "family" but I don't think he holds that view. Hopefully come November he will be gone. I truly believe Labour will do much more to assist Ukraine.
That's huge. Ukraine need drones. Surveillance drones make artillery more accurate. They are a real effective weapon.
Anything to do with the new Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, Gen. Zaluzhny?
@@maxisussex Reconnaissance drones are much needed too. The more advanced notice you can get on any enemy movement the better. We've seen entire columns of Russian tanks and IFVs being taken out before making contact because Ukraine had enough eyes in the sky. Ukraine has already exceeded their goals of domestic attack drone production, so that's not the most pressing shortage. More highly professional drones with both thermal and night vision (and hopefully laser pointers, for the arrival of F-16s) and the ability to relay signals for the FPV drones will be a huuuge boost Ukraines Active Defence model.
Artur, I can see why you found new meaning, you’ve created a community based on mutual compassion, respect, justice and liberty for not just Ukraine, but any country that stands for what’s right and defends itself against invasion. It’s been a complicated war, but the outpouring of support for Ukraine has made me believe in humanity again.

We've been intermarrying for 120 years. Most Ukrainians in Canada don't even have Ukrainian last names ... I bet it it's way more that 3 or 4 percent.... but I saw that figure you mentioned. It's likely closer to that.
@@jamesewanchook2276 Most Ukrainians just shortened their last names for ease of pronunciation, but 4 percen of Canada's populaton is Ukrainian. ( 1.3 million people).
God bless you Canada.🇨🇦
